Marvel have been great for our heat pump installation. They got us up and running very very quickly after a last minute change in plans for heating our new build.

Communication has been perfect, the team have been very helpful explaining how the new system works and the price was comparable with other quotes.

So far the heat pump is working fantastically and we have no regrets either choosing to go for a heat pump or choosing marvel for installation

Very professional. Had heat pump and solar installed. Marvel handled everything from start to finish. Customer support is excellent.

The installation was very quick and clean . The installers were helpful with changing some of the radiator sites. The system has worked well for us and we are very pleased with the change from oil heating.

1st call

Initial internet query led to a rapid telephone response from Marvel. Caller was polite and simply offered the opportunity to arrange a visit to explain what Marvel could offer. Visit arranged for later that week

1st visit
Kevin Rider ( Energy Consultant) visited. He was on time and had pre-contacted to give half an hours notice. He is polite, warm, friendly. He told us about Marvel as a company and what they could offer could offer. He recorded the basic details of the house and the possibilities and suitability of what may be involved with the install. We discussed the siting of the equipment and how Air Source heating and water supply would differ from our existing system and answered the queries we had regarding how it would meet our needs. At the end of the meeting he gave us a rough estimate of the works that would be required and a likely cost. We agreed to go ahead with a proper survey with a view to getting an up to date EPC, an assessment of the heating requirements and an accurate quotation. The survey was arranged for the following week and a follow up visit from Kevin to go through the results of the survey with us.

Survey
The surveyor arrived on time. He was polite and professional. The visit took around 2.5 hours and involved accurately measuring the dimensions of each room in the house. He created comprehensive floor plans on his tablet and added the room detail along with notes and measurements and photographs of radiators Photographs of the proposed site for the pump and the front and rear of the house were also included. Questions were asked and answered about the building and the current heating , power and insulation. All data was uploaded to the office whilst on site.

2nd visit
Kevin came back 3 days later with the results of the survey and a formal proposal containing an accurate assessment of the requirements and costs for the installation of the new system. He presented an easy to follow schedule showing each room in the house, its current heating and the proposed heating capability under the new system. Of the 15 radiators in the house 8 would need to be changed for larger ones to create the greater surface area required to heat the house to the design requirements in the proposal. We walked through the house looking at the rooms and radiators and agreeing the proposed changes. That done I was happy to sign up to the proposal and paid the first part of the deposit

Walk through.
A thorough look at power supplies, dimensions and what will be done at the install. Confirmed the changes and made one further change. Excellent explanation of what to expect on the day of install

Install
Day 1.
Plumbers arrived early. Gave them the guided tour to familiarise them with the house and layout and confirm what was happening in each room. Radiator and boiler delivery was at about 9:30 by which time they had covered the stairs with protective plastic, drained the existing system and were ready to get to work. The old boiler and hot water tank were removed quickly and radiator replacement under way. By the end of the day the job was half done.

Day 2
The heat pump arrived and the electrician started work on the wiring. The plumbers finished their work and all the rubbish was tidied up and put outside awaiting collection. All went well until a couple of small wiring issues cropped up late in the day which meant the finalising of the work would have to be done on the 3rd day.

Day 3. Job finished by mid morning and the system was fully operational. We had a lesson on controlling the system: how to set temperature and holiday mode etc and that was it.

The old boiler, heatstore, old radiators and other rubbish were collected a few days later.

Since install the system has been running quietly, the house is warm and the water is hot and early indications are that it will be more effective and cheaper than the previous gas boiler.

From planning consultation to installation the experience was smooth and professional.

Marvel Heating provided a good service from my first enquiry to completion. Their team were nice people to be in my house for 2 days. They were tidy and efficient. Leaving me with what I had signed up for - a comfortable house at my required temperature provided by a Mitsubishi Air to Water Hear Pump.

I found from start to finish.How the process of putting in my heating system would work and how long it would take approximately.The date was fixed but due to unforseen personal reasons at. Marvelheating informed me of a delay for fitting my ASHP. The new date was Re-scheduled for a later date stating that it could be 4 weeks before actual installation.This was agreed as it was coming upto spring anyway. On the day of installation stage1 delivery of equipment. Found the fitter most helpful and gave information on what was going to happen. next stage 2. Begining of installation fitting of cyclinder and ASHP. Stage 3. fitting of new radiators and pipe work fitters explain what happen during fitting.Installation is near completion Stage 4 Engineers and fitters final day. They check all work done and start the system and just as they are about to leave a upstairs pipe burst and as quick as it happened the plumber was on it and fixed the leak. They stayed awhile just to be sure no more incidents happened. So my all round comment on Marvelheating and their employees from start to finish are second to none and myself and wife know its money well spent are bill have drop quite considerabley.

Very professional installers, friendly, clean and informative. Everything about my Heat pump was explained. If I had any problems, it was sorted there and then. I am very pleased I had my heat pump fitted by this company.

We are new to heat pumps and we’re looking to install in our renovation project. We got 4 quotes and upon comparing the costs, makes and specifications, we found that Marvel was best for us. The installation was completed in two days, one for the main installation and plumbing and a second for the electrical works and commissioning.

The key for us was to progress at 'our' pace, and good customer service after installation. Of course the latter can only be experienced after committing, so Marvel's responsiveness during the pre installation period (the sale) was our best indicator. Pre installation progressed promptly, and Marvel dealt with our queries, of which there were many, clearly, fully, and patiently. Installation lasted 3 days with a new tank, the pump, and upgrading half of our radiators. Yes, there was the occasional hiccup but these were dealt with in good time.
Commissioning and handover feels rushed, with hindsight. "User instructions" feel fragmented for me, and it's taken a while for me to get my head around the system and tune it to our requirements. That said, the technical support has been excellent and reasonably responsive. I now believe that I know what I'm doing with the controls.
Does the system do what they said it would? Yes, but it's still early days for us and we've had mild weather.
Did they do what they said they would? Yes.
Would I recommend Marvel? Yes.

Really fast installation by very competent staff. Working well definitely easier than tramping buckets of coal through the house.

After several representatives came from Marvel Heating they fitted my heat pump so that my house would be heated to 22 degrees centigrade all year round. Their organisational skills set-back the instillation of some of my radiators and hot water. However, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, but make sure that your requests are met.

Happy with the work and completed as required.

Installation team was brilliant however when it comes to dealing with any problems after the installation is complete it's the hardest ting to get someone to come have a look at the issue I've had my booking cancelled twice now which is very frustrating I understand that people do get sick but for a well established company like that surely they could replace the sick engineer with a another and I'm still waiting

The initial sales meeting tempted us to proceed by indicating that the proposed installation could be accommodated despite the limitations within our home. The technical surveys confirmed this followed by the efficient installation.
All the staff from start to finish were thoughtful, helpful and professional.

From the initial consultation with Rob Goldstone through to the walkthrough and installation, the staff showed full professionalism and were very helpful.

If we had any questions or sort advise, they were very supportive. The equipment was installed to the highest quality. I would defiantly recommend this fabulous company to my friends and family.
