Austin and John Brennan are terrible Matco reps don’t have 10 mm sockets don’t have 8 mm sockets and ratchet rebuild kits have to be ordered. Seems like the whole truck has irrelevant tools no one needs just wants. No real support with these reps in west palm beach stay away. Go with Tony from tool nation he’s been a snap on Matco tool rep he still can fix snap on-Matco whatever you need he doesn’t take advantage of you.

Brand New 87” X 31” TRIPLE-BAY NEW 6S SERIES TOOLBOX is a Lemon

I have been a snap on guy for 30 years, I have owned 3 big snap on tool boxes my current being a 84 inch Epic with both side cabinets and the hutch with the attick, Im in the market for more room as my snap on box is full, I went out on a limb and bought a brand new Matco box mostly because Ive known the Matco dealer for a long time and I trusted him, so I bought the 87” X 31” TRIPLE-BAY NEW 6S SERIES TOOLBOX, I was asked by my Matco guy if he could keep it on the truck for a couple days just to show it to others in hopes of more sales, I agreed, he was suppose to deliver my box a couple days later but I didnt see that box again for a little over 1 week later, when the box was delivered one of my co workers seen that the protective power cable guide in the power drawer was broken, so I told the Matco guy before he left my shop, loved it for the first week, then the lock jammed not even a week later and the box would not unlock, it took the Matco guy 3 days to get to my shop to fix the issue, but he did not install the correct lock he installed a used red lock and my box is black and purple, as he was replacing the lock he pulled the top drawer off the tool box to gain access to the lock and he bent one of the right drawer slides and some of the slide beatrings fell out, the very same day after he installed the lock all the drawers on the right side of the box was sticking, I called him and told him about it, a week later he came back and bent the lock rod a little so the drawers wouldnt stick any more. 2 weeks after that the RGB light in front of the box stopped working and the trim on the box started shocking me when ever I touched it, I told the Matco guy all this and he showed up a few days later and he did verify that the box was indeed shocking him when touched, 1 week later he asked me to video all the things wrong with this box so he could try to get this lemon of a box warrantied, he asked me to unlock and lock the box etc... to my suprise the box would not unlock again, at this point in time I had this box packed with tools, for the next 4 days I literally had to give up certain jobs because I had no access to the tools that was in this box. The Matco guy showed up 4 days later and took the protective top off of this box and drilled the lock extension plates out of it to get the box unlocked, Matco corp office told my Matco guy that they would not warranty this box because it could be repaired, that spelled the end for me, I contacted my lawyer and he came to the shop 2 days later and took pics and videos of all the things that were wrong with this Brand new box, at this time I told customer service , my Matco dealer, the district manager an another Matco dealer that I was done with Matco and I didnt care to keep the box, I was told that that was not an option, they said if I didnt want the tool box they could repo it, I completly stopped paying on this tool box after that, my lawyer states its a lemon and they failed to act as they should have acted through the warrnty process. I have expressed very strongly that I did not care to keep this box, I spent 20000 on box that is literally junk and the taste Matco put in my mouth with trying to remedy all the issues with this box just ruined the whole Matco thing for me, I guess there is a reason why all my other big boxes are Snap On, Finally after 2 months and Matco still ignoring the fct that I do not want this tool box anymore the Matco dealer told me that Matco was going to warranty the box, I told him again I did not want the tool box but as they al;l did before I was ignored again. so now its been alost 3 months and the broken box is still sitting at my shop and the Matco guy talked me into continuing payments again for this junk box, I DO NOT WANT THE BOX, Im a little nervouse after all the problems Ive had with a brands new Matco Box, what a terrible experience it has been, Ill never buy another thing from Matco, Matco customer service has showed me that its not about doing whats right, for them its about sales, sales, sales. their warranty is absolutly 100% a joke

Terrible service, rude phone operators, or are not understanding to situations concerning finance. They come off aggressive and not caring. This is my last time shopping with them.

This company is owned by a Fortune 500?

This company is owned by a Fortune 500. They must have slashed their budget starting with customer service, if there is one. Never had any problems with buying tools and never needed assistance. Been at it all week trying to get help with a bubble flare adapter for a kit I have. I want this part as well as several other tools on the site. I get right to the kit and click support and every piece in the kit has a part number and description, but it won’t recognize anything I enter related to the part. As soon as you call, you hear the “we’re experiencing longer wait times than usual” , no matter what day or time. Then at around 15 min. that message gets more frequent and then I’m told “sorry, there’s no one here to help you” and the call ends. I emailed and got a response in two days telling me that the part is listed in his computer. Also, what time he is in the next day so he could help me. I responded to the email that I just need to know what to enter for recognition so I could complete my order. Didn’t get a response in two days, but I had called a half hour after his stated time and got the phone dump. I think he needs to go on the company’s site to see if it works. So here we are, after day four and no other response. Looks like my project car will be down until I buy a kit from Mac or Snap On.

Worst Customer Service

Matco Tools has the worst customer service ever. I cancelled a backordered item and was then double charged for a duplicate item I didn't even didn't order. I have spent hours trying to call customer service and they have never answered the phone, but they sure answer the order line if you want to place an order. I have requested a phone call several time and they will not call me. I would avoid Matco tools.

I will never buy tools from them again. Im now out money and tools. Because they say that these trucks are franchises, and they do not have to back them. So if they lose or steal your product.

I will never buy tools from them again. So when you sent your tools in to get fixed or replaced, they tell you that it's a franchise problem. And will not replace or fix your tools. They are the worst company I have ever used. Im now out the money and tools. Please don't use this company they will steal

I have bought matco tools for the last 8 years.

I have bought matco tools for the last 8 yrs not buying from other tool trucks. I have purchased a lot of stuff over the years. I work in Mt. Juliet tenn and lost the matco dealer at the shop I am at. I have broken tools and have no way of getting them replaced or repaired. It's a joke. This happens a little with matco. I have lights u where on your head one is broken and the other will only last about an hr now charged. The ones that matco carries is junk. I wish someone made a freaking light that was bright and easy to hang so u can use effectively. The magnets r shitty and most have no hook. This is a joke.

matco tools truck almost hit me and my child

matcotools truck on the freeway in henderson nv exiting college dr would not let me in when i was trying to switch to the exit lane and almost forced me and my autistic child to crash!!! i honked at him since we could have DIED and he started to slam on his brakes and went even slower!! AGAIN trying to force a accident!!! license plate: 57F 466. i want a manager to call me immediately, this is unacceptable! i followed him and he went it looked like to his home since he smiled and laughed at me in the garage while i took pictures. i have photos of his truck and him. tall white male in brown shorts, sunglasses, and a short sleeved dark blue or black shirt. im outraged your company is endangering the lives of children and i will tell everyone!!! ive been told to file a police report, absolutely disgusting he laughs when my child and i could have been dead today just sad

It seems matco cant keep up with there customers. Very poor customer service in ohio corp office.

Terrible Customer Service

Was billed and paid for item Matco stated was a 3rd party seller for them. Have never received item and Matco claims they do not know tracking or how to handle. It is a part sold through Matco and they will not help. Simply terrible service. Had to file a claim through credit card. Will never buy another Matco product.

I will never buy Matco tools again

I will never buy Matco tools again. My tool truck guy was the worst and never had what I wanted. I got a tool box from him that came with broken bumpers and after a year or two they never got replaced and he now quit. My tool truck guy also paid late and hurt my credit all the while he was serving us. I fell behind by a few hundred dollars and they threatened to send me to court. T hey also would not work with me to setup a fair plan to not continue to hurt my credit. they would only do it for more than i could pay in order to set up a plan. SO now I only pay around 200 a month but it isnt enough and they continue to mark my credit every month I dont pay back around 20 dollars more. Words company ever.

terrible online store. No Canada listed for shipping. Log into find a dealer nothing. But i talked to a dealer in a truck at strip mall and he said he cant just come sell me tools i have to go thru on line. I think either the liberals or Canada post must have bought matco for them to be this bad at business

I HAVE BEEN A TRUE MATCO CUSTOMER FOR MANY YEARS. BUT I RECENTLY NEEDED A TOOL REPLACED AND WE DO NOT HAVE A MATCO DEALER IN MY AREA. WE HAD ONE BUT HE FELL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH AND NEVER TOLLD US HE WAS RETIRING. I CALL MATCO HEAD QUARTERS IN STOW OHIO. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO TOOL DEALER IN MY AREA AND THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME. SO I WAS ADVISED IF I WANTED THE TOOLS REPLACED I COULD BRING THEM TO HEAD QUARTERS AND THEY WOULD TAKE A LOOK AT THEM. I GUESS MATCO DOES NOT WANT MY BUSINESS ANYMORE SEEING HOW I HAVE PURCHASED OVER 40K OVER 20 YEARS. SO MATCO CAN SHOVE IT UP THERE DUPA.

I purchased a tool box in 2018 and have…

I purchased a tool box in 2018 and have set up automatic weekly withdraws from my checking account, it is now 2023 and today I received a credit alert for 3 months past due. I received NO phone call from Matco stated there is a problem with my payment. I contacted the company and they stated 'my bank stopped paying in May'. I contacted my bank and the last payment request was made on 5/1/2023. My bank also shows NO payment denials (so I'm confused). I have also verified my debit card is the same number and that it has not expired. This account has been current and payments have been made since 2018. This morning I called and was told I have a 1 min. wait time, I was on hold for at least an hour. When someone did answer I let them know I wanted to make a payment to bring my account current and they took my S.S. # and disappeared, this happened 3 times. The customer service for this company is the worst I have ever dealt with in my 57 years of existence. I will NEVER purchase another Matco product.

I had some things come up that…

I had some things come up that prevented me from working. I called matco to try to get in a plan so I didn't get too far behind. They told me I had to be behind on my payment before we could set anything up. Now my only option is to pay $350+ on top of my monthly payment or lose my box. I tried getting ahead of this so I didn't have to stress or worry about one more thing.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Bill your representative is rude and lies.
He sold a scanner to me that was supposed to be faster. Never could get it to work properly there is little or no tech support. Bill took scanner to try and resell so I could recover some of my money. He never tried to sell it then he came in demanding money, I told him no and he became very rude, I asked him to leave and never come back unless he has money for me.
