The lovely Laurie introduced herself at her first contact with my wife and I, and pretty well immediately we felt confident that she would produce a top class wonderful train journey throughout Switzerland. This was indeed done to perfection. She listened carefully to our vague ideas, then added her profound wealth of experience to produce an innovative and as comprehensive visit as could be imagined. At all times, she insisted, the team or herself were available 24 hours per day should there be the slightest problem. The organisation was so perfect that the necessity never arose. We were quite able to relax and follow the clearly illustrated route plans with ease. We shall use this classy facility produced by Marvellous Escapes again, with total confidence.

Having provided a short holiday brief and my contact details in the evening, the following morning I was emailed by Laurie who is now my appointed Travel Designer!
Within a couple of days we had agreed the itinerary for a rail tour of Switzerland and Laurie has been fantastic in the amount of attention to detail for the package. Myself and my fellow traveller are very excited about our future holiday and we booked up within 3 days of my first email. Great service so far!

We have recently returned from a wonderful trip around part of Switzerland.
Danielle was great, she listened and put together a wonderful and very detailed itinerary, with very prompt responses.
The whole experience was memorable. We will certainly be using ME in the future.
So pleased we upgraded to Excellence Class on the Glacier express, it was worth every penny and more!!
Most hotels were very well appointed and close to the stations, St Moritz further, but transfers are provided if you book ahead.
It was a stress free break knowing everything was so carefully planned with full written details provided to follow, knowing backup was on hand if itinery changed.

Very helpful in arranging a bespoke tour around Switzerland.
All went smoothly and hotels were all good, and generally not far from the station.
St Moritz a bit further but hotel minibus service shuttle was good.
I would certainly recommend them .

Laurie was excellent, we had a brief phone call for her to get an idea of what we wanted on the itinerary. Laurie put it together very quickly considering I gave her very little help with what we wanted. When she called to go through the itinerary she was so informative and described everything so that it felt we were already there. A very easy booking process. Highly recommended.

We travelled around Italy by train in July for 2 weeks. The organisation and detail from the company were exceptional. The hotels were superb and the whole holiday was brilliant. When our flight home was cancelled it was all sorted out quickly and new travel arranged. Would highly recommend this company and we will definitely book with them again!!

We have visited Budapest, Prague, Vienna and Slovenia this summer. Everything went great. The hotels and train journeys that Laurie has chosen for us were great. We had great time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this company ☺️

Hayley was very helpfull with our requirements for our Italian lakes adventure.

My wife and I, have just returned from a fantastic 10 day Switzerland rail travel experience, to help celebrate our 60th birthdays this year, put together by Marvellous Escapes.
From start to finish everything was perfect, great hotels in brilliant locations, train journeys that took our breaths away, and memories that will never be forgotten. I can’t thank the team at M E enough for everything they did, and that even includes the tin of Fortnum and Mason biscuits we received off them when we booked the holiday.

Paul and his team planned a one month grand tour of Italy for our 50th wedding anniversary. Everything went smoothly, trains, trips, accommodation, transfers etc. At all times it was reassuring that the back up team was only an email or phone call away.
We were extremely satisfied with the planning and support and came back with some wonderful memories and a lot of photos.
I cannot praise them too highly and would recommend them if you want a great train holiday.
