I understand that times are hard BUT…

I understand that times are hard and people have to make a living, but this company was a total scam. They wanted to charge me $600 for an eight-foot section of REPLACEMENT Leaf Filter gutter. When I asserted that this was out of line with what the entire leaf filter project of my home had been, comparing the price per square foot and an adjustment for inflation, the manager tried to get me to accept his "discounted price of $500! Going to Home Depot right now to buy a section of gutter, and will live without Leaf Filter.

dont use leaf filter

You cannot get hold of a supervisor or manager when you have a problem You have to go thru their call center. We have had them out 3 times to fix problems and they were supposed to come out on August 7, 2025, but never called and did not show up. I have called at least 6 times. We had new gutters and the leaf filter installed in March 2025 and it looks like it has been up for 10 years. It it rippling and coming apart. PLease never call these people. Dont waste your money. Ours cost us
17, 152.00. The next move I guess will be to take them to court.

Had to cancel large contract but still…

Leaf Filter....Had to cancel large contract but still wanted 2 leaks fix. Ignored all my texts and calls. I tried several times. Had to call other gutter companies. If you have an issue they drop you like a hot potato. It's all about money and they are not the cheapest! Get another company that cares about their customers!

Absolutely the worst in the business

Absolutely the worst in the business, non existent customer service, incompetent leadership! Had leaf filter gutters installed through a Lowe's promotion, sent 2 idiots to do the installation, 1 spoke zero English, the "smart one" spoke something close to English. Asked the smart one if the pitch was right before they left, he babbled something about a metal roof and pitch was fine. It wasnt,gutters filled up with ice as it built up at the opposite end from the downspouts due to wrong pitch and back gutter (52 feet of it) came down with the ice weight and took my soffit and fascia with it. Front gutter broke right over our entry door. Took many pics and videos of the substandard installation, Nick (inspector from leaf filter) finally came out after a couple promised dates (and 2 days of missed work waiting for no shows from a "manager" Jordan ) Nick didn't want a level as he said it was plain to see the pitch was wrong. Now it went to Zach who said their offer was to send out a crew with supervision and replace the gutters! Nope,you had your chance a wrecked my house. Now Zach emailed that it's in some higher ups hands for a decision. I'm done,been dragging on since early April, time for legal action. Want gutters? Hire a local contractor with customer service and satisfaction because you'll find neither with leaf filter

LeafFilter Review

I did a review on LeafFilter about three weeks ago. Where did it go? If I had the option to choose NO STARS I would have done that. I just looked over you hundreds of reviews. How did you possibly give them a 5 star anything. Do you see all of the people they hurt? And I don't know why I can't find my review????

They installed gutters over rotted…

They installed gutters over rotted facia board, the gutters are installed crooked, the gutter sticks out too far from the house, they take every short cut possible and stick it to the customer. Terrible company to do business with, don't do any business with them. They are over priced as well!!

Had gutters installed in June still…

Had gutters installed in June still have a leaky installed gutter on back porch. Gave had 4 different techs come do something never helps. One guy guaranteed to fix?!?! Hadn’t been back! Called leaf filter they said there done.?!!!! Stay away they install get your$$$$ then your on your own!!!

Filter clogged every single time it…

Filter clogged every single time it rained.
Expensive product, but customer service does not reflect the price.
Non-responsive customer service.
Eventually had to remove them.
Overall, very frustrating experience.

Long story short:

Had them installed. Clogged after the first rain. Cleaned the gutters. Happened again. Happened 5 times.

Every time I called customer service I was told I would get a call back in 24-48 hours. Never received a call back.

Escalated the issue to the regional service manager who called me back after 10 days (on vacation and no one else contacted me).

An inspector came to inspect. Did not note any issues.

Had a second inspector show up about a month later. He said they were installed wrong. (I find this hard to believe as they were installed in 4 separate locations, the original installer and the first inspector did not indicate any issues. If they were installed incorrectly, why was this not detected the first two times, and in 4 separate locations?)

Note: The second inspector said they were installed at the wrong angle. This may be possible, but I fail to see how the installation angle was incorrect as there was no other way to install them - they fit flush on the gutter and go up to the shingles. Adjusting the angle would require lowering the gutters. Note: they also state that they “re-align the gutters if necessary”.

The installation itself was poor. There were holes drilled where screws missed. The corners allowed debris to fall into the gutter due to gaps.

Extremely expensive product for what it is. We did just a small area of the roof as a test (glad we did) and that alone was ~$2,400. The entire house was quoted at $10,925, and my outbuilding, another $7,249. They offered a discount if we did it “immediately” and that would have brought it down to $14,539.

The warranty says: “We give you a manufacture’s money-back, no clog, guarantee”. But, when you read the fine print, they are referring to YOUR gutters - NOT their product – “if [the product] allows the interior of your gutter to clog with debris…” My gutters didn't clog, the leaf filter did causing water run off every time. They should be clear and upfront with what is covered and what isn’t.

I have photos and videos of water pouring off the roof, over the filters (in 4 locations). I sent these to Leaf Filter, but the inspector that showed up said it was the first he's heard of it.

This took well over 3 months back and forth. After countless phone calls, inspections, and escalation, they refuse to refund the money unless they can adjust the incorrect installation. I wrote them a detailed letter explaining the issues which was escalated to "corporate". I heard nothing back until I reached back out to the service manager.

They stated that “we need the opportunity to service it before moving any future”. This is not unreasonable in normal circumstances, but the filters failed 5 times (with cleaning in between each rain) and the installer and first inspector did not note any issues. I would also have to wait until next winter to see if they fixed the issue, and if they failed again, I’d likely have to start all over.

Companies with good customer service put customers first, not their product.

These may very well work in some situations, but for our asphalt roof, they were a failure. Do your homework before you consider these - Caveat emptor.

Finally, as there was no resolution, I had to take the guards off to prevent damage to the house due to water running down the facia and soffits. Out $2,400. I'm just glad we didn't do the entire roof.

My LeafFilter gutter guards are clogged…

My LeafFilter gutter guards are clogged with debris, preventing the gutters from doing their job, move water away from the house. I requested someone inspect it and he took pictures and said someone will be in touch. Nothing for two weeks. Finally got someone on the phone and she said my case was closed stating that I have trees around my house so it is normal to have debris blocking my gutters. Why did I buy these if all they are going to do is create more issues?

This is in addition to my last review

This is in addition to my last review. I fixed all the leaks, cleaned up the caulking mess they left on my roof, plus patched my roof from the shingles damaged and cracked left by leaf filter from there installation they did recently. Also the Murfreesboro service manager FINALLY CALLED ME
needs to be fired. What a idiot!!!!! He basically said if I removed the leaf filter panels that it would void my warranty but they would fix the problems they created from the installation but it would be charge service. Also he basically said these problems were already there. My gutters never leaked, there was no caulk mess on my roof and the shingles were not cracked till leaf filter installed there product. The Murfreesboro service was a arrogant and a dick head needs to be Fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also this idiot told me that the sheet metal screws that they stripped out wouldn't ever be a problem with the leaf filter panels from wrapping or blowing off from high winds or storms. He needs to be fired What a lie!!!!!!!!!!!!! Concerned consumer........

I had leaf filter installed a few weeks…

I had leaf filter installed a few weeks ago. I reported a leak problem. Today their service man Jaime came and did a wonderful job. I couldn't have asked for a better more professional job. Jaime is very friendly and very willing to do what was necessary to fix my problem. I highly recommend Jaime.
