Customer service nonexistent

Customer service nonexistent. Every time you try to cancel trial online it gives you an error message and they charge your account anyway. Audio feature is not real. You will NOT get audio messages to learn how to say and pronounce things! SCAM!!

Und mal wieder eine Betrugsfirma

Und mal wieder eine Betrugsfirma. Bietet eine kostenlose 3 Tage Probezeit an. Diese funktioniert nicht. Und die Stornierung der Probezeit funktioniert auch nicht.
Erst haben sie versucht 120 Pfund von meinem Konto abzubuchen und jetzt versuchen sie jeden Tag 19 Pfund abzubuchen. Aber sie sind gesperrt. Es nervt trotzdem.

Wish I had read reviews beforehand

Wish I had read reviews beforehand. I signed up to the free trial but it said my card details weren’t going through and never got an email saying I had a free trial and then all of a sudden £120 gets taken from my account. Emails just bounce back so they’re not even receiving them. Awful. Such a scam. I’m going to have to take them to court to stop this happening to others - if anyone else has been scammed too I’d recommend going through moneyclaim.gov.uk !!

This company is a scam! I signed up and when I go into the account it gives you section to go to the what’s app. Once you get to the what app it keeps telling me I need to sign up even though I’m signed up! This is a creative scam!!! Don’t waste your money!!!!!!

Scammers!!

Scammers! They have hidden fees and they charge you card without your approval! And when I tried to contact them to cancel they ignored me and charged me and refused to refund me!

Not sure why there is bad reviews about…

Not sure why there is bad reviews about LangBuddy. It’s been a great tool for me so far.
Im using it to practice conversation in Spanish and Polish.
Th best feature is the voice notes, like they sound so real. I’d love to be able to call my LangBuddy but I don’t think you can do this

Stay away!

Stay away. Their customer solutions team barely responds. The last update I received was weeks ago. A lot of empty promises and fake advertising. I would not trust them with the trial because you do not receive a notification before they charge you for the annual membership. The tool you get is nowhere near worth the price. A scam.

False advertising

False advertising, they say free trial but you have to give credit or debit card information, get you to upgrade before you can even try the product. Their description of product say you receive audio texts. You don't receive audio texts. Pointless to use this app since you can't hear how to pronounce the words. Also you have to download the What's App which I didn't even want . Then there's also the sign up process before you even try the app.waste of time don't recommend.

No customer support and lack of features

I bought langbuddy once before and it was a pretty mediocre experience. I always had to initiate the conversations and because of this I kind of just forgot about it. I re-bought it as some of the features that were shown said that it has the capability to do voice notes. This was the ONLY thing that re-peaked my interest in buying it again. Surprise suprise the feature does not exist, the ai doesn't even respond to say that it can't do voice notes when you send one.

I have tried reaching out to customer services but as many other reviews have stated, they don't respond. They are lying to their customers and they don't care. I would have given them at least 3 stars for their somewhat capable language ai but they dont deserve it when their customer service is that bad.

05/09/24 Edit: I'm suddenly now able to get voice notes (but when I ask the ai if it can do voice notes it says it can only do text message)

The voice notes you receive are way too fast an impractical for a learner and there is no way in deciphering what they say by ear if you are not well versed in the language anyway, I had to ask via text what it said and that seemed to work.

Onto my next point about the voice notes: it is unbelievably mediocre at being able to tell what you are saying to it. For example, I said "hi, my name is josh, how are you" (in Norwegian) and it replied with "Oh, that's good! What have you done today?" (In Norwegian). I asked "what did you say?" to clarify what it said in the voice note and it responded with "I'm sorry, but can only provide corrections for the text you input. The text you provided appears to be in Hebrew, and I offer corrections for Norwegian Bokmål." I wrote it in English...

The customer support has not got back to me yet.

Really recommend for Expats

Langbuddy is pretty cool ! I’ve used it before/during my trip in Madrid, Spain.
I’ve been expat a couple of months there and it prepared me for real Spanish conversations. Really recommend!!

False claims + non existent support

I actually like the app, but unfortunately they lie about the features that are included and their support is nonexistent.

I bought the app because i was testing out different AI apps trying to determine which was the best. I like that you can type to it and be responded to instantly, but on their website they claim that the app will also send voice memos so you can “train your ear”. I couldn’t figure that part out and the AI itself said it can’t do that, so i emailed support to ask about it. They just never replied, it’s been almost a month.

I would have been fine if they said they’re still working on it, or any kind of explanation. But to just ignore customers is ridiculous.

Horrendous company, I was initially in contact with them via email and promised a refund of £120. They then said there was an issue with my bank and have not replied to messages for over 3 months. Scam company, avoid!!

No Free Trial, language bot is not accurate

I wanted to learn Wolof because my husband is from Senegal. I know a lot of Wolof and their grammar and responses were incorrect especially the Islamic phrases that praise Allah and they said “Excellent” instead. I tried to cancel and they took $160 out my account which was my rent and are refusing to refund me. Worst purchase worst customer service and I will write a bad review 160 times if I have to cause this is wild to me.

No such thing as a free trial

Signed up for a free trial, didn't think much of the platform so cancelled the same day.

Langbuddy took a £120 payment and are now ignoring my requests for a refund.

Their customer service is terrible.
