Lowkey i dont know what happend with that matcha powder quality this past few months u I dont know what ur doing different but u can tell when i first started buying from here it felt la a jackpot low price but very high quality but know the quality have changed and even after i sift its still clupy trust me at first i thought i was at fault only to realise the matcha quality changed

We haven’t changed the quality of our matcha, but matcha is a natural agricultural product and there can be differences between harvests and batches. The clumping you’ve described, especially after sifting, is something we definitely want to take seriously, often this can be down to humidity levels, we will investigate and converse with the farm to ensure this feedback is heard

Bitter matcha, messy packing
The box arrived with green matcha powder everywhere in the packaging. The jars appeared to be sealed and full so I'm not sure why there was powder everywhere. The matcha itself was incredibly bitter, I tried both jars and multiple different ways of using the matcha but it always had a bitter taste. Both jars went in the bin.

I found the items easy to order and they arrived a day later than expected (due to royal mail being late) the matcha comes in glass jars which is great for keeping the product dry and fresh. It's not as green as the images on the site but it's definitely brighter than the last matcha I purchased from Zuma. The smell is also very delicate and the flavour is mild not overpowering. So far we're enjoying it and will be making various drinks for our customers.

Excellent quality and outstanding customer service – highly recommend!
The ordering and delivery process was completely seamless. However, what truly sets this company apart is their customer service. The approach is incredibly personal, professional, and helpful. It is clear that there are real people on the other side who genuinely care about customer satisfaction, rather than just pushing a standard transaction.
As for the matcha itself – the quality is exceptional. It has a beautiful, vibrant green color, which immediately indicates its freshness and high grade. The taste is smooth and delicious, completely lacking the bitter notes often found in lower-quality alternatives. On top of that, the value for money is excellent compared to what else is on the market.
I highly recommend Matchaeco to anyone looking for a reliable source of premium matcha. I will definitely be a returning customer.

We’re really sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your matcha experience. Matcha can definitely be quite different if you’re new to it — authentic ceremonial-grade matcha has a naturally earthy, vegetal taste compared to sweetened café powders.
A few tips that may help:
• Try using water around 70–80°C rather than boiling water, as higher temperatures can make matcha taste more bitter.
• Many people enjoy it with oat milk or coconut milk and a little honey, vanilla syrup or sweetener to balance the flavour.
• Sifting the powder and whisking thoroughly can also make a huge difference to texture and taste.
That said, this doesn’t sound like the experience we want anyone to have. On the rare occasion, damage or tampering during transit can affect freshness, so we’d be more than happy to send you a replacement to try again. Please reach out to us directly and we’ll sort this for you straight away.
