Targeted Enforcement With No Flexibility Whatsoever

Parked at Elms Parc Retail Park while on crutches with a ruptured Achilles tendon, wearing a medical boot. I used an accessible bay due to significantly reduced mobility.

Despite providing clear photographic evidence and medical documentation, the appeal was rejected solely on the basis that no Blue Badge was displayed.

Under the Equality Act 2010, service providers are expected to make reasonable adjustments for individuals with disabilities, including temporary mobility impairments. In this case, the enforcement process appears to rely on a rigid, one-size-fits-all rule with no meaningful consideration of genuine circumstances.

The setup at this location — including targeted cameras on accessible bays — suggests a highly automated and inflexible approach. While it may be legally compliant, the lack of discretion shown here feels unreasonable and driven more by revenue than fairness.

Scum bag company

Parked up for 5 minutes at 8:13 put disabled badge in the window of the car. They then send picture of the car at 8:13 and four picture at 8:18 when we was leaving and the badge put away for exit. Appealed it and sent them pictures of both badges we have with the badge actually matching the name of car owner too. Say oh we can reduce it to £20.
Funny how the pictures from 8:14.8:15.8:16 8:17 are missing with it on display.
Total scum bag rip off company

1 star. Even don't care McDonald’s and They put me all around chasing.

Very poor experience with both McDonald’s Bow and MET Parking Services.

I am a regular customer and visited for breakfast as usual. During my visit, the men’s toilet was out of order, so I had to wait for staff assistance to use another toilet. This caused delay outside my control.

When I returned to my car and tried to leave, a McDonald’s delivery truck blocked the exit. Because the car park is too small and badly managed, I could not exit immediately.

Despite being a genuine paying customer and delayed because of their own site issues, I received parking charge.
Parking Charge Appeal – AB33153255

Neither McDonald’s nor MET Parking Services seem to care about customer service or fairness. It feels like they only care about money.

Very disappointing treatment of loyal customers. I will not be returning.

I do not know how they can get away with this to make people pay hundred pounds just because they visit McDonald’s for food for 20 minutes even though it’s one hour free parking
I think it should be sorted as soon as possible with clear sign and make sure people know what to do
Very bad experience, unfortunately

Absolute Joke !!

Parking charge given after staying over in a Mcdonalds car park with strong mitigating circumstances

Did not care about appeal and evidence given even though it was a legitimate reason, They also have pages and pages of made up pre written evidence as to why the charge should apply which they submit to POPLA or BPA when challenged.

Fined £100 for using their client’s own car wash and vacuum — with bank statement proof

On 14 March 2026 I visited BP Hammersmith Flyover (Talgarth Road) to use the car wash and vacuum facilities. I paid for the car wash inside the BP shop (Flyover Connect S/STN, charged to my Amex), queued behind other cars waiting for the wash, used the wash, then moved directly to the on-site Nayax vacuum machine and paid for that too (Mastercard, timestamped 07:30 AM). I have two bank statement transactions proving I was a paying customer using BP’s own services the entire time.
MET Parking’s ANPR cameras recorded my vehicle entering at 07:05 and leaving at 07:58 — 52 minutes. They issued a £100 charge for exceeding a 30-minute maximum stay. A 30-minute limit at a site with a car wash and vacuum service that requires queuing is not only unreasonable, it is a deliberate trap for genuine paying customers.
I have filed a formal appeal with full bank statement evidence, a request for their ANPR calibration records, a copy of their landowner contract, and copies of all signage. I have also reported this to BP’s corporate customer services and filed a complaint with the British Parking Association.
This is not an isolated incident — search online and you will find dozens of identical cases at BP sites managed by MET, going back years. The business model is simple: fine the very customers your client is trying to attract. BP and McDonald’s should be aware that MET is actively destroying their customer relationships.
Do not pay without appealing. Do not admit you were the driver. Go straight to POPLA if MET reject you.

My experience with MET Parking Services…

My experience with MET Parking Services has been extremely disappointing and unfair.

I received a £100 parking charge (which was later increased by an additional £70) while visiting Putney Leisure Centre — a facility where I have been a paying member for almost four years. Parking at this location is advertised as free for members of the leisure centre.

On the day in question I was driving a rental vehicle. As someone originally from Ukraine, my English is limited and I was not aware that the vehicle registration number had to be manually entered into a system to validate the parking. I simply parked in order to attend my training session at the gym, as I have done many times before as a legitimate member.

There was absolutely no intention to avoid payment or misuse the parking facilities. I was a genuine customer of the leisure centre using what is presented as free member parking.

Despite clearly explaining this in my appeal, MET Parking Services rejected it without showing any reasonable level of understanding or discretion. Instead of reviewing the situation fairly, the charge was escalated to £170. Faced with increasing pressure and additional costs, I was effectively left with no realistic choice but to pay.

This kind of approach raises serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of the system being used. Penalising genuine customers over a technical requirement that many people may not even be aware of — particularly visitors who may struggle with English — feels disproportionate and unreasonable.

Parking management should exist to manage parking spaces responsibly, not to generate revenue from honest mistakes made by legitimate visitors to local facilities.

Based on my experience, the appeal process appears to offer little genuine consideration of individual circumstances. Instead, it feels like a process designed primarily to enforce payment rather than fairly resolve disputes.

This situation has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. A system that punishes loyal customers of a community leisure centre over a minor technicality is deeply problematic and damages trust in the way parking enforcement is handled.

I strongly encourage the operators of this site and MET Parking Services to reconsider how they treat genuine visitors and long-term customers. My experience has been overwhelmingly negative.

Ignoring government legislation Equality act discriminating disabled people

Was being driven by a care worker stopped very early in the morning to go to disabled toilets as I have mobility issues care displayed badges within the Car area nine days later received a notice for penalty for not displaying badges picture of the car was approximately 25 foot away and had no clear vision of the dashboard or to see the budgies the Driver I only have his first name as day-to-day careers do not disclose their personal information or address
Would like to know how they source my personal information without my permission
As I know there is laws against this now
I now left with hours of trying to sort this out by Post because I can’t fill out the online challenge without a drivers full address which I’m unable to retrieve?
Will definitely not be using McDonald’s again I wonder if McDonald’s are aware of this or whether they’re actually bothered that customers that are vulnerable will not visit there franchise
We all know this type of parking notice is a scam and daylight robbery. It’s high time a court official did something about it just like they did with the Car finance scandal

This company is predatory. No clear service sign in the evening, in a deep winter's day in busy pre-Christmas

This company is predatory. We received a letter from them asked for fine of £60, if not paid in 14 days, it would increases to £100. We were surprised to see this. They accused us for having parked 15 exceeded their time limit of 90 mins.

They were completely unfair, no consideration of what was their role was as a service company to serve customers.

What happened was, we passed by and stopped at McDonald, Sutterton, Boston for a dinner on our way, on a very busy day pre-Christmas and when McDonald was so packed at about dinner time.

*There wasn’t a clear sign of parking time restrictions accessible to the users, from where we parked and the way to the McDonald’s entrance near 7pm on a winter’s day pre-Christmas 2025.

*Neither was any signpost within the McDonald merchandise where customers could access a notice.

*Their parking restriction of 90 mins is completely irrational, unfair and unhumanised due to it hadn’t taken into account of seasonal usages. On the 22nd December 2025 at the above time of our arrival at the McDonald merchandise, just before Christmas when most people were on their ways of travelling home for Christmas, it was packed with so many customers waiting for using toilet, queuing for ordering food from the panel screens where there were only 3 panels, ordering and considering the food from the screens, then waiting for staff to serve at our table, picking up accessories such as tomato ketchup at a side counter, post-meal going to the toilet, each step took much longer than the off-peak seasons, that was out of customers’ control.

*Waiting at the queue at the toilet was extremely long, and queuing at the ordering panel took quite some time due to McDonald's brought some new items, it took us time to read and think.

*Waiting for staff to serve the order at our table, that was extremely long on that day, and picking up accessories such as tomato ketchup at a side counter with a queue.

*We ordered a big meal for several of us, it took us time to eat and went to the rest room afterwards before getting on the journey again.

*Their parking time restriction of 90 mins hasn’t considered how many people in a trip, and how much time that McDonald staff spent on making the meal and then serving to our table, especially when the McDonald merchandise was very crowded seasonally; in our case, it was extremely long. That was out of customers' control.

Couldn’t give no Stars

⭐ 1 star – Unfair and Inflexible

MET Parking issued a charge against us while we were genuine McDonald’s customers, despite my child having Type 1 diabetes, which required extra time to eat safely. Medical evidence was provided but ignored, and the situation was treated as a “gesture of goodwill” rather than a legal duty under the Equality Act 2010.

There was no signage or information explaining how to request extra time, yet we were later criticised for not doing so. The parking limit has since been increased, suggesting the original restriction was unreasonable. This feels like enforcement over fairness.

There is no adequate signage

There is no adequate signage at the car park or within McDonalds explaining the parking charges. At night, the car park signs are invisible.
This company is clearly using poor signage to ensure that it can issue fines.
It's not ethical and it should be illegal.
