I had a truly wonderful experience working with Milton on my remortgage on my BTL, which came with the added challenge of a very low lease. Very poor service from start to finish. We were due to complete on the 7th May For 2 months Milton told us everything was fine and that we had our mortgage approved. Kept telling us the offer letter was on the way. Even when we told him we hadn’t received any letter and we were worried as it was getting very close to our exchange date, he just said it was just slow, don’t worry it’s fine. The week before exchanging contracts with the seller, Milton messaged to say our offer was less than what we had expected and we would have to start the process again, we never did see this offer from the lender which makes us wonder if there was even a lender, all of this was too late to restart the process with a new lender as we were told this exactly one week before exchanging. Milton then proceeded to contact other mortgage lenders without our agreement.
We feel very let down and as our seller wanted to move fast with his sale he wasn’t prepared to wait so relisted.
I would not recommend Milton, we lost the house we were after. If we had gone with another mortgage advisor we would be happily sitting in our new home.
