Rang up for an insurance quote and were fobbed off saying they were far too busy and if we hadn't brought the caravan from them they can't give us one!
Well Lowdham I will go out of my way never to purchase a van from you in the future 👍

A quality and committed dealer that follows through on their commitments. We recently purchased an Eriba 600, which is a new entrant to the UK market from Eriba/Hymer based on the VW Crafter.
While there were a few minor points to address, the team simply got on with it and sorted them out.
Our sales contact, Nathan Rocket, was professional and did a good job fronting the handover video for the vehicle. Additionally, a shout-out to Ryan, the workshop manager, who made a necessary adjustment that allowed us to get the motorhome ready for use.
It’s a good team that ensures things are handled properly, without drama and without undue delay.

So we had a Swift Caravan which we purchased from Lowdhams in 2018, we decided it was time to take the plunge and switch to a Motorhome, we had decided against Swift as we had many issues with the Caravan, we had looked at other dealers at different models but ended up looking at Swift as they have so much more as standard for a very reasonable price.
So we ended up back at Lowdhams just to compare models with no intension to buy from them.
We got talking to the sales guy Richard Walsh and that all changed, so knowledgeable about all of the specifications and the technical aspects, lined vans up for us to consider models with heating and lighting on, came in on his day off to take us on a test drive and nothing was too much trouble.
So we chose the model Swift Escape Xtra 694 with the 60th edition pack, over and above again Richard arranged the 3 they had in stock to be lined up so we could do some initial QC and pick what we considered the best of the 3, I would recommend this if possible as we found a few small snags with the one we chose and these were then all sorted pre handover.
In my opinion all of the hard work and organisation that he put in for us made the other dealers we had visited look like amateurs.
We also learnt that Swift had improved build quality and so far we can confirm that the look and feel of our New Van is amazing.
Well done Lowdhams, Thank you Richard for making our experience such a pleasurable one and we are looking forward to many exciting trips away

Buying a new campervan is a daunting experience but nothing was too much trouble for our salesperson Jamie. He dealt promptly with all our requests and queries very professionally and efficiently ensuring that the extras we had requested were installed liaising with the various tradespeople. He even contacted us after the vehicles had to been handed over to check if there was anything we needed clarifying after we had driven the vehicle home It is good to know that we can contact the company if we have any difficulties or queries. A first class service supported by Shirley during the handover. Well done.

They were great when we were buying our caravan, we have since changed our van from elsewhere, phoned up to book it in for service, told they only service vans that have been purchased from them!!!

Probably a bit early to review - the true test is when service is required. That said the sales experience was good, trade in price fair - on a par with other quotes - and delivery was as promised. Handover very good, we dealt with Bryan Johnston who was professional, helpful and friendly. At this stage we would go back to Lowdhams again.

We visited Lowdhams a number of times at their showroom in Gunthorpe, and their stands at the NEC over a period of years. We were impressed with how we were treated - no hard sales and how genuine the sales team came over when speaking to them.
We met Nathan at the Swift factory in Hull at their open day. We had a long conversation of our needs and wants regarding a motorhome/Camper. Nathan was very patient with us and put suggestions forward of various layouts of mohos/vans. With one of us being 6ft 5" we have great difficulty finding bed length, height, driving position etc. We finally worked out that a campervan would not give us the living space we needed so went down the moho route. We also established that to enable a 6ft 5" person to have a comfortable driving position the Ford Custom with a adjustable steering wheel and automatic was the way to go.
Fast forward a few months and we visited the Lowdhams stand at the NEC. We chatted to Nathan who remembered us from the Swift factory, and after some negotiation ended up walking away from the NEC putting a deposit on a Motorhome!
We can honestly say we have had a very positive all round experience with Lowdhams. On pick up day Paul went through everything with us. We even made a video of the walk through. Paul was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.
We are now part of the Lowdhams family, which is a lovely touch to be able to use their rally field and discount in the shop. Everyone we have dealt with from Nathan, Paul, the sales team and the ladies on reception have all been super helpful and friendly.
Would definitely recommend without hesitation, and plan to use Lowdhams for our service needs in the future.

Brought a new Caravan from Lowdhams in Jan 2025 fantastic service from sales to dispatch and everyone in between , it’s just been in for its first year service and that’s gone smoothly and without a hitch ! Nothing but brilliant service and great communication as per normal . Throughly recommend .

Sales went fine, but the after sales is shocking. Once they have your money they wash their hands of you. Trying to get issues fixed is near impossible, they don't return calls, put obstacles in the way and are rude. I would not purchase from them again.

Bought a new campervan in Dec.24 which we both love and the sales staff were excellent.There was a few snagging issues which is common with new vehicles but the service department is very poor.It's difficult to talk to someone in there as they just leave the phone to ring.I had to get in touch with Truma myself(who were helpful)to get a new control panel supplied for the heater but some of the original issues have still not been resolved i.e.very slow flow at the kitchen tap and toilet flush.I was simply told ''that's how they are''which is not good enough.I have decided to get an independent service engineer to do the first service as I have lost confidence in the service department.This will invalidate the 2 year warranty but I think I can do most of the repair jobs better myself(or get a man in if I can't) for less money than the exorbitant cost of a habitation service at Lowdhams.I have already repaired the lounge table which collapsed.Lowdhams really deserve a 1 star rating but I have given them 2 stars because of the excellent sales staff.

Our recent motorhome purchase from Lowdhams in Nottingham was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. We were looked after by Kevin Holmes, who was exceptional throughout the whole process. His warm, welcoming approach, product knowledge, and genuine willingness to help made the purchase completely stress-free. The handover with Paul was equally impressive. It was thorough, unhurried, and explained with clarity, ensuring we left confident and fully informed.
From the initial enquiry to driving away, the service we received was first-class. We are absolutely delighted with our motorhome and can’t recommend Lowdhams highly enough. A well-deserved 5 stars.

We were pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from Lowdham’s recently appointed Customer Experience Manager Craig Russell the very same afternoon that we posted our review below:
He was very understanding and completely agreed that the after sales experience we received was not how Lowdhams like to treat customers.
It’s good that they realise this and are addressing their problem.
Craig advised that he is new in the role but is there to improve the customer relationship.
He was very helpful and has already sorted out the missing part for us.
It’s good that they want customers to be pleased with the whole process and come back as returning customers in future.
We are impressed with the quick response and see that they are actually addressing their issues.

We bought an Eriba 430 summer 2025 from Lowdhams.
The sales lady Sandra was very helpful at the time.
We found some small issues with the van and she advised all would be taken care of before delivery.
At the time we were moving house so asked Lowdhams to save the van until we were ready to accept delivery.
She agreed to this and it also gave them time to do the repairs.
They had the van for several months.
When we went to collect it the handover was not ideal.
Done outside in the pouring rain instead of under the covered areas they have.
Even though we asked for the van to be moved so that we could do the handover it wasn’t.
The handover was not pleasant.
We did it in the rain anyway and we noticed that not all the promised rectification work had been done.
They had the van for months and it should have all been ready for us.
Some work had been done where the bed supports were and we were grateful for that but the work was in my mind not good enough so I did more improvements myself at home and it’s much better now.
We were disappointed that not all the repairs had been done and told Sandra the sales manager but no further offer to rectify the issue was offered.
I took it upon myself to do it once we had the van at home.
We went away in the van in November and had some questions about the electrics connecting the fridge.
I called Lowdhams on three occasions to try and get support but their service dept never call back.
I called for a fourth time and reception again tried to just put me through to service but they never answer the phone.
I left several voicemails but nothing in return.
Additionally we noticed that one of the corner light covers was missing.
I have been trying to get one from Sandra in sales who promised to send one since mid November but so far have nothing despite being promised one.
As far as support goes from Lowdhams once they have your money, it seems very poor.
They seem to be very keen to know you when ready to buy but once you have paid then it’s a different story.
Shame because we did start with a pleasant experience but it went downhill since we had paid for the van.

I stupidly reversed my motorhome into an obstruction and damaged the corner of my motorhome. I needed to source a part and I received a very helpful and speedy response fron Vinny Carey at the Nottingham branch. Once I sent photos Vinny instantly knew what I needed. I paid by electronic banking and Vinny ordered it straight away. The part was delivered to my home address even quicker than the stated time. Very pleased with this transaction.

We met the team at the NEC February 2025. Chatted to a super helpful chap called Kevin.
After hiring from Swiftgo for a holiday to see if MoHo life was for us, we bit the bullet December and purchased HiStyle. We’ve had it 3 weeks now and one trip away already and WOW we love it. We tried everything thing out while hooked up.
Would like to thank everyone at Lowdhams for their support. ( I email with lots of questions).
Adam was our salesman but if we hadn’t met Kevin who knows 🫣
One tip- for sure try before you buy, you can learn a lot and make use of the 1/2 refund with in 6 months 👍.

Purchased our new campervan at the NEC show. Receive a warm and welcoming reception from Shirley and Jamie. Being our "first real camper van - VW upgrade". The process of acquisition was explained both simply and professionally by Jamie and Shirley, which put me at ease.
Always kept in the loop regarding developments leading up to the collection of the van.
On the actual day of collection we received a warm welcome from both Jamie and Shirley. We were given a tour of the "ins and outs" during the handover and both Jamie and Shirley explained matters concisely, plus gave reassurance that be there any queries or problems to make contact.
As mentioned, this being our "first real camper van" there were a few minor concerns that I had. These were rectified with ease by the Technicians, at a later visit just to put my mind at ease. Once again reassured that if there were any problems or concerns to get in touch.
Was always treated with the upmost respect and courtesy even though I referred to "Campervan Barry as Campervan Dave" - sorry Dave... I mean Barry!!!
I would like to sincerely thank Jamie, Shirley, the Technicians and all staff at Lowdham's for their professionalism, help and assistance and a rewarding customer experience.
