A supportive and enriching experience!

A supportive and enriching experience!

I’ve just completed my Level 2 counselling course online with the London School of Counselling (LSC), and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The course was thoughtfully structured, accessible, and allowed me to truly grow—both personally and professionally. They also offer in-person learning for those who prefer that option.

A special thank you to my tutor, Val, whose calm, compassionate presence and wealth of knowledge made all the difference. She created a safe, inclusive space where we could all be heard and supported. Her feedback was always constructive, respectful, and rooted in ethical practice. Val truly models what it means to be a person-centred practitioner.

If you’re looking to train in counselling in a genuinely supportive environment, I wholeheartedly recommend LSC—and if you have Val as your tutor, consider yourself very lucky!

A Supportive Space to Grow

I’ve completed both my Level 2 and Level 3 in Counselling with the London School of Counselling, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to learn and grow in. It’s such a nurturing and supportive place—you're never made to feel like just another student. The tutors really care and create a space where you can explore, question, and develop not only your counselling skills but also your own self-awareness.

Looking back, I can see just how much I’ve grown personally and professionally since starting with them. The learning felt real, relevant, and human—which is exactly what you want when you’re training to work with people.
I’m genuinely grateful to have been part of such a meaningful learning journey here.

Unprofessional behavior.

My 6 months experience with this school left me with a distinct bitter taste. I found Siobhan B the tutor to be emotionally immature, inexperienced & lacking people skills. Her failure to recognise a self actualised confident & capable person proves the point that one can be academically proficient, but truly suck & fail miserably at recognising a mature student who has already been on a huge self awareness transformation of cognitive realignment & personal growth.
To be told I wouldn’t be recommended for progression onto level 4 without any justification or reason is not only unprofessional, but casts huge doubt whether a tutor & Vic the school director should be in a position to wield such power, especially as they exude incompetence & immaturity.
By the very nature of the counselling role, rarely do counsellors meet a person who has unsubscribed from lifetime issues & is fixed. Therefore they become blinded when they do & it throws them into a swirling vortex of confusion, leaving them paralysed not knowing what to do with such a student. And without the maturity or experience which these two characters are lacking, they wrongly judged & formed opinions that were way off base. My theory about Siobhan B is that she displayed signs of ADHD & suffered from the subconscious projection trap, she saw something in me that she wanted to be but couldn't access within herself, I'd say that was confidence & ability to be comfortable in herself. Qualities that a counsellor should possess, sadly in her case, these were not present in my opinion. This is a clear case for a lengthy journey of personal growth & self awareness on behalf of that tutor.
Due to the unprofessional behaviour & decision taken by this tutor affecting my progression, I would not recommend this counselling school based on my 6 months observation & interaction with these two substandard incompetent not fit for tutoring purpose pathetic jokers. A formal complaint was sent to the BACP about these Two individuals.
