MeloLingua is a language-learning app designed to help people speak with more confidence through short, engaging stories. Instead of memorizing isolated vocabulary or completing repetitive exercises, learners practice languages in context. MeloLingua combines reading, listening, speaking and interactive exercises around stories inspired by everyday situations such as travel, work, relationships and daily life. Learners can listen to natural pronunciation, tap words to understand their meaning, practice speaking aloud, rebuild sentences and test their comprehension. The goal is to help vocabulary and expressions become easier to remember because they are learned inside meaningful situations rather than as disconnected word lists. MeloLingua supports learners at different levels and offers practice across multiple languages, including Spanish, French, English, German, Italian and Portuguese. We are a small independent team building MeloLingua with a strong focus on making language practice simple, enjoyable and useful in real conversations. We continuously improve the platform based on feedback from our learners. MeloLingua is available online and on mobile, so learners can practice for a few minutes each day wherever they are. Our mission is simple: help people move from understanding a language to actually feeling confident using it.

What I like most is that when I click…

What I like most is that when I click on a word, I don’t just get the translation. I also get an example and some grammar context, which helps me understand why and how the word is used.
Another feature I find super useful is being able to build my own story based on my daily routine. It makes the vocabulary much more relevant to my life and helps me remember new words in a much more natural way.
I’m learning Spanish, and I find this really useful for making language learning more practical, personal, and engaging.

The last update made this app really cool

The last update made this app really cool. Short stories makes vocabulary much easier to remember, especially with the speaking practice.
I also had a small issue and the support replied in less than 10 minutes and was really helpful. I appreciated a lot

The short stories were built around exactly that idea: vocabulary sticks better inside a story you actually want to finish. Really good to hear it’s working that way for you, and that the speaking practice is helping too.

Different from other language apps

I discovered Melolingua recently and honestly I really like the idea.

I tried a lot of language apps before but here it feels a bit different because you learn with short stories and real situations, not just random words all the time.

I like that you can click on words when you dont understand something and also listen and practice speaking. It makes it easier to remember for me.

There is still few things that can be improved because I think the app is quite new, but overall really enjoying it so far. Curious to see how it evolves 🙂
