Visited the Bury New Rd store again today. As usual excellent service from Trish. It’s our ‘go to’ place for suits for husband and grown up sons - quality and styles never disappoint. Thank you!

Another addition added to my MD collection today, and as always, the service was exceptional 👌🏼.

Trish and Julia were very welcoming and helpful, which just adds to the great, professional experience and service offered at MD.

Never fails in quality suits, quality service and great prices.

Obviously I shall be returning later in the year for another suit (hopefully a charcoal tweed/herringbone number 😊).

I recently placed an order for a Royal Blue Check Print suit from this company, only to receive a completely different item — a light blue check print suit. This was particularly distressing as I had ordered it specifically for a wedding.

Despite admitting their error and acknowledging that the correct item was now discontinued, the company refused to offer any compensation beyond a simple refund. I have been left out of pocket, having to purchase a replacement suit elsewhere at more than double the original cost, all because of their mistake.

What makes this worse is that there was no proper quality control or final verification before dispatch, something I can prove was done with my previous order. Yet, they still claim this was a “human error” and consider their legal obligation fulfilled by refunding the item.

I have since escalated the matter to senior management, initiated a claim through the Consumer Court, and will be sharing my experience with Trading Standards. The handling of this issue has been unprofessional, dismissive, and entirely lacking accountability.

I strongly urge anyone considering purchasing from this company to be cautious — their after-sales service and complaint handling fall far below acceptable standards. A simple apology does not make up for wasted time, effort, and financial loss.

Impeccable quality. My wife worked for Jaeger Tailoring many years ago and was very impressed with the quality of the suit and was even more impressed with the pattern matching!
If you are looking at making a purchase please take my advice, Marc Darcy is outstanding.

Did not receive my order, Customer Service non-existent.
Waiting for a refund nearly a month still no reply or refund.

I don't usually write reviews, but, in this case I felt it was necessary. I ordered a waistcoat from Marc Darcy, but, although it was a really nice garment, I ordered the wrong size. I just want to say. The service I received from Marc Darcy was impeccable!
I needed it in a hurry, so I called in. The guy on the phone (sadly, I didn't take his name) was brilliant, he advised of the quickest way to place the order, and which postage to choose to receive it in time. The waistcoat literally arrived within 48 hours!
I ended up completely changing my mind, and, was surprised when I came to return it, to find that not only was it was completely free to return, but it was so simple to do. Thankyou so much Marc Darcy, Even though I didn't buy the waistcoat this time, I will be sure to return!

Ordered the Drake 3 piece sky multi tonal....wow what can I say, I'm not a suit wearer usually but I absolutely love everything about this one, Fits like a glove and the waistcoats awesome,
Rarely feel the need or desire to leave feedback partly due to not being much of a consumer but credit where credits due, this suit is beautifully made and looks amazing. five stars from me and thank you Marc Darcy.....I'll look forward to wearing it at my neices wedding next month.....speedy delivery to I might add

Really impressed with great service. Ordered 2 matching suits online for best men. Both arrived in good order within the 7 days expected. Sadly one was too big. I easily raised an exchange on the website and retuned one suit using the free return label provided. The repalcement was again received well within the 7 days. Sadly this was now too small, no ones fault. We then needed to return both suits as we found an alternative else where. Again easily raised a return on the website, returned using the label provided and received a full refund within five days of the 10 expected. Although I didnt end up buying anything (sorry guys!) I was very impressed with the service and will definitely use you again next time! (Not that I plan on getting married again for a while)

may i compliment your store manager TRISH for the excellent service my wife and i enjoyed on our visit to the bury new road store, not only super efficient but also exceedingly pleasant and charming, nothing was too much trouble for her and she gave excellent advice. may i also add that the back room support was also superefficient many thanks again for a wonderful experiance. best wishes colin & geraldine hartley

This is an absolute terrible company and warn people to be aware before buying. I bought a suit this year as I was getting married and to my horror my trousers came apart from the seeming, this happened during my reception. I wrote a email and showed pictures to the company, but their response was we will send you out a new pair ! Fair enough I thought after weeks of waiting I still didn’t receive them so contacted them again only to be told they didn’t have my size in. This was august this year and still waiting. My wife has rang the company up and asked as a customer if they had the same trousers in stock , they did and the size I was waiting for. When told them who we where they put the phone down. Not heard anything since. Just wanted to warn others and don’t want anyone to be ripped off like myself.

Recently came in for a suit for me and my son....The 2 ladies working there were brilliant, especially the lovely young Irish lady, (sorry, I didn't get Her name! ) Nothing was too much trouble for Her, a credit to the company!

A great range of stylish, high-quality suits at really good prices. We struggled to find smart suits for my 14 year old son and were delighted with the range available. Friendly, knowledgable, staff who were happy to help with the fit, style, and matching accessories. A great experience.

All I can say is wow, the suits we have received are incredible quality and the customer service we received was second to none. We had a lot of suits to buy as it was for our wedding party and Chan and Trish were so accommodating. We had to send a lot of them back as they weren’t the correct size (nothing to do with Marc Darcy) and they all came back in such good time. I’m so grateful to them for making our experience so seamless, we 100% would recommend and will be back in the future :)

Came across Marc Darcy after looking for suit for my Daughters Wedding after trying the usual Boss etc. I went for the Bromley Navy check three piece which arrived promptly and nicely packed.

I did try the Sky Blue which was lovely but went for the Navy. The return on the Sky Blue one was seamless and got a refund very quickly.

I have to say it's a beautiful suit and real quality. The fit is perfect and looks fab.

Just finished it off with a lovely blue paisly tie which came in a nice presentation box.

Pretty awful experience , images do not match the product at all apart from the very last image which i did not look at reasonably kind of thought the first few images would be representative of the product . i had to pay £13 to return the product , no reduction in return cost as website states but should be free considering the issue ...didn't even bother to respond to my last email to them on this issue . Purchased another one foolishly , it arrived with a mark on the shoulder , and again product didn't match any of the images shown checked them all this time and now they are in the process of wanting me to pay for it to be returned . Be careful if you do decide to use this company !

Delivered super quickly, suit fits perfectly, texture is really nice. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is because the suit came in a plastic bag that was damaged when I received it. At that price and seeing as a suit can be fragile, I would expect better packing.

We travelled from Kirkby Lonsdale to buy a suit from your shop today, what a brilliant choice of suits and accessories ! I thought we would need an appointment for my husband but no …..Julia was just brilliant flitting from customer to customer and we didn’t feel neglected or being a pain in any way! Any size we needed was brought to us within minutes as staff behind the scenes were bringing them in. Fantastic set up and would highly recommend!
If you have anything like assistant of the month Julia deserves it hands down! She is an absolute Diamond, we would have been totally lost without her ! Thank you !!!!

Fantastic suit and service. Brought a suit online. Tried it on fit perfectly. A month later on trying it on just before our wedding it didn’t fit. I’d put weight on. I was out the returns time. Emailed them, as suit wasn’t worn with tags. They exchanged within 3 days. Would definitely use again.
