I ordered a manga from Manga Republic because the listing photos showed a copy in acceptable condition. What I received was significantly more damaged than what was advertised.
When I contacted customer service, I was basically told that because the book is old, they “can’t do anything” and that I should simply stop buying old books from their store if I have standards.
This is not about expecting a brand-new item. It’s about receiving a product that is NOT consistent with the photos and then being met with a rude and dismissive attitude instead of any attempt to help.
Extremely disappointing experience. I will not order from Manga Republic again.

I thought it was shady at first considering the shipping is completely free and there’s no tax, but it is LEGIT. I took a risk last year buying 3 volumes of Arakure Ojousama wa Monmon Shiteiru, and insanely they all came like less than THREE WEEKS later. From Japan. I have no idea how they do it!! And they even include a pack of plastic covers for your manga, Japanese sweets, and personalized letters thanking you for your purchase. Since then I’ve bought another three volumes from a different series, and again, everything came super quick and pristinely packaged (bubble wrapped, cardboard separating the books, tightly taped) with the mentioned goodies. It’s gonna be the ONLY place I buy manga from now on, especially since they sell niche collections for so cheap. I literally can’t believe how good this is, it’s a real “too good to be true” moment. This is coming from a real manga nerd, not a bot lol.

Very good store ! They are quick, they communicate in perfect english, the packaging was solid, I was given protection sleeves for the manga I bought as a gift. What else could I want ? 5 out of 5 !

Literally the best packaging I have ever seen from any company ever. They also sent a bunch of freebies with my first order which was a nice surprise. The customer service is amazingly friendly! And they carry a lot of manga that is hard for me to find elsewhere. So refreshing to see a company like this! I will be ordering again.

The book came surprisingly quickly, and they gave me a gift so what is not to like.

Customer service is kind and wonderful, all my packages arrived way before the due date in perfect condition, I really recommend them !

The manga I ordered was a fantastic price, considering it was coming from Japan (?), and even had free shipping. It came packaged very securely and arrived in about 2 weeks. I would highly recommend this site!

I wanted to order a volume of pumpkin night recently. I checked around the internet and struggled to find places which sell any of the volumes apart from ebay, they sold them at upwards of £30 D:

I then found manga republic and thought its a little shady for them to be selling many of the volumes for like £10 With free shipping.

But alas, it arrived!!! and it only took like 2 weeks to the uk (free shipping from japan?!?!?) Perfect condition, Packaged meticulously - was very secure but still simple to open.

I'll definitely look into buying more things from their websites, Im very impressed.

Just Received the package, and wow, this was so unexpected. I was skeptical at first, Because some Mangas have a very good price, i orderded one of them, and it came just after two weeks. They also gave me some sleeves as a first-purchase gift from their site. 100% recommended

Soooo there's everything on the site BUT
i got one manga from there as a gift and i recieved it but now i ordered 3 other volumes over a month ago and i still haven't got it.

Simply put: a great experience! Well and securely packaged (even with a cute first-purchase gift) and clear communication with customer service. Friend of mine had recommended it to me, and I'm very happy she did. I'll definitely buy something here again, I'm happy to have a place where I can buy manga in Japanese now :)

Bought full set of Ookumo-chan flashback and they came withing the 5-10 days it said it would, well packaged, even got free book covers with it. Would absolutely recommend to someone who wants Japanese manga. Their website does look a little sketchy but they are 100% legit and should be trusted

Manga came well packaged and in great condition. Took around 12 days to recieve, but as it's coming from Japan that's to be expected. Prices were by far the best I have seen for raw mange.

The only problem I can see is I will buy too many!
