I called the Maryland Health Connection…

I called the Maryland Health Connection because I was having trouble logging on to the site. I spoke with a woman named Fant. Fant explained and enrolled me in the program. Fant explained the entire process to me in a very detailed and deliberate manner, which allowed me to completely understand the information. Fant is excellent at her job and was a positive person in a my time of uncertainty. Thank you Fant and keep up the excellent work!!!!!!!

If I could put zero I would!! The representatives and their processes are horrible they will not do what they can to help you they absolutely are careless in all of their ways! Worst experience I've ever had with an exchange.

Poor follow up, poor access

We enrolled my daughter 2 weeks ago, picked our plan, provided billing information but then never heard anything or received any kind of instructions since. On Friday we tried to contact for help but the site was down for maintenance. Tried to contact on Saturday, but all contacts were closed until Monday. We had much difficulty trying to get into the account and there was no further contact with us after the initial acceptance and picking the plan we want. This whole site makes no sense, it's inaccessible and so is any help

Maryland Health Connection cancelled my health ins.

I found out Maryland Health Connection had cancelled my health insurance a month ago but I was not notified by insurance co. until a month later. For reasons unknown, My policy was cancelled a month ago and Maryland Health Connection issued a new policy. I made the payment a month ago and Care First sent the check back for reasons unknown. The amount I sent a month ago was identical to the amount owed under the new policy they just issued. Why they issued is unknown but this caused me to be without insurance for a month. Luckily, I did not need to use the insurance. This action was negligent and against the law. I guess I will need to check every week to make sure no shenanigans have occurred and no one has cancelled my health insurance. Good grief!

Unacceptable hold times.

Been on hold for an hour to try and get to someone who can help reactivate an account/reset a password. The online chat is useless. It just sends you back to the call center where we're now on a lifelong hold.

The Maryland health connection website…

The Maryland health connection website is a mess, has not worked properly since I logged on. It contains fraudulent pricing information regarding medication cost. Won't let me change plans for some reason? They said tech support was working on it but I am running out of time to get a new plan and will have to go directly to a provider.

Chat Assistants Are Worthless!

The website in general is somewhat easy to navigate if you are computer literate. It was supposed to streamline applications, but it seems as if it is a hinderance since the application process seems to be longer. I can upload my documents, but they would never see or view them then ask for the documents again or just cancel your coverage altogether stating you didn't supply the documents.
BUT, these so called "Chat Experts" are the worst! When it comes to assistance with questions regarding your status, or your account the live chat assistants do not do anything but copy & paste generalized responses which DO NOT help the individual. If I am inquiring about why my application is delayed in processing, or why I can't upload requested documents I get a generalized "contact our 800 number response" or "please allow 10-15 business days" which is NOT answering my question! Especially if I allowed for the 15 business days AND I did everything else I was supposed to do.
The phone system is garbage since they always seem to have "higher than normal call volume" and to actually speak with someone you're on hold at least 30 minutes and that's AFTER you go through 3-5 minutes of listening to prompts before you can actually get to the proper channel.

Even though I know writing this nothing will change, I just wanted to make anyone out there aware that this is what our tax money is going to as much as these politicians claim they are helping us, they are not.

The food from Uber eats driver from McDonald's I don't know what McDonald's it was but it was the other day Saturday I think morning or Friday morning one of them two days I got two hash browns they gave me three hash browns and I got a pancake big breakfast and it was delicious.(Joseph Snyder)

The worst website ever

The worst website ever. My spouse went on Medicare. Had to wait until the effective date (a Saturday....and why do you have to wait for effective date?) to change the application. It wouldn't go through with no explanation given. And of course, on Saturday there is no one to call/chat with. Incredibly frustrating. You could hire a High School student to get this site fixed.

Follow up on insurance cancellation!

I moved out of state and was assured that they would cancel my plan after I called. They didn't. It's currently being "escalated." I hope this works. I also had to talk to someone online to get to this point - It's basically impossible to get someone over the phone.

The website can be a bit difficult to…

The Maryland Health Connection website can be a bit difficult to navigate or does not explain processes well. But once you overcome that hurdle, the website gives you everything you need to select an insurance plan, find out if doctors are in network, & if you qualify for subsidized savings. I'd rather use the website over long wait times for info readily available online!

If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, I would. Had an awful time last year. They removed my daughter as my dependent. What a mess. This year I tried to remove my daughter from my policy. I got 2 different answers about what to do. My policy was canceled today…then I have to call them back tomorrow at 2 to re-enrolled. My god please let this work. No one really knows an answer to any questions. They talk to you like you’re stupid. I called the state insurance commissioner’s off ice and left a message today. It’s a holiday week so no one is available. The state is completely screwed up.

Worst Ever System, Useless Service, Unreachable

Anytime I have gone on the MHC site to update information, they have cancelled my policy. Last year I just updated my income because I didn't want the stipends. My insurance was cancelled. I had to reenroll. Last month I moved. Purposely stayed in Maryland to maintain my health policy. They terminated the policy. I had to reenroll. It reset my out of pocket costs to 0 and increased my premium. Unresponsive customer service. You could die on hold. Unable to find who is responsible. Will be calling my State representatives. This system sucks! As a Doctor, I'm appalled how pitiful this is.

Customer service sucks

This website had a glitch, I called them because it keeps messing up with my coverage application. I keep calling them for a week now. I called yesterday their customer service and they put me on hold, never picked the call again. Today I call them at 8:30 am and after holding me for more than 2 hours, they canceled my call. This website is fine but its customer service suck.

After being frustrated with healthcare.gov not working properly, I found this website. This is also an official government run health exchange where you can buy insurance and see if you qualify for a tax subsidy.
