I have recently had my eyes tested at Leightons, Cobham for new spectacles and have been overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff, the wide selection of glasses available and the kind and professional way that I have been treated. I have no hesitation in recommending them to my family and friends.

Always knowledgeable, efficient and informative. The staff at the Cobham branch are helpful and happy to answer questions. A good choice of frames for both spectacles and sunglasses.

My visit was great because of the staff, & also glad to receive the ‘My Leighton’ membership discount - softening the blow of The Bill (all my 4 pairs of Specs needed new lenses as my prescription had changed sufficiently significantly). The staff have always been wonderful over the years looking after my eyes (& more recently also my hearing), in particular dear Mr Ardeshi the ophthalmologist who is meticulous in his examinations and highly experienced, & lovely Sally who has a lot of experience with lenses. There is also a wide selection of unusual frames, and although it is not the cheapest of opticians neither is it the most expensive. Highly recommend!

Have been looked after by Leightons for many years and always been really pleased with their care and service. Particularly delighted that I am now back wearing contact lenses thanks to the patience and perseverance of Lucy Wogan who was determined to find the best option for me, thank you!

Excellent hearing test service - very easy to book on line with a helpful reminder issued by text prior to appointment. A lovely shop environment and was seen on time. The audiologist was very friendly and professional - taking time to discuss my hearing concerns and carrying out the tests in a way that meant I understood what was happening and why. Really appreciated the technology - I was able to see the inside of my ear on a big screen and my test results were clearly explained and the graphs displayed. The appointment felt very thorough and was not rushed. It was also brilliant to be emailed the test results for reference. Thanks so much!

Very helpful, discussing all the options. Sally took a lot of time and effort to ensure I was able to get the best glasses and frames. So grateful. I don’t normally do reviews, but felt I wanted to this time to reward good service.

Thorough hearing assessment and results clearly explained .
My new oticon aids are light , discreet and very effective . I can now hear birdsong , my shoes creaking , every word of the kids’ conversations and can direct podcasts directly into my ears . Delighted and thank you Leightons .

The thought of a hearing test was initially daunting, yet John quickly put me at ease. The early part of the test was technical, in as much as my hearing was tested in a hearing booth and a hearing graph subsequently produced. Without expert knowledge, it is difficult to interpret the results & their impact on my everyday life, so John then explained what the graph was telling me. To help me further appreciate what it meant, he showed me a frequency with letters on and explained that a number of letters are in the high frequency range and I would find it difficult to make these out. To help better understand how this impacted my everyday life he played 10 words through a speaker at high volume, then medium and then low, and I had to repeat the words. Once these were completed, he told me my repeat accuracy rate which was poor. It was at this point I became able to fully understand the consequence of losing high frequency sound hearing in both a social & business setting. John then repeated the procedure with hearing aids in and the scores were dramatically improved. The patient & empathetic way John took me through the process, using both technology and examples to help me to understand the issues, enabled me to make my own mind up that using hearing aids would be the right choice. At no point did I feel pressurised to make a purchase and, in fact, I was offered time to go away and think about it - I didn’t, but that was my choice!
I am now three weeks in &, whilst I am still learning to use the technology to my best advantage, I am pleased that I made the decision to have hearing aids - all thanks to John using the extra tools at his disposal to explain how my hearing loss was actually affecting my day to day life.

First time I’d had ear wax removed at Leightons. Carrie was friendly and professional. She did a great job! Would recommend the service.
