Overpromised, Underdelivered, No Follow-Through

I signed up with List-AI after a very detailed conversation with the Alin, where I was assured their AI caller would integrate seamlessly with my CRM, Lofty.

That did not happen.

Over more than six months, I gave them every opportunity to fix ongoing issues. There were constant delays, repeated promises, and missed deadlines. I was patient and accommodating, even as timelines kept getting pushed. In the end, they simply could not deliver what was originally promised.

The product itself was not ready. The AI caller could not even pronounce “Etobicoke” correctly. On the few calls that did go through, it struggled to understand basic responses and came across as abrupt and unnatural. These calls were not just ineffective. They reflected poorly on my brand.

After all of this, I was promised a full refund. That refund was never processed.

Communication was also a major issue. Meetings were frequently cancelled, often due to repeated “family emergencies,” and follow-through was consistently lacking. It felt unreliable and unprofessional throughout.

This experience cost me a significant amount of money, and more importantly, time and trust.

I would not recommend List-AI. They overpromise, underdeliver, and fail to follow through.

Buyer beware.

They will take your money

I engaged with Vapi.ai for their voice AI services, investing over $1,000 based on their advertised capabilities. Unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations, and I was promised a refund due to the poor performance. Despite this assurance, weeks have passed without any reimbursement.

Attempts to contact their support team have been futile. They have gone either unanswered or with false promises, and there's no alternative contact method provided. This lack of communication is unacceptable, especially when dealing with significant financial transactions.

It's also concerning that there might be a third party (to be named) involved in their operations, adding another layer of complexity to the situation. Transparency is crucial, and customers deserve to know who they're dealing with.

I urge others to exercise caution when considering Vapi.ai. My experience has been disappointing, and I hope this review prompts the company to address these issues promptly.

I've been working with List AI for over a year now, using it for everything from marketing automation to AI-powered lead calls. It's been a great experience overall — the platform is powerful, reliable, and has definitely helped streamline my workflow.

Great

I’ve never been particularly tech-savvy, but both the CEO and co-founder, along with their team, have been extremely helpful in guiding me through the process. Like any business relationship, there have been a few minor hiccups, but they were quickly addressed and resolved.

One of the key promises was AI calling and texting, with a strong emphasis on the AI caller. After signing and making my payment, it took about a week to get everything set up, and we went live within seven business days. Initially, the results were good but started off slow. I consulted with Alin, who advised me to increase my ad budget after a few weeks.

Since then, I’ve spent a total of $14,000 on ads and have seen a 6x return. My appointment conversion rate is around 28%, meaning from about 120 leads per month, I’m booking 34 appointments. I’ve also built a strong pipeline of potential clients who just need follow-ups.

Additionally, I attended their exclusive 8-week mastermind sales workshop for a small fee, which significantly improved my sales skills and helped me maximize my results. The extra training made a real difference in how I approach and close deals.

Overall, my experience has been great. While there were a few small challenges along the way, they were always resolved quickly. I trusted the advice of both David and Alin, remained patient, and the results have been well worth it. I’ve been burned by marketing companies in the past, but LIST-A has proven to be the right fit for me. Looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in the future—thanks, Alin & David!

Pire service que je connaisse

Pire service que je connaisse. AUCUN résultats et AUCUN suivi client. Déjà j'aurais du m'en douter lors de la première entrevue car il "bouffait" son lunch pendant l'appel vidéo , très professionnel. À plusieurs reprise j'ai demandé un compte rendu et il fallait sans arrêts que je les relance mais sans réponses ( je n'en ai toujours pas d'ailleurs au moment d'écrire cet avis). À part encaisser l'argent ils ne font absolument rien d'autre. Tenez-vous très loin de ce service !!!

Alin is nice, but takes your money and doesn't deliver

Alin is nice and seems to be genuinely wanting to deliver on their claims, but the reality for me was they delivered nothing of value. I paid them $1,000, expecting the AI-powered appointment-setting service they heavily promote on their website, but received nothing of value and wasted a lot of my time. I have made repeated requests for a refund which have been responded to with unfulfilled promises, deflection, blame and excuses.

Here's a breakdown of what they claim versus what they delivered:
All-in-One AI Setter: According to their website, List-AI offers an "All-in-One AI Setter" capable of handling outbound sales, lead generation, appointment setting, follow-ups, and more. Alin claimed on our first call that they had an over 4% appointment setting rate. According to their system, they have made approximately 200 dials from 11/16/24 to the date of this review 1/5/25, and charged me $1000. Their site claims, “Capable of 1M+ concurrent calls”. Alin keeps telling me that they have made more calls but has never sent said proof and none of the systems they provided indicate this at all….

Remember claim of over 4%: -From, the supposed 200 dials, I received two bogus “leads” which Alin agreed that these were bogus—one lead wasn’t on the property title and never had been, and the other claimed they were never contacted. Their claim of "Full Appointment Setting" and "Pre-vetting" is laughable. Their "bot" qualified leads based on nonsensical interactions. For example, (this is from the “notes” of a supposed call) the bot asked, "Is this Peter?" and the response was, "No, this is Daisy," which somehow counted as a qualified lead. It did get it right on one….- Question: "You still considering selling it, or has it been taken off your list?" Answer: "It is not my house. I sold it probably 25 years ago."

People needed to run the AI, Really?: They promote features like "Lightning-Fast Response Times" and "24/7/365 Availability," yet they shut down operations for a week to attend a convention and the whole company goes on holiday without notifying their customers. If this is an AI bot, why do people have to be there for it to make calls? My email/sms drip campaigns work on autopilot. Isn’t his the whole function of a service like this?

Wasted Time: I had multiple calls with Alin, discussing their internal company issues and hearing excuses about why they couldn’t deliver and supposedly helping train my bot, which it doesn’t seem they used. Instead of addressing my concerns, he deflected and wasted my time with irrelevant conversations about their team’s struggles and gave me a bunch of assurances on what they were going to do and never did

Repeated Refund Requests: Despite requesting my money back multiple times, I’ve been ignored. I was also charged AFTER requesting my money back the first time. They offered vague "credits" and "additional appointments," which they never put in writing and failed to deliver.

Poor Customer Service: Their customer service is disorganized and full of excuses. For a company that promises "Increased Productivity" and "Lightning-Fast Response Times," they were anything but. They constantly closed down without communicating, leaving me in the dark.

Unclear Business Location: It’s concerning that their company’s location is unclear, adding to the sketchiness of the operation.They may be in Quebec or London or possibly Florida. Site says Quebec, Billing is out of London, and their terms of service claim to be governed by the State of Florida.

Despite their claims, they failed to deliver anything they promised. I spent $1,000, wasted my time, and received nothing but frustration. If List-AI truly wants to deliver on their ambitious promises, they need to start by fulfilling their basic commitments to customers. Until then, I strongly advise avoiding this company at all costs.

Promising Start, Disappointing Finish

I hired List AI in the late spring of this year (2024) and signed a $6000 six-month contract with a guarantee of five deals or a refund.

At first, my experience with List AI was very positive. They ran ads for me, provided a lot of leads, and followed up with notes from their calls. They covered my ad spend for the first month, and although the contract required me to spend a minimum of $20/day on ads for the five-deal guarantee, they never once requested payment for the ad spend, and continued to run ads for me. Of course, I had no complaints.

I developed a personal rapport with one of the co-founders, and we even stayed in the same Airbnb during a trip to Toronto with the other co-founder and a member from their team when they visited Canada.
However, towards the end of summer, I noticed the leads stopped coming in. The co-founder I was in contact with became slower to respond and explained he was busy working on an AI tool (the AI caller) for lead generation. I was understanding and didn’t question it at the time. However, their marketing efforts completely stopped completely before our six-month contract ended.

During our trip to Toronto, everything seemed fine. I assumed our campaigns were on pause due to their work on the AI calling tool, but I later realized this was not the case. After the contract ended, I reached out to discuss either a refund or an extension with changes to the work being done (as there was no work being done)... While the contract terms for the guarantee weren’t met due to my lack of ad spend, I also know they didn’t spend even close to $6,000 on ads, which was what I paid for the six-month service.

Unfortunately, my attempts to resolve this through Zoom calls were repeatedly canceled or ignored, often with excuses about illness, double-booking, or family issues. The lack of communication became evident when I noticed the co-founder had unfollowed me on Instagram. While this might seem minor, it indicated to me that they were intentionally avoiding the conversation, and the relationship dynamic had changed in a way I was unaware of.

I believe the cause of this change to be personal as the co-founder asked me to delete a photo we had taken together in Toronto because their new girlfriend felt we appeared too close. I complied without hesitation, as I respect others’ boundaries. However, I would have expected our professional relationship to continue respectfully, even if the personal dynamic changed.

The repeated last-minute cancellations, missed calls, and avoidance of communication were unprofessional and disheartening. Although I did not secure any deals directly from the leads provided by List AI, I remain in contact with some of them and expect at least one transaction in the future. I was open to working on a plan to continue with them, as their lead generation and follow-up processes were effective in the beginning.

I truly regret how this relationship ended, both professionally and personally. I hope this review helps others determine whether List AI is the right fit for them. I would not work with them again, given the lack of respect and professionalism I experienced toward the end.

To the founders of List AI, I urge you to treat your clients with greater care and professionalism in the future.

You embarked on a rev-share program that involved us setting up the systems and marketing for you with a marketing fee every time you closed a deal. We took care of generating the leads, calling them and setting appointments up for you. Some of these appointments you refused to go to or even refer out. We promised the appointments, you didn't take them. Unfortunately we can't do anything about that. Also, clearly stated on the contract that you signed and returned to us, there was no refund as we were sharing the risk of getting paid when you closed a deal from us. We trusted you and you didn't deliver amidst the appointments received. Scamming involves someone taking ones money and running without any delivery of intended results. Once again thank you for your review.
