Extremely unreliable dealer. I paid a deposit on a car after clearly stating I would be coming to collect it in two days. Despite this, I received a refund shortly after and was informed the car had been sold to someone else without any prior notice or a courtesy call.

It seems a deposit no longer means the car is reserved. Very disappointing experience.

We wanted to purchase a vehicle the salesmen was extremely arrogant despite this we wanted the car and decided to go ahead with the purchase - the salesman intentionally delayed the purchase of the vehicle seems like he wanted to get the sale on following months sales targets or something causing us a great deal of inconvenience. Everytime we called the dealership they would put us on a long hold and not answer - when called with a different number they would immediately answer but once they realise its us they would instantly put us on hold again. We do not want to go ahead with the vehicle any more based on the service we received. However they are now holding on to the deposit claiming this is non refundable however when we put the deposit down this was always refundable and subject to us completing on the purchase of the vehicle. We need some one in management to contact us to resolve this immediately or we will be making an official complaint to financial conduct authority and trading standards. I would advise anybody thinking of purchasing from this company regardless of how good the deal is to steer far away.

We have just part exchanged our car and bought a new used car on finance with Lennox Auto. Our experience couldn’t have been smoother. I recently purchased a Toyota from Lennox Auto , and i couldn’t be happier, the vehicle was in excellent condition and offered at a great price, the entire process was smooth and professional, also the customer service was top of the line, highly recommended

We were very interested in a 2014 Grey Citroen C4 Grand Picasso with 46,732 miles on it for £7,999. Seemed a good deal so put a £99 Auto Trader deposit down. We took out the Auto Trader check and it came back with "this car has outstanding finance on it", so I rang the bank that was on the check and they confirmed this. We rang the garage, who said this was in the process of being sorted out as they are regulated and cannot sell cars with outstanding finance, and that it would be clear by the end of the week. So, we called back later in the week to be told that it was now clear. However, when I phoned the bank to check, they said that they still had an interest in the vehicle. This went on for a couple of weeks, calling both the bank and garage and nothing had changed. Aaron, who we'd spoken to, then said he'd contact their finacial dept for info and ring us back, but he never did, so we withdrew our deposit. Shame really, as we really liked the car, but I wouldn't deal with these again after this experience. As of now, this car is still showing as available on various platforms and the finance is still outstanding and the bank still has an interest in the car. Avoid.

These guys just want sales. I completed a part exchange with these guys over a month ago and they did not pay me settlement figure. I now have two car payments coming out my account and one car as they sold my other one. I now cannot afford to pay any of my other bills and incurred additional late payment fees with other bills. Avoid them !

I gave them £2000 deposits and at £200 admin fee! For what!

Do NOT trust these sellers—under any circumstances. I bought a £39k car, and from the moment I saw it, my only concern was the tyres. I paid a deposit for a non-stock vehicle, and when it finally arrived, I had only five minutes to inspect it while it was being washed. Then, the Director of the company demanded the full deposit upfront, promising that he’d personally inspect the tyres. The car, which was 15/16 months old, arrived, and I was assured countless times that the tyres would be checked. Three weeks later, I took it to a Mercedes dealer and discovered a ton of recalls and updates the company had never disclosed—yet they still failed to check the tyres. The dealer recommended replacing the tyres immediately. Thanks to their incompetence, I’m now stuck with an extra £1,200 bill for new tyres and brake discs.

On top of this, I had to pay for and post the new V5C logbook myself—something they should have taken care of. This is beyond unacceptable! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Their promises mean nothing, their customer care is non-existent, and they have zero regard for their clients. Avoid them at all costs!

Our experience with Lennox Autos has been utterly appalling, and we feel compelled to warn others. We purchased a £29.5k, 3-year-old hybrid vehicle from them, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare from start to finish.

We live 500+ miles away in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and made arrangements to collect the car on Friday, 28th February. Lennox Autos knew we were traveling a long distance, and we provided them with our exact arrival time and tight schedule. Despite this, the car was not ready as promised. It was covered in scratches, uncleaned, and uncharged. The wing mirror was also broken. We had to ask them ourselves to polish out the scratches.

We noticed the alloys were heavily kerbed and corroded, which was not shown in the photos or videos we received, nor was it highlighted to us. When we raised this issue, they agreed to deduct £200 from the deposit so we could have them refurbished locally once we returned home. However, when it came time to pay the deposit, they suddenly pointed to a piece of A4 paper taped to the wall that said “£200 admin fee”—something that was never mentioned in any contract or documentation.

Mehdi, the so-called “director,” insisted this was their policy, yet we couldn’t find any evidence of it. When challenged on where it was written, their response was simply: “It’s just our policy.” This was clearly a dishonest tactic to recoup their £200 loss on the alloy issue.

Once we got home, we searched their website for this supposed “£200 admin fee”, and it is not disclosed in any car advert or in their terms and conditions available on the website.

After over an hour of arguing with Mehdi, we reluctantly agreed to a £100 discount just to put the ordeal behind us and start our long journey home. Once we arrived home, we attempted to charge the hybrid vehicle, but it wouldn’t charge. A warning message appeared: “Charging failed, contact service.” After inspecting the vehicle, we confirmed that the charging cable was broken and the charging port was faulty—which explained why the car hadn’t been charged before collection, an issue they must have known about but failed to disclose.

We immediately contacted Mehdi, who promised to send us the necessary parts by Monday so we could fix the broken wing mirror and charging port ourselves. But Monday came and went with no response.

By Tuesday morning (March 4th), after multiple calls, Mehdi finally sent the money for the charging port and wing mirror and we ordered the parts ourselves. However, when we followed up about the charging cable, Mehdi refused to send it, claiming we hadn’t paid the full “admin fee.”

This was completely unacceptable. He was holding a vital component of our hybrid vehicle hostage over an arbitrary fee! He admitted he was just going to swap the cable from another car in stock, but suddenly went back on his word without justification.

Throughout this ordeal, Mehdi has been deceitful, rude and unapologetic. He knowingly sold us a vehicle with damaged alloys, a broken wing mirror and a charging fault and then refused to take responsibility. The fact that the car wasn’t charged at collection due to a broken charging system should have been disclosed, yet it wasn’t—another sign of their dishonesty.

Lennox Autos is dishonest, untrustworthy and completely unprofessional. We regret ever dealing with them and strongly advise others to stay far away.

If you’re considering buying from this garage, don’t. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.
