We do this by raising awareness and encouraging open conversations about mental well-being. At Like Charlie, we create clothing that features bold illustrations, stories, and inspiring quotes about mental health — all presented in a fun, positive, and light-hearted way. We also donate 5% of our profits to MIND Us, a Dutch foundation committed to improving the mental health of young people. It’s clear that this topic deserves more attention. More and more people are struggling with their mental health, and in the Netherlands alone, one in seven young people experience symptoms of depression. Founder Jurren: "I personally struggled with my mental health for years and wasn’t able to talk about it during that time. Fortunately, I later learned that openness leads to improvement. That journey became the foundation of my deep motivation to start Like Charlie." Charlie is the character at the heart of our brand. Charlie is intentionally unisex — a name and a figure that everyone can relate to. With a bold hairstyle and eye-catching outfit, Charlie stands out. Just like you do. Goed initiatief
De winkel zag er aantrekkelijk uit en trok de aandacht van mij en mijn vriendin. Bij binnenkomst kregen we een uitleg over wat like charlie inhoud en stond de eigenaar open voor een gesprek over zijn bedrijfje en was erg gastvrij. Ik heb hier uiteindelijk een shirtje gekocht met een waardevolle boodschap en van goede kwaliteit.

Jurren and Tom are very friendly and helpful. This is my second purchase with Like Charlie (LC). My first purchase was last year. A tshirt as a gift to my brother. My brother loves the tshirt so much. It is made of organic cotton, hence it is soft and breathable:)
I purchased 4 products from them this trip. I do not make impulse purchases. I’m returning for CL because I believe it’s necessary to care about people who suffering for mental illnesses. With a lil contribution, we can change their world :)

Leuk merk met een duidelijke missie💪🏼
Met toeval kwamen we in het winkeltje in Utrecht terecht.
Helaas hebben wij ook ervaring met het taboe rondom mentale gezondheid en vinden de missie van like Charlie dan ook top💪🏼
Mijn man was ook enthousiast en heeft dan ook een tof shirt gekocht.

Break the stigma’s
Super leuk zaakje in Utrecht. Fijne service, met een mooie uitleg van het concept. Het is zo ontzettend belangrijk om de taboes te doorbreken en dit merk werkt daaraan doormiddel van het creëren van mooie producten. Dank voor de mooie tshirts, morgen ga ik 1tje cadeau geven aan mijn zus.
