Collecting PROMs has been an ambition of the London ENT Clinic to demonstrate the effectiveness of treatments in patients with ENT conditions. Not only is this good medical practice, but it ensures, the clinician is up to date with recent treatment guidelines. It also provides robust information to governing bodies such as the Care Quality Commission and GMC that high-quality medicine is being practised in line with current teaching. PROMS are a powerful set of data for the annual clinician Appraisal and goes towards the revalidation of Practitioners with the GMC.
Previously the manual collection of PROMS was tedious, time consuming and many patients failed to engage with the process.The introduction of MedQ has been revolutionary to our clinic. It is a very user-friendly and simple platform which requires no formal training to use. The functions are intuitive and it is possible to send a series of assessments in the future at the click of a button.
