The worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had.
I attempted to exchange an item, but the process was a nightmare. The company insists on "validating" returns (which is be mandatory) and provides zero communication until you threaten them with action.

I eventually cancelled the exchange and requested a refund so I could simply re-order. They ignored the cancellation and sent me a second unwanted item anyway. I am now stuck chasing a refund that is long overdue. Save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere.

Absolutely appalled by their lack of interest to follow up on customer care. An expensive jacket from Mackintosh, a company that prides itself as timeless style, exceptional quality and generational durability.

When I contacted to find out how best to maintain and spot clean the jacket, they asked me to send pictures in, which I did. After waiting many days and chasing up a few times, I received a blank message (as if from an iphone without logo or branded footer which all other communication had) copy paste from a note that a "repairs person" stated in a memo saying that there's nothing they can do. Absolutely appalling, not even an attempt to offer guidance or support or discount on a new one, and no reference to leaving me waiting and needing to chase up.

The brand has had it's day, they certainly don't offer what the purport to and a very disappointing experience in the end. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND wasting your money.

This was first time buying online with Mackintosh but have bought 2 other items from other retailers & both coats 🧥 are still my favourite coats I own I already know how this Cape fits & looks like on as already tried the item purchased beforehand & saved a bob or two in the process as it’s reduced in SALE & also further 10% with PROMO CODE added also. I must admit buying online with Mackintosh direct was a pleasure. Thankyou Juan C.

I bought a fairly expensive bonded cotton Mackintosh coat thinking I'd get a quality garment for years to come. Now less than three years after a large defective tear has appeared on the front side of the coat.

I contacted their customer service in hopes of getting a warranty repair or a compensation of some sort. All I got were instructions to send the coat to Scotland for an assesment at my own expense or contact the retailer, which doesn't help in any way.

Mackintosh seems to take pride in quality and their garments being hand made but apparently you can get better quality garments from your local supermarket.

To avoid an expensive disappointment avoid Mackintosh.
