First off “in stock ready to ship next day” took 9 days to arrive, ordered a size medium based on their size chart, they come and had the measurements of a women’s small, asked to be provided a returns label as they’re not as described said I had to cover shipping WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW I did in the end as I couldn’t be bothered arguing any more

All I can say is if you want over priced Zara quality with slow shipping, wrong measurements and rubbish customer service go with these 👍

Waiting for some half ass explanation of how they take these things seriously and it’s “their returns policy” doesn’t trump the law pal

I know my measurements that’s why I ordered my size according to your size chart I suggested you actually take one of your products and compare it to your size chart because they don’t match up at all, and I think it’s you who has to have a google mate if a product isn’t as described return must be covered by you under the consumer rights act

We’re sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience with your order. We always aim to provide the best possible service and never want a customer to feel let down.

To clarify, our returns process is fully compliant with UK consumer law, A quick google search will show that return shipping being paid by the customer is perfectly legal, as we always cover shipping to the customer, we kindly request that the customer pay for return shipping. This is all clearly stated in our shipping and returns policy prior to purchase, customers are responsible for return postage costs unless an item is faulty or incorrect. Your order was processed in line with this policy.

Regarding sizing, all garments are produced to the measurements listed on the size chart provided on the product page, and we always recommend comparing these measurements carefully before ordering. Our fits are intentionally designed with a specific silhouette in mind, which may differ from standard high street sizing.

We also have to strongly disagree with the comments regarding quality. Our denim is what the brand is most recognised for, with a large number of returning customers specifically purchasing from us because of the fabrics, washes, and construction quality we use.

That said, we genuinely appreciate all feedback and are sorry again that your experience did not meet expectations.

Edit: Please could you email our customer support with images of the item, Of course if the measurements are off then we can find a solution that works for you, whether it be a size exchange or refund.

Genuinely Speaking One Of My Favourites

Lamentist has to be hands down one of the most promising & underrated brands based out of London.

Been a loyal customer for years now & the quality of their products just keeps getting better & better. I’m pleasantly surprised every single time. Compared to other contemporaries, their clothes feel like they should be worth five times what they would charge & would even rival luxury design houses in terms of feel, comfort & wearability.

I’ve faced minor delays before with pre-orders but the customer support team dealt with it with so much kindness & professionalism I was taken aback by the level of intricacy put into this independent brand.

Highly recommend.

Not trustful at all

My experience with The Lamentist has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I initially ordered a pair of jeans that were sold as a pre-order item. As requested, I patiently waited the advertised 3–4 weeks for production and shipment. During that waiting period, the brand released a hoodie with a fur-lined hood, which I also purchased.

After some time, The Lamentist posted on Instagram that all pre-order jeans had been shipped and that the hoodies had been sent out as well. Since I had not received any tracking information, I left a comment asking for an update. Reaching out by email seemed pointless, as customer support has a reputation for being unresponsive.

The response I received was that it was a day off and that someone would get back to me on the next business day. I found this strange, as it should have taken very little effort to simply confirm whether my orders had been shipped or not.

Four days later, I finally received an email stating that due to the situation in my country, they had no shipping providers available to deliver to my location. This explanation makes no sense. The company ships through UPS, and UPS has continued delivering to my country throughout this period.

As a result, I can only conclude that the issue was not logistics but the personal or political views of the brand’s owner. Regardless of the reason, making a customer wait nearly a month only to provide an explanation that appears to be false is completely unacceptable.

What is particularly frustrating is that neither of my orders was rejected when they were placed. Nobody noticed the shipping address for almost a month. Nobody contacted me proactively. The website continued allowing customers from my country to place orders. If shipping was truly impossible, why was the order accepted in the first place? Why was the shipping option not removed? Why was I not informed immediately?

This level of communication and customer service is deeply unprofessional. I would not recommend doing business with a brand that handles customers this way. If they are willing to cancel orders after weeks of waiting and provide questionable explanations, it raises concerns about what other decisions they may make based on their own principles rather than professional business practices.

At the time of writing, I am still waiting for my refund. According to their email, it should have already been processed, yet I have received nothing. It appears that I may once again have to resort to leaving public comments on Instagram just to get a response from the company.

Hi thank you for taking the time to write this, and we're sorry your experience fell short. You're right that the communication around your order wasn't good enough, and we take that seriously.

To clarify the outcome: we were unfortunately unable to fulfil shipping to Isreal, and a full refund has been issued from our end. Refunds can take several business days to appear depending on your payment provider — if it hasn't landed by 1-3 business days, please reply to your order email and we'll send you confirmation of the refund reference so you can follow it up with them directly.

We've also reviewed our checkout so that orders we can't fulfil aren't accepted in the first place. That should have been caught before you ever placed your order, and we apologise that it wasn't. If there's anything outstanding, please reach us at support@lamentist.com and we'll deal with it directly.

As an end note, one of the brand owners is Lebanese. take that how you will.

Talk about a good pair of jeans

The quality of Lamentist jeans is insane. The skinny jeans are the best around because they’re so stretchy, soft, and comfortable while maintaining a tight, somewhat stacked, silhouette. Never have I had skinny jeans that I don’t mind, let alone enjoy, wearing all day. I’m also a big fan of the flares which are infinitely flattering and comfortable. The tops are also great and, of course, go perfectly with the jeans. It’s awesome finding a smaller brand that cares so much about the design and quality of their clothes and also has good customer service.

Good support, Good quality and best jeans from an instagram brand

This is my 2nd order, my first order took a couple weeks to arrive due to an issue with UPS, when I emailed the support they apologised for the delay and sorted it out with some store credit for future orders. When the jeans arrived I was really impressed with the quality of the jeans. The denim feels heavy and well made, and the fit is exactly what I was hoping for. You can tell a lot of attention went into the details and finishing. Shipping was also way quicker than expected on the second order which was a nice surprise. Definitely will be buying again.

Two years of lies, wrong sizes, and deliberate fraud -> Avoid at all costs

I have now had two separate experiences with Lamentist. I am writing this after finally winning a chargeback against them. Every single claim below is documented with emails.

First experience (2025): I ordered multiple items. Delivery took over a month despite repeated assurances it was on its way. When my order finally arrived, two items were the wrong size. I later realised the owner had deliberately sent wrong sizes because he didn't have my sizes in stock. Rather than issuing a refund he sent a free hoodie to silence me. After months of back and forth, broken promises, and excuses, I received my correct items after 6 months. I was new to online shopping disputes and naively believed his excuses throughout. I should have filed a chargeback immediately.

Second experience (2026): I made an impulse purchase at midnight. Within 10 minutes of contacting them on Instagram a shipping label was created. I emailed to cancel and was told the package was already "in transit" and could not be cancelled. This was a lie. The label had just been created. I agreed to refuse delivery at customs and have it returned.

After a week I changed my mind and decided to keep the order, but noticed the tracking showed nothing had actually shipped. I contacted them asking when it would ship and got no response. When I followed up saying I wanted a refund if it would take much longer, they suddenly replied and admitted the package had never been sent and would not ship until end of the following week. They offered a 50 GBP store credit voucher as a bribe to keep me quiet.

I immediately requested a full refund since they had now admitted to lying about the shipping status. They ignored me all day. The moment I mentioned a chargeback they suddenly claimed the package had "just shipped today." This was their third lie about shipping status. They then blamed me for "changing my mind," ignoring the fact that I only reconsidered the refund because I believed their false claim that it had already shipped.

I refused delivery, the package was returned, confirmed by UPS tracking. I emailed them with proof of return and demanded a refund confirmation. They asked for tracking information even though the tracking already clearly showed as delivered back to them. I sent it anyway. They claimed to have processed the refund and said I would receive a Shopify confirmation shortly. No confirmation arrived. When I asked for a screenshot of their Shopify admin showing the refund, they went completely silent for over 24 hours.

I filed a chargeback with my bank. Only then did a refund confirmation appear.

This company has a clear and repeated pattern. They lie about shipping status, ignore refund requests, and only act when a chargeback is threatened, then blame the customer. The owner knowingly sends wrong sizes to avoid refunds and uses free items as bribes. Two completely separate experiences, same behaviour, documented in full.

DO NOT buy from LAMENTIST. Ever.

Edit: If you have read this far, the brand owner is creating fake reviews in response to every negative review on Trustpilot. Very scummy brand, which only further strengthens my message.

Regarding your first order in 2025 this was during a period where we experienced an unexpected surge in demand, which unfortunately led to some stock discrepancies and delays. While this isn’t the standard we aim for, we did communicate throughout the process and worked to resolve this by offering exchanges, replacements, and additional items at no cost to you. Our goal was always to make sure you received your items, which you ultimately did.

For your second order in 2026, once an order enters our fulfilment system and a shipping label is generated, it is processed quickly to avoid delays for customers. We understand there was some back-and-forth regarding cancellation, however we continued to assist you throughout. When you later chose to proceed with the order, we updated you accordingly on dispatch timing. You state that it took multiple weeks for the order to ship, but according to the tracking it only took 1 week, which matches our 3-5 working days aim.

Once the parcel was returned to us, your refund was processed successfully. With some banks it can take multiple days for the refund to show. There was no intention at any stage to withhold funds we simply follow standard return and processing procedures.

We always offer refunds, exchanges, or resolutions where requested, and we also go further by offering goodwill gestures when issues arise. Unfortunately, in this case, despite multiple attempts to resolve things in good faith, it seems we were unable to meet your expectations.

We take all feedback seriously and continue to improve our operations as we grow.

Ordered Backstage Waxed denim noir and…

Ordered Backstage Waxed denim noir and waited 2 months because they had delays. UPS had another 1.5 months of delays. When i finally got them, theyre this shitty cheap flimsy denim and the wax looks like latex. Wax jeans should looks heavy and waxed, not like im wearing balloons. Would never recommend, 200 GBP is absurd for this bullshit denim

Terrible

Terrible overall experience.
The jeans that I've ordered do NOT look like they're advertised. It's literally a different model. I mentioned this problem to their customer service, which they just disregarded and they didn't take me serious at all. Mind you, a pair of pants here runs you easily way above 100 €. And you get this type of customer service.

I now filed a dispute on PayPal to get my money back because they also don't respond to e-mails.

Do NOT waste your time and order from these people. Scammers.
