Get into Medicine Conference
I found the conference to be quite valuable to help me establish an understanding of the requirements to get into medicine.
I learned plenty of important information without which I may have struggled to find, and the people presenting did a good job showing how the process works with simple slides that weren't overly complicated and were clear in what they were trying to convey.
I also appreciated that there were medical students explaining how they went through the application process, as questions could be put to them to find out more about their experiences preparing for and following the medical application process.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend it to any aspiring doctors.

The Medic Mentor Get Into Medicine Conference was genuinely really helpful and informative! It explained the whole medical school application process in a way that actually made sense, especially things like the UCAT and interviews -which can feel overwhelming. What I really loved was their specific, detailed advice on how to tailor your extracurriculars and even your personal statement! I recently attended a virtual conference held by medic mentor regarding careers in medicine. The conference was around 4 hours long with 5 ten minute breaks and Q & A sessions. The entire conference was extremely informative consisting of specific detail that may not be known to individuals outside the medical profession e.g. competent personal statements , how to tackle and prepare for UCAT exams. The doctors were extremely hospitable, friendly and took the time to answer a lot of questions. I recommend attending at least one virtual conference if you are interested in medicine or just figuring out what career you want to pursue.

Very pushy!!
The get into medicine was good. But they were so pushy to buy 3000+ summer school. Like they acted as if I would never get into medicine if I didn’t come. It’s made me very anxious and sad. Plus I’m worried to spend money looking at some other reviews about the company

Students are guaranteed a place on our Silver and Gold pathways for free if they meet our widening access criteria (which is a lot less strict than elsewhere)

We also paid for hundreds of UCAT question banks and gave these away for free to widening access students last year, along with free UCAT teaching. This year we will be providing hundreds more.
This is only achievable thanks to some students who want to enrol onto fee paying programmes, for which we are grateful. It is not in our interest to 'push' students to enrol onto mentoring programmes that they do not want to, because the mentors don't enjoy it and neither do the students. Our approach is to provide students with information about what is available so that they can make an informed decision for themselves. We do not believe that the only way to get into Medical School is through a Medic Mentor programme. It just so happens that tens of thousands of students enjoy using our resources every year, and they might want to recommend them to others.
In addition, there are lots of resources available through various providers (which are also good) and we don't believe in reinventing the wheel, so whilst we take a holistic approach, we don't want to detract from other providers by doing the same thing. The abundance and variety of support that now exists is great because it means that students have a wide choice - inside and outside of Mentorverse. No matter which resources our students use, they are all valued Medic Mentor and Mentorverse students, to us.

It’s perfect for students who have a passion for the medical field. I learnt a variety of things such as, how applications work, what universities are looking for and what it takes to succeed as a doctor.

I was debating a career in medicine so…
I was debating a career in medicine so I attended Medic Mentor's Get Into Medicine conference. I'm so glad I did! It was full of information that I didn't know, how to apply to medical school successfully, all the resources I can get to help me become a doctor. I'm going to access there work experience next and attend their Virtual Medical Society.

I truly appreciate the support
I truly appreciate the support and mentoring that Medic Mentor provides. From the very beginning, the Get Into Medicine Conference helped me realise that medicine was the right path for me. I would strongly recommend this conference to anyone considering a career in medicine. The fact that it’s free and that my parents could attend with me made it even more valuable and reassuring. It was incredibly helpful and informative.
I’ve also taken part in other programmes offered by Medic Mentor. Although these do have a small cost, they are excellent value for money and absolutely worth every penny. The quality of guidance and resources they provide is outstanding.
I would highly recommend Medic Mentor to anyone thinking about a career in medicine. Their support, insight, and encouragement make a real difference.
