Never use the tap in tap out

Never use the tap in tap out. I used it correctly for a single journey. Then 2 days later they tried to take £60 penalty from my account. Disgusting. Thankfully my bank blocked it. Emailed customer service as well, they dont care. The ticket inspectors did this as they were so rude to me when they checked my phone it didn't ping on their machine so I said you can see the transaction tfgm its in my google wallet!! In the end I had to use my actual card on the machine they had but they were so rude. So bad they think it's OK to do this. I will only ever use cash in future as they say it's in their terms and conditions that they can charge this!!! So don't give them your card number on the tap in tap out as its up to the ignorant nasty ticket inspectors if they charge you £60. I paid my fare. I have proof and it's fraudulent to try to take money from my account. 😡🤬

I’m sick to death of getting on the…

I’m sick to death of getting on the tram to Rochdale and the driver decides to talk over the speaker thing to tell us the trams going the other way now so you have to get of here wether it’s one stop or 4 stops away. It’s a mick take so sort it the fck out jokers.

Very unreliable

Very unreliable. Bury tram no longer running from St Peter’s square (!) then waiting 9 minutes for a tram in rush hour everyday. More expensive than London tube which runs every 2 minutes? Unacceptable. Will be driving in future.

What a terrible and horrible experience I had on the GO train going east as a first-time user. I received a notice of violation and was disappointed when asked for a WARNING as confirmed by other GO train users that they received. Upon providing proof of TTC payment for the fare transfer and rationale of missing the invisible tap machine, the Compliance Services Officer stated that she was SATISFIED with the Notice and I had to paid $37. NOT $35 as stated. This fee is unjust and a money grabber to the industry. Good luck if you want to dispute this fine as I tried for 2 days to make an in person appointment and to complete form. GO should STOP THIS! “Profit is deeply rooted in the world of business and too often associated with money-grubbing and GREED”. The rate should be a ZERO star based on my experience.

Unacceptable CS & not admitted their failure!

Unacceptable customer services from Metrolink as they refused to refund even though the Metro tram unable to provide any services for nearly 2 hours on 02-Mar-2024
They cockily said "We do always recommend allowing extra time to make any time critical journeys." and did not provide free bus to the station they stopped the services! Rubbish Metrolink CS.

Some random guy dressed in plain clothes demanded I put my card to his card machine. I refused he shown me some ID (Broken in half) like that's some kind of proof? Looks like a complete scam...Your staff are rude and treat paying customers like criminals and a lot of this is due to the tap on and off system. Eventually, the driver confirmed their identity but the fact that this has to happen at all is stupid. I wouldn't listen to a plainclothes officer let alone a glorified public transport bouncer. You treat the paying customers like criminals and the actual fare dodgers just get off anyhow.

Oh! And I love the bit where they block doors to wind up everyone else on the tram to pressure you to get off because they know they can't lay hands on you. Scummy behavior. Is it that hard to get the driver to confirm they are real workers? Shouldn't be but it took them long enough and I won't be bullied into doing something.

Rip off prices

Don't use the tap in and out option on metrolink. I used it last week and was over charged.I go from Eccles to Broadway seeing as it no longer goes to media city and it costs £1.90 return. Last week I was charged £6 because it didn't register my tapping out on return journey. It charged me £1.40 for my morning journey but £4.60 for the return. They must be making a fortune doing this everyday.

You're still incompetent at running a tram service. Let someone else have a go ffs please. From me to you: you completely suck at it. I can reccomend some overachieving primary kids if you need a new C-suite. Open offer.

Why am i paying for?

Tram stops for a second, back door doesn’t open, the guy doesn’t even wait 2 seconds so you can run to the other door that he leaves. The Eccles line is an absolute joke and it has been for years.

Was in Manchester for a utd game with…

Was in Manchester for a utd game with my daughter. Paid for a adults and a child’s ticket return (15 yr old daughter) received two tickets out of machine taught one adults and one child but as I was walking away from machine realised wasn’t a ticket but two receipts. Talked to a metro guys on duty told him what happened and also the receipt on my phone banking. He changed ticket I had with pen to adult + 1 child and signed some code what a gentleman he was. Then as we getting back on tram in old Trafford same guy said how did we get on with ticket and did we have nice time at the game. This man gave me a belief that there’s good ppl out there. Not sure if his name but code he signed was CSR 1117 metro link this man deserves credit and is a credit to your business

Extremely efficient at being unreliable…

Extremely efficient at being unreliable and tardy with time keeping. Altrincham line is by far the worst. Stopping multiple times to allow trams to pass, stopping for anywhere between 2-5 minutes at a time, a minimum of three times on the way.

Metrolink too quick to cut service

This operator is way too quick to cut and remove services with co plate ignorance to inconvenience.

I have numerous times made complaints about service loss and subsequently having to get taxis and alike and the response is “shrug shoulders”. No refunds and in a lot of cases, no acknowledgement that there was any reported disruption.

Two trams arrive at Manchester Victoria…

Two trams arrive at Manchester Victoria on Sunday 2nd July around 17.45 and 18:00.

Neither has room on it to collect the passengers waiting because the incompetant company sends single carriages.

To say its not much older than 10 years and it is already failing.....

I'm a disabled customer with emphysema that requires a little room to breath but this tram fails to leave any room at all.

Horrible replacement system

I’m a student who uses metro link to get home as I live far away from school. The bury line wasn’t in work today so I had to be dropped off. After school was even worse however. The tram broke down for 20 minutes in the middle of the track. This tram wouldn’t even get me home. To get the bury replacement bus there was 1 staff at the stop to tell me very vague directions to a replacement bus stop. I had to wait for bus 135 but after 6 full buses I still can’t get home. I’ve currently been waiting for more than 2 hours and there is still no sign of a bus coming soon.

Update: I’m finally on the bus after waiting a total of 3 hours and I’ll have to walk 30 minutes to get home as the stops are no where near the tram stops
