Quite new to this idea of loans to people who really want to help themselves. Nothing negative so far, I find this concept of loaning to individuals and hearing their back stories so refreshing. Communication from Lendwithcare has been at the correct level. I would totally rate this organisation as one of the very top poverty battlers in the world today. Keep up the great work.

This is a joke what about the people of this country? Why not lend people from our country instead of helping other country's as always I would love some one to lend me a few grand to open my own business but I have to pass credit checks and all kinds absolute joke this like
Overall, I think this is a fantastic idea. It is a dignified idea. I have got most of the small amount that I put in back, and I try to top it up occasionally. I've been doing microloans for a couple of years now. Because I understand that people can do their best but still fail, I only loan what I can afford to lose... but as I said, most people have managed to pay back, which allows me to loan a bit more.
My only issue with Lendwithcare is all the emails I get asking me to donate... LEND with care is something I support passionately. Give with care is not what this is about, surely? Please quit with the begging emails.

I would love to help those less fortunate in the world and think ‘lend with care’ is such a great idea but… I can’t be part of an organisation where the CEO earns over 120k as an annual salary (2023) Obviously some of that comes from what should go to those I want to help. I wish there were a non- profit organisation with CEO’s taking a good salary but not an unnecessarily high one. Not right in any level…

Fantastic organisation, yes sometimes there are small loses but overall you get most of your money back to reinvest. Ive lent money over 100 times, only had 1 default and lost £45 in currency fluctuations.
I'm in it to help people so it doesn't bother me. I currently have about 65 loans running.
It's a great idea to help people help themselves.

Loved the idea and the two ladies I gave money to grow their businesses, got payments every month from them and when I was told they had repaid their loan, I was delighted and thought to help someone else, I would keep it going but my account balance said currency overseas charges cost me £7.00. I will not be investing again. I only invested £15.00 for each lady. Good wishes to the ladies and I hope their businesses are flourishing. Lend to Care should advertise that money invested is open to currency changes.

A great idea is this lending to others to make a better situation for them. I tell others to do this.It is like a circle you can just keep it going around.

I'm really quite disappointed to read some of the reviews around interest charged on the money I lend in good faith and the choice of lending partners. It's clear from the Lendwithcare responses that they know and accept that whilst I lend my money with no strings, no interest requirements, it's somehow OK for someone else to charge interest on my money. It's not OK and that's definitely not what I signed up for so I think I'm going to make the decision to withdraw my funding and use those funds to support in other ways.

Respuesta de Lendwithcare
You lend money, often as not it comes back and you reinvest it. Sure you don't get any interest: that's the point. But in the meantime your money is making a huge difference on a micro level.
So you put in £200 (or whatever) and in a few years your £200 has become £2000 of help.
Best charity ever.

I received a £15 gift card for Christmas 4years ago, since then I have made 26 loans 12 of which have been repaid and 14 which are still running, i have never had 1 missed payment on any of them

I think its a great idea but Im not comfortable with the apr being charged by the lending partner.Lend with care assured me that nobody is making a profit but some of the partners are charging intrest compatable with unscrupulous payday lenders and while I take their word(lend with care) for it that they dont make a profit i dont really believe that the lending partners dont take a cheeky profit somewhere so when im repaid i will give it to a homeless person instead.

Respuesta de Lendwithcare
I have supported this for a few years but in fairly small amounts that I just reinvest when I receive the pay back. Most loans do not get returned in full however I am told this is due to various factors including the exchange rate. For the last 2 loans that have completed I've had 93.6% and 91.8% of my original loan returned. I do question whether they are verifying the practices on the lenders on the ground however you can also see who this is before making a loan so that's up to you to research if you wish. Overall I am happy with what is being done here and will continue to invest.

I have never had reason to doubt this organisation.
When I eventually pass my son has stated he wants to carry on my account as we both feel it is worthwhile.

Don't believe the negative reviews. This is a great initiative
I've been signed up with Lendwithcare for almost a decade
First, understand how this works. You make an interest free loan to 3rd world small entrepreneurs (many of them women). They use the money to expand their small local business
That money is eventually repaid to your account for you to lend out again - and again - and again
The modest amount of money I've donated has led to loans of almost £7000 over that period and no-one has ever defaulted on the repayments
My Lendwithcare account shows I've supported over 250 entrepreneurs and helped over 1500 people
I don't donate to charities as you've no idea what they spend the money on but I do support Lendwithcare and tell everyone about it.
I'm not giving a hand out I'm giving a hand up
Do the same

Please be very careful when supporting this charity. If you do not access your account in a 12 month period their terms and conditions allow them to take the funding without consent. I lost nearly a thousand pounds. Their email notifications get lost in all the pleading emails from them to support the charity….ironic! 😤
The situation was satisfactorily resolved - thank you

I started off with £30. Got all of that back some months later, reinvested it, got all of that back. It feels great to help people in this way, and you can donate a small amount and continually reinvest and help others (unless you get unlucky with one, I suppose. Hasn't happened to me).
So I'm gradually increasing my overall amount invested as each amount will do good over and over again as I reinvest it.

My wife and I have been supporting LWC for a few years now. We really like the way it helps people improve their lives, not with a hand-out, but by providing the means they need to work and grow their businesses.
I’m saddened to read the negative reviews about not getting money back, as that hasn’t been our experience at all. So far we have had 38 loans completed, and none defaulted. It may be one day we will have a defaulted loan, but that’s a risk we’re happy to take, and so far every loan has been / is being repaid.
It is true that there has been a slight erosion of the initial “investment” over the years, due to currency exchange rate fluctuations, but LWC are very clear and up front about how that works, so I’ve got no problems with that at all.
What I still find amazing is how the effect of the money lent has grown, or “snowballed” as other reviewers have said. By reinvesting each time a loan has been repaid, the amount we’ve been able to loan is now up to around 4x the initial “investment”. How much better than just putting the money in the bank!

Someone said on here that you won't see your money back ,well that's a lie I have had all my money back and then put it back in again ,this is a great way for the likes of me that does not have a lot of money but can still help others

Respuesta de Lendwithcare
Lendwithcare is awesome, I have made loans for 12 years, and have supported them as they have changed the lives of tens of thousands of people. I get a monthly statement and the money is available for withdrawal. The one star review is I assume from a troll, who is not a member of the community, and does not understand the operational model or the ethos. Lendwithcare is a brilliant concept.

Respuesta de Lendwithcare
As if you will EVER see that money again 😂 If you agree to this, you obviously have more money than sense 😄🤦🏻♂️
