0 Stars – Absolutely Unacceptable Customer Service

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. This has been one of the most frustrating and unnecessarily complicated customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. After receiving the product, I returned it as instructed and expected a normal refund process like any reputable company would provide. Instead, I have been stuck in an endless back-and-forth with their support team, who seem either unwilling or unable to process a simple refund. First, they insisted on a SWIFT code, even after I clearly explained that my bank does not have one. Rather than using basic problem-solving or offering a normal alternative, they continued repeating the same request. Then, instead of refunding the payment back to the original payment method (which is standard practice almost everywhere), they started asking for additional payment details and pushing the responsibility back onto me.
I even provided a PayPal account to make things easier for them, yet I’m still receiving vague responses like “we have shared the information with the relevant department” and “we will notify you when there are updates.” Meanwhile, the product has already been returned and they are still holding onto my money. At this point it feels less like customer service and more like intentional stalling to avoid issuing a refund. A legitimate company should not need multiple departments, repeated emails, and weeks of delays to complete a basic refund transaction. The entire process has been slow, confusing, and extremely unprofessional. Customers should not have to chase down their own refund after fulfilling every requirement. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing from this company think twice. If something goes wrong and you need a refund, be prepared for a drawn-out process full of excuses and delays. Terrible experience. I will not be purchasing from them again.

DON'T BUY, MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

I have ordered this in December, only after purchase I received an email informing me that the item was out of stock and it would take 4 to 6 weeks instead of the 1 to 2 advertised on the site. I cancel the order and I re ordered it on the 13th of January with an expected delivery time of 1 to 2 weeks. After 10 days from the purchase with 0 communications from them I asked for an update to be told to expect delivery 1 to 2 weeks from their email reply. I then proceeded to cancel the order again. Terribly misleading and giving different info each time. Don't buy from these people

Excellent Camera

I’ve used my Looki consistently for the last two weeks. It has recorded my entire European trip from start to finish. Every morning I wake up to a highlight of what I did the day prior, a cute comic strip every 1-2 days, and a diary with still images captured from your video and the story is mostly accurate. I’m extremely impressed by this little gadget. The quality isn’t superior, but I will trade quality for a polished video the next day. I procrastinate and sit on a lot of recorded videos and never go back to edit them. This is a great camera to have if you’re short on time or hate editing.

The other reviewers complained of the magnet. I’ve not had any issues with it, but the camera can easily be pulled from
The lanyard. There is a clip you can purchase, which I recommend doing and can probably prevent the issue of a lost camera.

P.S. The comic strip is my favorite part of having my Looki. I was really impressed that it captured the bells ringing from a chapel and showed it on the comic strip that the bells were ringing!

Attached magnetic 🧲 is not full proof


Subject: Feedback on Looki L1 - Concerns with Retention & Placement (Safety & Functionality Issues)

I’m writing to share my experience with the Looki L1, which I received just a few days ago. First, I want to say I’m really excited about the product’s concept and what it promises to do for daily memory capture.

However, I’ve had two worrying incidents on the first day of use that highlight significant issues:

• I accidentally dropped it without realising, and it was later found in my dog’s mouth – this could have been seriously dangerous if I’d noticed too late.

• When driving with it attached to my chest, the seat belt either blocked the camera lens (making footage useless) or caused the device to slip off entirely, resulting in another drop onto the van floor.

I love the idea of the magnetic clip for convenience, but I need to be clear: this is not a safe or reliable method of attachment for active use or when wearing a seat belt. I’m concerned about using it regularly without worrying about it falling off – and while the item cost would be a reasonable amount to lose and replace if it gets lost or chewed up by the dog, I’d rather not be in that position so soon after buying it.

I know that bad reviews don’t serve either of us well, so I’m reaching out in the hope of finding a proper resolution to these issues with my purchase. Would it be possible to discuss options for a more secure attachment method, or get advice on the best way to position it so the seat belt doesn’t interfere and it stays safely in place? I really want to make this work as I believe in what the product can do.

Maybe it could come with a tab on the back to add your mobile if lost. These days things can be traced with the new teq hitting the market.

BUYER BEWARE!! I bought a device and it fell off its…

I bought a device and it fell off its cord and I lost it immediately. I wish I came to the reviews here first. I left a review elsewhere and Looki reached out on that review asking me to contact them so I did. They then said they’d see if they could get me a replacement device. I never expected that. They let me wonder a few days and then said NOPE! BUT… we will POSSIBLY give you a discount. But only after you buy it. Ha!! You got me once Looki, you won’t get me again.

Misleading Advertising, Poor Communication, and Non-Functional Product

I ordered a Looki AI camera on August 19, believing it would ship within the advertised 3–5 days. Only after purchasing did I learn it was a pre-order, which was never stated on the website. Since then, communication from the company has been inconsistent and misleading — I was given multiple, conflicting shipping dates by both email and Instagram support.

After repeated delays and vague excuses about “customs” and “shortages,” my device finally arrived October 25. It does not work — it won’t connect via Bluetooth, won’t record, and none of the troubleshooting steps help. Customer support is minimal, with no working phone number and extremely slow replies.

I also later discovered that most of the advertised “smart” features require a paid membership, which is not disclosed upfront. The company claims to be based in Toronto, but the return address is in Beijing, raising serious concerns about transparency and data privacy.

I requested a refund, but even that process has been drawn out and confusing, with invalid tracking numbers and delays sending a return label. Overall, this feels like a poorly managed and misleading product launch. I would strongly caution others against purchasing until Looki proves it can deliver a functional product, honest communication, and proper support.
