A terrible terrible experience !!!

A terrible terrible experience with us Seniors losing about $14,000. Signed up for a Christmas Cruise on the Danube. Flights were very delayed and we missed our cruise (flight was booked by Mayflower). The worst thing...Mayflower provided us with NO HELP. We were ABANDONED and now we've lost a lot of money. They still continue to be of no help...now 3 wks later. They are the worst !!!

We booked a tour from Vegas to Denver…

We booked a tour from Vegas to Denver by bus and train in September 2024 for July 2025. In March 2025 Mayflower cancelled the tour because there was not enough participation for them to be profitable. Note that there was never any indication that this tour could be cancelled in any of their literature. Our booking agent told us that they had seen Mayflower cancel tours before. My complaint s are several. First, as I pointed out to Mayflower, they need to clearly state in their promotional materials that tours are not guaranteed to go until they have an adequate interest by other potential tourists. We had planned this tour for six months and had added on pre and post tour activities around the tour. Had we had any indication from Mayflower that a tour could be cancelled, we would not have booked with them to begin with and certainly not made additional plans around the tour. We were able to get refunds for all the other bookings except for just under $400 which we felt Mayflower should have reimburse. They were only willing to give us $400 credit for a future trip with them which we will never consider given the uncertainty of their trips taking place at all. Even as I write this complaint, Mayflower is still advertising the cancelled trip. Note that Mayflower has significant cancellation penalties on the traveler if travelers cancel a trip but apparently does not believe that they have any liability if they cancel a tour. I gave Mayflower several opportunities to make thing right with us prior to posting this note.

My wife and I got back from a tour…

My wife and I got back from a tour recently and we're helped along the way by the call center.
Unlike a lot of the people on our trip, we weren't in a group, but the tour operators and the call center were just as professional and helpful with us as they were with their bigger ticket passengers. We will be using Mayflower from now on

Mayflower Does not Want Travelers to Post Reviews

This company (Mayflower Cruises and Tours) will not allow past travelers to post evaluations of their tours on their web site.

Obviously, they don't want the truth to come out. Ken

NEW INPUT: It's interesting that Mayflower responded in such a negative manner. I am a long time customer and did take take a trip (Confirmation # 656972). By saying they don't recognize me is further proof of the issue. Ken

Thank you for verifying your trip with the confirmation number. The reason you were unrecognized is that it was booked in the name of "S" Barbi. At this time we have not heard any of your concerns and notice that the two of you are booked on future trips as well.

Before wanting a public discourse, would it be possible to contact us directly. As you will understand, posting or public reviews is not standard practice on any tour company site as it opens the door to public defamation and offers no manner of actual resolution.

If there was a problem with the tour, then we encourage you to reach out by direct method and address the concerns. The website has a contact form and provides multiple contact options for getting a response. Moreover, your travel agent would be the first and primary contact for any issue. Hopefully you have reached out to them.
