What a lovely experience, Customer service was exceptional and I received my order the next day. Huge thanks to Lisa for guiding me through what I needed.

Ordered 2 identical lights a while back but never put them up as the room wasn’t read. Opened them but one was the wrong colour (I think the glass is faulty as there isn’t another colour option for that light. Appreciate it was past the returns period but the light was wrong/faulty - not damaged. Tried to contact twice but not had a response

Just rung the company to ask about a product that I am trying to find. They did not have the size I needed but the lady, Caroline, was so helpful and so polite. Having just had a dreadful experience with Ledsone this was so good to have a polite and helpful customer service person at the other end of the phone. Thank-you

Suddenly needed an E27 Lampholder with Shade Rings and 10mm threaded entry to replace an old fashioned Bayonet Cap fitting that was very rickety and potentially unsafe.

FAST DELIVERY: The order was delivered inside 5 days, two of which were over a weekend.

QUALITY: Even more impressed than my previous order. The electrical connection component is very well manufactured; and the holder, brass screw and shade rings are well fitted and of good quality.

Safety: Compared to the old Bayonet Cap units these modern Screw fittings are, in my opinion, much safer as there is almost no risk of fingers making accidental contact with the live & neutral terminals.Something to bear in mind with wobbly old BC fittings!

I had a frustrating experience with this company.

I enquired about a light gallery fitting I needed, and they requested photos and measurements of my lamp. I took various photos, showing all relevant measurements with a tape measure. I explained that I had already tried one size of light gallery, which didn't fit.

They replied in very few words (which didn't inspire much confidence), pointing me to a particular product, which I bought, along with a note to double check about the sizing, which went unanswered.

The only shipment option was an extra £8.50, which I thought steep for a small fitting weighing about 150g. The product was sent to me via Royal Mail tracked 48, which I later learnt cost them around £2.70.

What they had recommended to me turned out to be the same fixing that I had previously bought elsewhere, and which didn't fit, as I had explained to Lamps and Lights along with my measurements and photos. To be fair, they did include some extra screws in the order, in case these helped with the fit.

To exchange it for the larger size, they asked me to again pay another hefty £8.50 delivery charge. What stung was that they also refused to take any responsibility for costs incurred to return the incorrect product, which they had recommended me on seeing the very clear photos and measurements of my lamp, along with my explanations of what I had already tried.

I felt like they hadn't paid much attention to the info I provided, given that their responses were so scant. I got the impression they didn't really care about listening carefully to what I needed, and using care and attention to find the right solution.

Despite me suggesting it might be fair for them to take at least some responsibility for this error, they neglected to reply to that point, even when I pressed them again.

In the end I found the correct product on Ebay for cheaper, and with free delivery.

Kindness and good customer service doesn't cost much, but it means a lot, and it was sorely missing in this experience.

I ordered a lampshade carrier for a table lamp which turned out to be unsuitable. I returned this and asked for a refund. A week after the return was received I had to chase for my refund. This was done fairly promptly but the refund was £8.50 less than what I had paid. The website states a price of £4.90 for post and packing so I queried this with the company. I was told that the charges had been increased to £8.50. I had paid this when I ordered it so obviously I wasn’t paying attention to the amount I was paying. As it cost me only £3.89 for the tracked return I pointed out that I thought this was excessive. Unfortunately no further refund was given to me so all in all I am now £12.39 out of pocket. So beware if ordering from this company, there are expensive postage charges and no free returns. I would not recommend.

I have been ordering from these guys for a number of years each time I get a new antique lamp or need antique style lighting flex. Never had any order issues, but then never had to return anything.

Would appreciate a wiring diagram (on the website) for the in-line power switch, but not too difficult to Google and find a similar switch.

Unfortunately I tried to order a light which the courier ran into problems with. That's fair enough as couriers are the problem, but Lamps and Lights. But since then, it's been returned to them, I have no light, no money, no contact and they have vanished.

Impossible to return anything...they provide return labels but the item has to sent back to Dutch warehouse. This then becomes a big issue as they do not provide international commercial invoice...constant emailing...no answer. Best not to buy from this company. I had 2 returns..one was wrong size, the other badly damaged in transit...I have not been credited for either...they should be reported to better business bureau.

Ordered 3 feet of light chain. These twits put it in a box so that the worst delivery service in the world (the Royal Mail) cant't put it through my letter box. Would have fitted easily into a padded envelope.

Worst customer service! Completely disengaged with dealing with me refund. Still haven’t received my full refund after returning the item and receiving an email saying I will have my refund within 3 days, 10 days later still had nothing and stopped replying to my emails! Disgusting

Excellent customer service. Really helpful on the phone. Parts ordered Monday-demijohn lamp converted on Wednesday. Highly recommend

Ordered 26/12/2020, still no delivery of items. 2 x emails to find out where it is and no response, avoid this company ! I’m now £70 out of pocket !!

I ordered 12 pendant lights from Lamps and Lights for our cafe, taking the opportunity of closure during lockdown to redecorate. They were incredibly good value (85% off). I thought the offer might be too good to be true as I had read a few negative reviews of the company, but the lights arrived really quickly and are absolutely stunning. We're now open again and all of the customers are commenting on how great the new lights look.
