Good communication with the guys from level lawns. Job carried out at a good price with Steve and Dave doing a professional job. Patios and paths were all covered and fully cleaned even though in was raining the whole time they were here. Can't ask for much more!

Was initially really pleased with Level Lawns but they started our garden in Feb 24 and it's now nearly June and it's still not finished. Bad weather meant they couldn't carry out work for a few weeks which was understandable, but then they never came back. My husband has sent messages and called numerous times (most were unanswered) trying to get them to return. After they didn't turn up for the fourth time 2 weeks ago, we have now given up.

We had paid half the total cost for materials etc.

Had a lawn laid by the level lawns team, was friendly, professional and done exactly what we asked for. Highly recommend.

Having had one £750 very bad experience with The Turf Laying Experts, we paid twice as much and were promised a quality turf and nice flat lawn by Level Lawns and Landscaping - seemed a decent bunch of guys.

We were recommended a County Turf, but when delivering the turf it was not looking good so they said we probably wouldn't want them to lay it. They did show an invoice from Crowley Turf for the 40+ sq.m. of County Turf. Agreed to take it away and come back with Paynes Turf.

Came back and did a great job of preparation, soil was taken to a fine tilth (unlike the last lot) and when the turf went down it looked great.

Didn't last. Soon had lots of brown patches in it.

Were promised some seed mix to repair the patches would be delivered, and then we requested a turf or two, and had promises by text on consecutive days they would come the next day, then on the next day "when they have finished that day's job", then "when they have some left". But then never contacted us again.

Was it the dog causing the brown patches? So sought advice. They thought leatherjackets. Turned out it was as when we lifted the patches to replace them there was no root on most of them - it was leatherjacket damage - lots of it - and some leatherjackets and chrysalis in some turf and daddy long legs hatching out.

Started getting more turfs from Downs Turf - who are the local outlet for Paynes Turf. They told us Level Lawns and Landscaping hadn't bought any Paynes turf from them for a couple of months and only 29 sq.m - so what had they laid?

As more time went on we stated getting meadow turf - lighter colour, thicker blades and quick to go to seed coming up - all over the place - some starting to have horizontal runners. SO that all had to be replaced too.

In the end we got through 12 or 13 turfs replacing leatherjacket damage and meadow turf and its roots, lots of work over several days - replacing over 25% of the expensive lawn. Kept going while weather dry enough but had to stop in the end. Unfortunately the meadow turf hasn't stopped and we now have 20+ of them and still increasing.

When the lawn treatment guy came to do the late autumn feed he looked at the lawn and said "that's 95% meadow turf"

Not what we paid £1400 for. The whole lot needs to come out and be replaced once the weather improves this year. Going to source the turf ourselves so we are sure what we're getting and will do far more analysis of companies who can lay it

We were so pleased with how Level Lawns and Landscaping laid out new front lawn that we decided to get them to lay a new back lawn. Our back garden is a very unusual shape also was very eneven, they have done a brilliant job of making it as even as possible. Would thoroughly recommend them they were very professional polite and kept us updated at all times

My lawn had been a problem for many years. My family arranged a new lawn for my 70th birthday. I am extremely pleased with the result. I had asked to add a small amount of work to the planned project, this was done very reasonably priced and still within one day.
The three guys were professional, courteous and tidy. The result a lawn I'm proud of. What else would you want? Thank you .

We made an appointment for an afternoon to to call and give an estimate to re-lay own lawn. By 4.20 pm they hadn’t arrived so I texted them to see if they could give me an idea when they would be here. No reply. They sent a text the following morning apologising for missing the appointment because they had to stay late on another job as a digger was late arriving. We made another appointment for the following Monday afternoon but again they didn’t turn up . This time there was no apology, no text message, no communication of any kind. I completely understand that sometimes jobs over-run and other appointments have to be cancelled. I have no problem with that. What I find inexcusable is that they can’t be bothered to send a short text message to keep the customer informed. So I wasted two afternoons hanging around for nothing. A totally unreliable company

The Level lawns team transformed my garden in 4 days. From the very start the communication was great. The team arrived when they said they would and worked hard throughout the day. Before the work had started they gave a great choice of artificial grass and offered practical advice and solutions. The price in my opinion was very fair as well. Overall I would definitely recommend Level Lawns.

My Dad's garden was unusable due to years of neglect, called in level lawns, they had great communication. They were efficient and fairly priced.

I would highly recommend Level Lawns. Excellent service from first point of contact right through to the finished job. I had many questions and all were dealt with very politely and with a great deal of patience. An absolute pleasure to deal with and an excellent end result, I could not be happier. I was also very impressed with the attention to detail with cleaning up after they'd finished. My garden looks incredible!
