My son and I attended the recent Chicken keeping course . We are looking to get our first chickens at the end of April and this course has certainly given us lots of information and confidence for when we start our keeping chickens journey. The course was delivered by Jason with such a passion for the chickens . It’s was also lovely to be able to see and handle the chickens ,learning about the different breeds and temperament of them too.

The variety of Pekin bantams is impressive, and they're cared for exceptionally well. The customer service is outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Great products and fantastic service & delivery

This course was absolutely mind blowing. Extremely informative and hands on. We learned to make a Super and how to handle a swarm. We also looked into all the working hives and learned to record our findings! If you’re thinking of becoming a bee keeper then here is a great place to start!
The set up is very comfortable and clean. Tea and Coffee supplied and if you’re lucky Kerry will make some of her GF Honey cake which is delicious. This course will definitely leave you buzzing. 🤭

Our small flock of silkies and bantams have just spent four weeks at Mantel Farm whilst we were on holiday. Their accommodation was clean, secure and indoors protected from the weather. On collection our hens all looked healthy and happy. Staff were friendly and helpful. We are very happy with our experience, it certainly gave us peace of mind to know that our birds were going to be safe and well looked after.

What a joy to see hens so well cared for. Mantle Farm is the very best place for birds, feed, bedding and equipment. Jason and his experienced team are always on hand to give really helpful practical advice too. We are so lucky to live only a few miles away, Mantel Farm is well worth a visit.

I recently placed an order for 2 chicken perches, and they were promptly delivered within a couple of days. The quality of the perches is exceptional and the packaging was done beautifully. I am highly satisfied with my purchase from Mantel Farm and will certainly be placing future orders in the near future.

I have used the services of Mantel Farm for several years now and always trust them with the boarding of my chickens. They are my go to for equipment and advice and their out of hours collection service is convenient and easy to use.
I wanted to give them a special mention today as I was very unwell when I went to collect my chickens yesterday and Kerry and Tracy took such good care of me. Kerry was just transferring my girls into her own car to bring me home when my husband arrived.

Mantel Farm is a caring and compassionate supplyer of chickens , who have very high standards of animal welfare. The birds are kept in a superb, clean and spacious environment . They always check that you understand the needs of the birds and how to introduce them to an existing flock. Their animal feeds, bedding and equipment is of good quality and keenly priced

So happy with the boarding facilities at Mantel Farm, spotlessly clean, eggs kept & labelled for us on our return, Kerry is quick to respond on any queries. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Dear Mantel’s Farm
The original booking was in 2020 and the cancellations were because of Covid lockdown but you still had our deposit. You then cancelled our booking because you were in a restricted bird flu zone both hardly our fault. This should have had no bearing the looking after of the ducks.
We were very happy to collect our ducks as we had missed them but because of the torrential rain we were in no position to assess their condition, once home they seemed frightened unhappy and unwell.
The evidence we have, is observed and circumstantial, so we make no accusation of poor care.
We would point out that we provided the floating duck food so it involved you in no extra expense.
We have no desire to discuss this further but we will not be using your services again.

Our girls are always looked after so well when we are away. We have just returned from a break to settled happy hens.

We recently bought 2 bantam chickens at Mantel Farm. It was a real pleasure to see the clean, spacious conditions in which all the birds are kept and where customers are able to view and select hens to add to their own flock. Service was knowledgeable and with a smile.
