Amazing gift for my girlfriend. Honestly, this turned out so much better than I expected. I made a personalized AI comic for my girlfriend and it was such a cool way to turn some of our memories into something we could actually keep.

I’m obsessed with this company! I got a book for my best friend’s graduation and she absolutely loves it. There was a tiny issue with the generation (although some of the AI quirks made the story hilarious lol) and the customer service team went above and beyond. Highly recommend!!

Amazing customer service, I had a little problem with one of the pictures and it was solved in no time. Highly recommendable! Now, we just have to wait a bit and get the perfect gift for our comic lover!!

This was my first time using Kindred Press and designing an AI comic book as a gift. I had a lot of fun, and I had great support from Sophie at Kindred. I had quite a few asks and I needed a significant amount of assistance over the last few weeks to design the book I wanted. Sophie got back to me immediately each and every time answering my questions and assisting me until the final version was just what I wanted. Make sure you understand how the credits work. They are mentioned in the directions. I look forward to getting the final product in the mail. I highly recommend Kindred to create and give your loved one a unique gift built specifically for them!

As a total technophobe I couldn’t be more thankful to the wonderful Sophie from customer services. She literally guided me through some of the complex issues I had to ensure that I got exactly what I wanted. I came across Kindred on social media and couldn’t resist ordering one for my wife; she’s going to love it as a Christmas present and I can’t wait to see her face when she opens it.

Honestly, Kindred (Sophie) have been amazing and I cannot speak highly enough of their customer service. It should be commended and I’m so grateful. I will certainly recommend you to my friends and family who are going to surely be ‘asking’ questions when we show them the book.

I have ordered 3 books weeks ago with zero confirmation, just the money being taken. I have also emailed several times with no response! Absolute shambles of a company!

I ordered a book for my wife's birthday and she absolutely loved it. It was super easy to make and surprisingly only took a few days to arrive. The illustrations came out really well and perfectly matched what I wrote. I'm also really happy with the print quality, the text and images are clear and the book feels well made. Overall I'm really happy with the result, I'll be ordering more of these in the future.

I really enjoyed the story, and the pictures were absolutely perfect! The whole process was smooth and easy, and I was very impressed with the quality of the pages. I received the book even before my expected delivery date, which was a lovely surprise. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the book, the quality, the service, and the reasonable price. Highly recommended!

I ordered two books for 2 very difficult men to shop for. The storylines are hilarious, the images look like the people that I purchased the books for and all of the family members were so pleased with their own images in the books. I had a little difficulty with one book and they were prompt and helpful. Customer service was truly top tier! They were able to solve my problems and answer my questions very quickly. I highly recommend this, and I myself will be ordering more. What a great gift!!

Avoid!! The comic is cute, its nice with the images and personal details hence the second star BUT the story makes no sense, it is riddled with inconsistent images so every single panel needs correcting often multiple times if the AI can't understand. So that means several extra payments to fix it. Once you pay for generating the comic, you cant get a refund. And customer service is almost impossible to contact. So youre stuck with either getting a fairly rubbish comic, or spending double the amount to fix it. Incredibly expensive for something that is essentially a brief novely for a smile. It made me smile but it is entirely NOT worth the money!

I've been really loving Kindred Press. I got several books through them for my dad, mom and my brother. They were really easy to work with, design was a breeze, intuitive and made some great stories. Illustrations were superb. Shipping was fast, everything was smooth. I already have more ideas for new books and will definitely be ordering some more for special gifts, everyone has loved them!! Would recommend! ⭐

Okay, I admit I haven't gone ahead to buy the book. Initial glance at the generated cover and back cover (I can't see more without paying) look reasonable. But a closer look shows one of the distance shots of the cat has two tails, my child's friend has two pony-tails, and the AI can't cope with a one-eyed cat. My photograph is clear, but the AI is putting two eyes on the cat. One of its main features is that it has one eye! The black and white colouring of the cat is inconsistent between front and back cover too. A shame as it seems such a good idea, but based on the images I'm shown before committing to purchase, I won't be continuing.

DON'T DO IT!

I gave this a try... The artwork was good. I enjoyed seeing that part but the story made no sense... I wanted to try again because even me editing wouldn't have helped... But you have to pay to generate another story which I didn't think I should do when the story was not good... When I asked for a refund I was told I can't get my full refund back because I paid for AI to make me a 💩 story.

DO NOT BUY, I wouldn't recommend

I have decided to pop back on and amend my review following their customer service team resolving my issues.
Making the book was not too bad, it was good how it managed to use my images to create the characters.
Response times are slow, I appreciate this is likely due to the time difference as I am in the UK which is not something Kindred Press are to blame for.

My issue with the experience really come down to the error in the book and the difficulty to correct this. I noticed one of the panels had my husbands character on there twice in error instead of my husband and another character. I, unfortunately, had an error message each time I tried to amend this and it ended up going to printing with this error on. This was disappointing as the rest of the book was great, the characters represented us well and the story was silly yet suited my husband totally.

I initially had issues with the customer service, post purchase but was happy and relieved to have gotten this resolved. Customer service originally refunded me 50% of the price paid but after further correspondence they kindly refunded me the full amount.

I appreciate AI generation comes with risk of errors, but found it frustrating that I had issues trying to correct these.
I would recommend these books as the quality if great and the gift is personal. But I would highly recommend also checking your book design as quickly as possible once made. Due to the fast postage efforts made by the team, it can sometimes leave little room for edits if many are done. There is a pause production option which I'd suggest using if you need more time also.

Whilst the quality of the books are great, the process is terrible. I'm from the UK, so I know there will be a delay in communication, but 5 days later after over 8 emails plus about 3 or 4 website messages and only two responses isn't great.
I built my book and there was loads of errors.
Firstly you pick you characters and give a description of what they are like, plus a photo.
I noted my mother was in a wheelchair.
Every photo of my mother she was stood up. So I had to go to every image and edit it. Every edit you use a credit and I didn't have enough credits to charge all the images. The two emails I received they gave me 10 credits. However, that was not enough. Generating a new image then effected the other characters. Placing them in a wheelchair or speaking instead of the person supposedly speaking. Changing nephews into brothers. It was soul destroying, I couldn't even give up, as you have to pay before producing the book. After the last credits I was given I thought I'd completed it and went to bed to check again the following morning. However, it had gone to print and published. I then noticed one of the photos my mother was standing and another person was in a wheel chair. I was so upset. I checked my other images and noticed I had actually generated the correct image but hadn't highlighted it, so it didn't save it for print.
There really should be a double check feature just incase. It took me 5 days to build the 32 page gloss book (i paid the extra for their best version) having to wait for a return email and the credits i received.
I'm not sure if it's a really small business with just a handful of customer support staff. But this needs to be looked at.
I was so excited to begin with in building the book, that is now ended in disappointment knowing that when it arrives, it's going to be wrong.
My mother has terminal cancer, my father not in the best of health, so was hoping this would have given them some enlightenment under the circumstances.
