Misleading pricing, no invoice issued, company unreachable after payment
I contacted Loodgieterstad via WhatsApp (+31 6 26144204) to inspect a kitchen sink in Leiderdorp.
Before booking, they confirmed only two fixed costs:
- €39 call-out fee
- €119 diagnosis + initial service fee.
They explicitly stated in writing: "You will never face any unexpected charges."
On arrival, the technician presented a full cost breakdown including a per-meter pipe cleaning charge (€36 excl. BTW per meter) — which had not been mentioned at any point before the visit. The sink was not blocked; there was only minor grease residue. The work lasted approximately 30 minutes. The total charged was €638.17.
After payment, I requested an invoice. The company has not responded to any follow-up contact and is completely unreachable by phone. No invoice has been issued to date, despite this being a legal obligation in the Netherlands.
I have filed a refund request with my bank and reported the company to the relevant consumer protection authorities.
The per-meter billing model on a non-blocked drain, combined with the failure to mention it upfront and the refusal to issue an invoice, does not reflect the transparent pricing promised before booking.
