Clickbait and activism. It's no longer about gaming at all, that's just the guise they use to hide their agendas. They don't fully provide all the facts or thoughtful arguments towards any sensitive subjects, they're more interested in telling you what to think and why you should be against something or someone.

Nintendo has blacklisted Kotaku and they're so bad at writing video game articles that they've had to turn off comments (something a new outlet should never do as this is what keeps people coming back and increases your ad view rate) because people were mocking their articles.

Pre 2012 Kotaku used to be great for Asia focused gaming, anime and manga news. But now with what they've become there's no reason for anyone to visit the site anymore. My advice to everyone is to block it in your news feeds so your algorithms will give you a better news source.

Back to back poorly structured, Incoherent articles. Their last review was copy and paste screenshot from steam reviews. The one before that was how a Sony owned company was too loyal to Sony.

The people writing this drivel don't live in the real world, nor do they game.

Kotaku is one of the gaming journalist sites that does not talk about video games, and rather does hit articles on gamers. They shouldn't be categorized as a video game journalists, but rather as cancan or a tabloid.

It's just racists who spread hatred and vitriol hoping that the ensuing drama will bring them popularity and traffic.

No better than the toxic garbage your grandma reads on Facebook. It's the same thing.

Racist company. Promulgating hatred through articles and propaganda which is dividing people by race, cast, class, religion and ethnicity. They actively pit people against each other and profit from the exposure. Disgusting.

Time after time, Kotaku proved to be an outlet pushing racist, anti-white propaganda, dismissive especially of white male gamers. They stoop to level so low, that they publish pieces defending other racist organisations. Shameful, disgusting organisation.

Website for misinformation and political agendas

The whole website facades as an information-driven hub, until it devolves into a depraved propaganda machine everytime any subject touches topics that hurt some woke and left-leaning political agenda.
Users are unable to read a stable source of real information and facts, being forced to browse lies and propaganda puked out without any context whatsoever. It's just sad to be using a network to spread misinformation and extremist political views. To be avoided.

This is nothing but a left wing propaganda network. These aren't game reviews, they aren't even opinions. They're simply attacks on anything the "writers" at Kotaku don't like.

The try to shut down the silliest things and give otherwise great games terrible reviews because something in it didn't sit well with them. Someone forgot to tell them that the entire gaming community isn't just for one group of people.

It's painfully obvious that they don't even play most of the games they write about or review. It's just an attack page. Please avoid this site at all cost.

Sees politics when there's not and rate games by wether they liked playing it or not.

This is a garbage site that forces politics into a discussion about video games and only works in sensationalist click-bait articles.

Their staff have continuously shown and admitted to not playing the video games they claimed they did, adding political preferences in irrelevant articles, and ultimately writing click-bait articles to sow discontent in the gaming community.

Furthermore, they make false statements about controversial topics in the nerd community that originally never existed until they started talking about it. Multiple racial and LGBTQ+ community members have consistently spoke out against Kotaku in their crusade to attack the Geek/Nerd/Gamer community for being "exclusive" when that was never the case.

Nerdy/Geeky culture existed for the socially outcasted and the moment Kotaku and it's sensationalist writers came on the scene, They have been trying to divide our community as a whole. They've been advocating hate and bigotry while pretending to stand up for issues that just didn't exist in the community until they said it did when there was little to no evidence.

Kotaku's parent company should fire every last one if them and hire YouTubers who have been bringing the nerd news to the community for years. Nothing about what they do brings pride, honor, or respect to our fandoms and culture.
