The place was exactly as advertised. It found a nice little apartment in the heart of San Francisco. The platform is really user friendly and I like that they kind of supervise your interactions with the landlord. I think that gives a layer of protection against any funny business like if you did a deposit or something like that.

Hackney Wick Spaces (facebook group) mods (who are Ohana employees) directed me to register to get the ad live, even though the room advertised was NOT a sublet. Clearly, this is just to get their numbers up, and they are so far refusing to delete the ad and the account from their website, very very dodgy.

I found an awesome place for three months and the host was so lovely. She was easy to work with and accommodating. The place was as described and I really enjoyed staying there.

They've taken control of a well-known Facebook group in London and are now requiring all users - most of which are not sublets - to sign up to their platform just to get posts approved in the group. Feels like an attempt to artificially inflate their user base. Considering these tactics if I were a prospective user, I’d be skeptical of the positive reviews. And if I were an investor, I’d seriously question the validity of their user metrics...

I had such a great experience working with Ohana. Theresa and Ezra were both so great and made my subleasing experience better than I could have imagined. I was so nervous to move to a new city and they helped walk me through every step of the process. I was matched into a great apartment and had the best experience. I can't image what I would have done without Ohana!

Great experience for subleasing in NYC!!! I was able to live in NYC without going broke. The team was super responsive, the roommates were a great match. Ohana totally took the stress out of finding a place and made the whole experience way more fun and supportive. Totally recommend it if you’re starting out in the city!

If you’re moving to NYC and need a sublet, Ohana is seriously the way to go. They have the best options on the market - I looked everywhere and nothing compared. The listings are real, the hosts are normal, and the whole process actually feels safe (which is rare here). The Ohana team was super helpful too - they answered my questions, helped set up calls, and made the whole thing stress-free. Couldn’t recommend them more.

Had a great experience with Ohana. Found an apartment I was interested & immediately was set up on a call with the founder of Ohana and the owner of the apartment so it felt legitimate. Signing the contract & making the payment all felt secure. Arrived to the apartment and was let in with no issues. Had a wonderful month long stay. Apartment owner was communicative throughout my stay if I had questions. No issues checking out & I received my security deposit back with no issues as well. Would sublet through this company again.

After trial and MUCH error with random subletting platforms, I am so relieved to have found Ohana. All parties involved made me feel comfortable and prepared to sublet a place for my internship earlier this summer. I was especially glad I had the opportunity to meet the host and get a feel for the space before move-in even happened, as I was definitely nervous about being scammed or blindsided. I don't often write reviews, but the safety, security, and friendly nature of this platform should be made known to as many people as possible.
