My experience with this company echoes the other reviewers. The same named person committed the exact same thing of trying to charge exorbitantly high prices, made me sign an invoice after convincing me that the "highest security lock" was what I had and what it would cost to replace that I could "claim from insurance"(I could not, btw). I got suspicious and rang another locksmith for a second opinion while he was there, while he insisted that he did not want to leave because he allegedly could not leave the door without a lock. Thankfully the second opinion was an actual MLA approved locksmith who confirmed that he was scamming me. He only left after I agreed to pay the horrifically elevated charge of callout fee and "labour charge for drilling through my lock". FYI, I had a key stuck, and he did not even attempt to try to pull it out before he straightaway said that it needed to be drilled through and the entire lock replaced.

The second MLA locksmith came to replace my lock at a more reasonable, industry-appropriate price. It transpired that the perpetrator had also rang him up to hurl verbal abuse at him after the fact.

Absolutely scummy and unprofessional. Incidentally, this company does not exist on googlemaps, so there are zero google reviews about them. The registered company name I had to make for the bank transfer is also entirely different from this name they used to advertise on their website. I contacted citizens advice, got a template to send a strongly worded letter to their email on their website - lo and behold, the email failed to deliver, so it likely also does not exist.

SCAM! Says £39 on website and charged me £228 instead in person.
Said I could get it back on insurance and lied, I couldn’t get it back.

Charged me 350 GBP to change a lock - did not put VAT on the invoice. Delayed invoice. When asked for further information from my landlord, refused to respond to their email. Insanely rude and extortionate pricing for something that was done in the middle of the business day.

Real Scammer. Called for a small job and charged £600.
The technician said the price included VAT, but when I asked for the invoice, it did not include VAT.

Do not trust Filip Nakov or any company he is associated with. Cost mounted up to over £1000 for a simple job. Forces you to do a cash transfer. Preys on the vulnerable. It's sickening this is still allowed to happen in this day and age.

Betterlocksmith LTD - Scammer

We recently had to call a locksmith, as our key broke in the lock, and we unfortunately just googled, and met with betterlocksmith LTD, or Filip Nakov.

We were given a call out quote, and a fee, but we were never given the total price. When the work was done we were charged £750 - I asked for an invoice, but he refused to provide one until he had been paid. He also would not leave our house, until he was paid.

Do not use this man, he is a scam artist.
