Almost 3 weeks after I placed my order and there was still no update or signs that the order had shipped. I reached out to customer service to see if I could get an update and was met with an unhelpful response from an AI assistant. I emailed again and a customer service rep replied and canceled my order because they did not have enough stock to fulfill my order. I have never run into an issue like this with any online retailer, including other small businesses. The products look great online and I was planning for a while to buy something. Unfortunately I endded up very disappointed by this unprofessional and disorganized service.
Update - they do not even reply to customer service messages within 24h on working days. I highly suspect they forgot about my order and ran out of stock by the time I reached out.

Marcella is truly an amazing company all around. There are very few companies who not only treat their employees with integrity and respect, but also their customers. On top of this, they have a sustainability/environmentally-conscious approach to their business, which is rare in the retail clothing industry. The icing on the cake is their customer service - top notch. I love their unique and chic pieces, the material is high quality and the fit is wonderful. I also love that they offer so many modest pieces (tunics, longer sweatshirts, etc.)- again, a rarity. I can't recommend them enough.

I shopped at Marcella NYC for the first time and bought the Mackenzie wool coat for Black Friday and was extremely excited for it. It took awhile for the coat to arrive, but I was patient. However, I ordered the wrong size and it was final sale (marked on website), so I asked for an exchange which they reasonably denied, despite the coat be sold at full price on their website in the size I needed. So I asked if a manager/supervisor can confirm- Lucky I (a customer service rep, I presume) was the one answering my emails. She didn’t escalate to a manager despite multiple requests and I even offered to buy the coat at full price to get the correct size. She denied both and was sending me templated emails saying it’s not possible. While I understand that returns do create a sustainability issue, in my case I was asking for an exchange along with paying the difference. My request was reasonable and asked with politenesss. No flexibility for my first time interaction with the brand and I’m not going to shop here again. I do not recommend.

I have not been able to get any response from this company regarding my instant exchange. I sent in my return the same day I received the order and followed the process.
I’ve only been able to get in contact with their “virtual assistant” who now says my order doesn’t even exist. I’ve been charged twice on my card, don’t have my jeans, and don’t have a refund.

Horrible company.

Some of the clothing is great but other pieces not so much. Beware of their return process! They use bots instead of people. I opted to replace items, returned items a month ago, and have not received any replacements. I just took a $236.80 loss to try new pants. Will not make that same mistake again!

While the item in question (which was very well-made) didn't work out, the customer service is amazing! I was unable to process the return on my own because when I entered it into the platform, I kept getting a message that the item wasn't eligible. Emailed customer support, got a prompt response, and when the glitch persisted, they processed it on their end and sent me a QR code. A frustrating situation made simple, thanks to an efficient, friendly team. I'll definitely shop with Marcella again!

I ordered a few pieces after looking at them for ages. I absolutely love each piece. They fit true to size, and the quality is great. I had a small issue with the shipping charges, and their support team got back to me within 24 hours and immediately sorted it out for me, no questions asked! Highly recommend.

I placed an order almost a week ago that's been "processing" with no update or tracking number. All outreach to their support email has gone completely unacknowledged. I aim to support small businesses but this is ridiculous and I will have my bank dispute the charges. Get a real person to help with customer support already.

No wonder the comments on Reddit warn people about shopping here. This company feels shady, and the customer service is honestly horrible. I reached out immediately/2 minutes after placing my order for a simple size change, and they were completely unhelpful. And the customer support stopped replying after saying they can't help. There’s zero flexibility and no real support. I won’t be shopping here again.

My 2 greatest discoveries this year have been reformer Pilates & Marcella! I want to add everything they sell into my wardrobe! I love that they use environmentally conscious packaging & that I’m benefitting education for women & girls globally. It’s a win win all around! Keep up the great work!

I decided to buy only from companies that were amicable with the environment and treat their employees right. I love that Marcella does not mass-produce and you can tell it's true. I got two blouses and I love them so much. Excellent construction, and they donate to girls's school in Africa.

I love the clothing line because it's simple, gorgeously made and unique in a very subtle way. (Subtle is important.) The people at Marcella immediately answered my questions kindly and patiently, and there isn't a day that I don't look at their line. Really well made clothing that wears beautifully. I love Marcella NYC.

Marcella is my favorite brand! Their products are made well and fit as described. I am big on reading reviews before I purchase something and I like that Marcella posts good and bad customer reviews under their products. They sell the truth. You would be hard pressed to find a company that shows two different body types as their models. I’m a. Medium on the bottom and large/medium on the top so I appreciate being able to see models with larger chests wearing the items I’ll be purchasing.Some companies will only post positive reviews and that’s not ok.

First off Marcella makes great clothing. They create high quality unique clothing designs assembling them with excellent workmanship while using high quality materials. Secondly their customer service is highly professional and delivers prompt service with a strong sense of customer satisfaction focus. Because of these two reasons they will continue to win my praise and business.
