We have had a McDonald's cylinder for 8 years storing hot water from a solid fuel stove in winter, solar panels in summer and topped up via a gas boiler as required.

Recently a problem relating to the overheat radiators and solar panel system led to a call to McDonald's for advice. Bruce was fantastic, taking the time to listen, checking photos and calling back as promised. His clear advice gave me the confidence to make an adjustment which has solved the problem. I am chuffed to bits!

It's rare these days to find good technical advice at the end of the phone, so many thanks to Bruce and well done McDonald's.

McDonald Water Storage have given me an out-standing service through Covid-19 lockdown. From the guys in the office with the technical knowledge and organising deliveries, to the production team getting cylinders out to me within a 2 day turn around. This is a great company to buy from. the staff are all very helpful and fully understand the product they are selling. The support and information has been very good all through the Corona Virus Lock-down. My tank was damaged by the courier, McDonald dealt with this fantastically.

I had a leaky boiler and i called up and got put through to bruce i told him my issues and he asked all the appropriate questions and got straight to the point no beating around the bush. Bruce kept in touch as and when he needed to until the purchase and after to male sure everything went ok. He even put me through to a local boiler engineer to install it for me for a good price. Very professional and helpful i would definitely use the company again if ever needed.

Deal with these guys all the time and their flexibility, knowledge and expertise is 2nd to none…nothing is to much for them and customer service is brilliant, I always highly recommend them whenever the situation arises and will continue to do so

The sales team pulled out all the stops to ensure I had the parts I required to repair a DHW cylinder. Delivery was not guaranteed for Saturday morning and considering the circumstances we are under at the moment did arrive Saturday. Well done and Thank you.

Cannot fault McDonalds. Frome design to delivery I felt they knew exactly what I needed and delivered. My only gripe was the delivery company and their unwillingness to deliver it any closer to the property than the kerb they parked up on. Would McDonalds again and recommend

Long overdue review.
I recalled contacting McDonald's late on a Friday afternoon last year and spoke with Bruce Simpson. I hardly knew what we needed and instead of rushing me to get off for his weekend, he took the time to advise and guide me through the options. He promised to send me some information which he did straight away. Normally one has to wait until after the weekend and chase it up the following weeks!
From ordering to installing the THERMflow 250 boiler model storage system, we dealt with Bruce. We found him to be extremely helpful and very patient.
With doing the self build, we encountered many difficult situations not just with the build but with service providers which left us wondering why we embarked on the project. It isn't often to encounter the level of service and commitment we had from Bruce and his team and for this we are very grateful.
We’re happy to say that we’re now residing in our new home and are very happy with the product.

We fitted a 340 litre Cubeflow multifuel store last summer, so lived with it a year now. It works very well indeed, better than my expectations. The chaps at Macdonalds were very helpful in tweaking the design and we got exactly what we needed. It stratifies beautifully and it has saved us hundreds of pounds in fuel bills so far.

I would say that you need to do a lot of research and understand your exact needs before ordering. They will build to whatever you ask, but you have to ask for exactly the thing you need.

We specified a PHE for the hot water, and in fact we have tweaked the supplied system a bit to optimise it. We also after a few months retrofitted a 2nd PHE for the central heating, and this was a big improvement in performance. But it needs some design and a fairly well considered control system.

So I would absolutely recommend a Macdonald store, but take the time to know what you want before ordering.

Great customer service from start to finish & exceptional technical advice. I have fitted a couple of thermal stores, an Electraflow & a hot water cylinder from McDonald water storage, they were all manufactured from copper to a very high standard & worked really well.
