I'm a surveyor of a large housing company and I wouldn't give this company one star it is only because I couldn't write a review unless l clicked on one star.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. The attitude and service are so poor I am surprised they are still in business. I could write a war and peace on the atrocious service that's been offered; All I would say is it I am now having to deal with a notice from the local authority environmental health, as the company failed to collect their skip for 11 weeks resulting in rodents affecting the local residents.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I wrongly thought this was a local company due to 01902 number. It’s not. It’s actually a broker, part of a larger company called Circle Group. They take orders and hire from other local companies like Blitz Skips. When I called they offered me a price. When I said I was shopping around they offered a better price if I placed the order with them that day. I did. The skip didn’t arrive on the day it should have done. When I called to ask why (this was late afternoon), I was told it had been delayed due to hot weather on previous days and would be with me next day. I was ok with that as I had covid and would struggle to fill it. It arrived on the Thursday. They turned up the following week to collect it (it was a 2 week hire). I was still ill with covid and told the driver I’d only had it a few days. The skip was due for collection on Thursday 4th August; they turned up at 6.50am on 3rd. So I didn’t even have the skip that arrived a day late for the full 2 weeks. This company seems very professional at first but they are not. I will never use them again and urge people to check out companies before you order. Make sure you’re not buying through a third party. I could not be angrier than I am with this company

Awful & rude company. Hard to find terms & conditions. Incompetent staff. £125 because of difficult access. I’m disappointed I didn’t read their reviews first. Lesson learnt.

I have ordered rubbish collection from this this firm last week.charged £400 for 14 yarder for next day pickup and agreed to take the full van load.
They’ve just taken 15-20 bin bags for whole 14 yarder van.also bluntly refused the refund request.please avoid these scammers and use legitimate firm.

Only giving 1 star as I have no choice, they don't even deserve that!
Ordered a skip Friday to be told if they couldn't get it there then it would be Monday, all good, I changed my order to an 8yrd skip 1st thing Monday and was told it would arrive in a few hours.... fast forward to Wednesday and a ton of calls later I still had no skip. Eventually it arrived but they had sent a 4yrd skip instead of the 8yrd one I ordered. Beyond incompetant and seriously lacking in customer service,they are a middle man company with no actual skips of there own.
Asked for a refund which will take 5 days, and had to pay out to another skip company who delivered a skip within 2 hours...NOW THATS HOW ITS DONE!!

Excellent service, after booking a skip, I then found several bad reviews and braced myself for what might happen.

We called on a bank holiday and booked the skip for Thurs afternoon drop off. Very competitive price. Very polite and friendly service (Megan).

The skip arrived around 3pm, excellent driver, placed the skip where requested.

We pre booked collection for Monday and the skip was collected by 10am Monday morning.

I would use again and I’m sure reviews on here are the few bad experiences, seems we never like to review after a positive experience!

Bad business.signed and paid for skip to arrive 14th April. Advised to arrive about9am. By 11am had no and rang company. Had my order but told they would have to ring back but immediately. Half hour later,nothing,so l rang them only to be told that they would not be supplying my skip and had nothing else as it had been double booked. Contract a load of nonsense and although they would give me back my money,still have not so l am going through my bank now as fraud. They had no intention of letting me know that they could not supply a skip but took my money readily enough. Absolutely abysmal business.

They make out they are a skip company with their own fleet of vehicles, waste recycling everything and for the cheapest price.
All lies.

They are based in an office using other skip companies, but making out they are their own companies, and adding their cut on top, so you end up paying more, and my skip was a day late arriving, and they lied about the agreed date, when it was all down in print.
I will never use them again.......ever.

Don't be fooled by the mobile number on the advert, making out your talking to a small skip company, you're not.
Research carefully.
There are several adverts, all a variation of Martins of York, Leeds or where ever.
They are based in Lincolnshire in the East Midlands
Region of the UK.
They are a broker/agency nothing more,

Couldn’t fault them at all. Delivered into an awkward spot with no issues, it arrived when they said it would and collected when they said they would. All for a great price!

I have booked two skips through Martin Skip Hire, the second was to give them the benefit of doubt after the first poor experience. I shall never use them again. They were three weeks overdue collecting on the first occasion, and gave excuses each time I called them. This second skip, was very late being delivered, and again, after a number of phone calls to them, being fobbed off with poor excuses and empty promises. Don't believe the advertising rubbish as they are part of Circle waste, and, I think, are not a small, local company. I would NOT use them again, and would rather pay bit more with Abacus skips, or even take the waste there in bags myself. Literally rubbish company.

Rude, ignorant, poor service. Make mistakes and don’t rectify them. AVOID THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. There are much better skip companies about.

Don’t waste your money on this poor excuse of a company.
We hired a skip through this company with a guaranteed delivery date... what do you know? Skips are now invisible.. safe to say I managed to fit absolutely nothing in my invisible skip because it doesn’t exist... nor did it get delivered as per the promise. Quick to take my money though weren’t you Mr Martin’s skip hire !!! I have since seen reviews on your Facebook social media channel go up to then be deleted, do we have shame in customers giving their honest feedback?? Sounds fishy to me Mr Martin.... oh and what do you know now, no visitors posts on your Facebook... wonder why that might be? Don’t waste your hard earned money on using this company... go for better more reliable companies such as Sadlers and Colson’s, not unless you wish to pay £308 for mr invisible skip to be delivered.

I am beyond disgusted with the service I have received from your company. You took £308 from me last Monday with a guarentee of delivering an 8 yard skip Thursday which you failed to deliver on. So not only do your skips cost more than the rest of the market they are also invisible.

For the total bank holiday weekend we had to deal with circle waste the provider of your skips and have been left in an absolute mess with waste still to be removed and your company refusing to do so.

You are now deleting comments and reviews froM your Facebook- do you have something to hide!?

You customer service is shocking - apparently my order went to a junk inbox yet the money went out instantly. I am now facing into having to pay out more money to get another skip company to do what I paid your company to do in the first place.

I do not recommend Martin’s Skip Hire - it would be better to wait for a more reputable company to be available.

This company is completely incompetent. We paid for a skip on Monday to be delivered on Thursday, no skip was delivered. They sent Clearabee to collect the rubbish, they took half of what would have fitted in an 8 yard skip them accused us of adding to the pile of waste, we are left with a pile of rubbish to get rid of. Use Enva, Colson, Sadlers, don’t waste your hard earned money with this company they simply don’t deliver and walk away with your money. They also take down any negative reviews that are posted, they won’t allow comments on their Facebook page now either, we will keep posting so people aren’t duped out if their money.
