Being lactose intolerant used to mean giving up milk, dairy foods and the important nutrients, minerals and vitamins they provide. The Milkaid range of products contain lactase enzyme, a safe natural enzyme that is usually found in the digestive system. New Vanilla Milkaid
Very, very happy to say that the new vanilla flavour is very palatable (as is the new formula raspberry) worlds apart from the horrid chemical aftertaste raspberry that was the initial offering from Milkaid when they changed their ingredients. So pleased that they listened to all of the negative feedback and DID something about it! If you stopped using Milkaid because of the horrid aftertaste please try them again you won’t be disappointed! 🥳

So I tried the new vanilla flavour and loved it. The raspberry ones are probably my favourites but there is an excellent crunchiness about both these newer versions that makes having to take them a much more pleasurable experience than previous ones. This company likes to respond to their customer needs and I really appreciate that so much in this world of lactose intolerance.

Very happy with the new formula…
Very happy with the new formula raspberry flavour. A lot closer in flavour and texture to the previous old formula - I had a few old ones in a drawer. I found that one tablet is enough for me.
I also tried the junior strawberry flavour but wasn’t as keen, children may prefer them. Thank you for the samples.

New Formula
The initial change in tablets was not at all to my liking and I was quite disappointed with the new flavour, however Milkaid reached out to me and have offered to try some new flavours and formulas they are trying. I have so far only tried the new formula, which although is alright, it is a lot harder to chew that before and has a stronger rasperry flavour, which doesn’t go well with most things. however, the change is not as bad as it was last time and I am excited to try the new vanilla flavour.
in terms of how well they work, they are practically the same as the old ones, except it says the dose is 2 tablets despite a singular tablet having the exact same amount on enzymes as the old type. So I am sticking to how I have always used them.

I’m over the moon with this product
I’m over the moon with this product, Being there’s only one company that sells Lactose free semi skimmed milk which I won’t buy from anymore this was suggested to me to turn normal milk into lactose free milk, I was sceptical at first but it actually works, so now I can buy fresh semi skimmed organic normal milk and just add the drops, just wished the bottle was see through so I could see how much was left, but apart from that I’m one very happy bunny, and will be using constantly, so thank you Milkaid 👍

The new tablets taste better, but are thicker. I prefer the thinner tablets, but with the new taste. Would choose the new tablets over the old ones.

I'm not sure about the new formula
I like Milkaids, they definitely work well for me.
I recently received their new formulation of the Adult Raspberry Chewables for free. I wouldn't really say its an improvement. It's okay, but I honestly preferred the previous version. These are veeeeeeery powdery. Like have you ever tried to chew a glob of powdered sugar? The flavour seems to be sweeter than previous versions with a faint raspberry flavour. I normally take 6 at a time, but I only took one to test (as I still have old packs I want to get through first) and I not sure how I'd feel with all that powder in my mouth at once... For their effectiveness its definitely 5/5 stars, but when comparing the old version to the new one (which is what they asked me to do) its 3/5, maybe even 2/5 if i ignore the effectiveness. Overall, I'll still continue to use Milkaid as I like being able to have lactose when I want, but I'm not sure this new formula is an improvement

New formula same problem as the last new formula…
I used to take the original Milkaid tablets several times a day, never left home without them. But then about a year ago they changed the ingredients to ‘improve’ the formula and put sorbitol in, this is a trigger for many people with IBS who follow a low FODMAP diet. I wrote to them and complained explaining this. Recently they updated their ingredients and offered me some samples of the new tablets, I was very excited to get my “magic tablets” back. Thankfully they had removed the sorbitol. But after a day of eating them with ice cream and cheese and milk I found my stomach was hurting a lot. Re-read the ingredients and realised they’d swapped the sorbitol for maltodextrin, another high fodmap trigger. So that’s that then, they are no use to me. I wish they hadn’t changed the original formula. They explained to me that it was to accommodate diabetics which is fair enough, but they could just take out the sugar and the flavour. The flavour is unnecessary anyway and just makes what ever you eat it with taste funny. Raspberry flavoured cheese is horrible until the raspberry flavour goes away. I don’t need a tablet to taste nice, I need it to work. Luckily for me I no longer need Milkaid as I found Natural Lactase Enzyme by Best Naturals which do the job without adding any triggering ingredients and they don’t make food taste funny either. If Milkaid bring back a tablet without any FODMAP triggers I will still go back to them as I like the convenience of chewable tablets and they eased the pain for many IBS triggers not just lactose, but unless they send me them to try again I’m unlikely to go looking for them as other tablets work better currently.

They actually do work!
I’ve been using Milk Aid for a while! When The new formula came out a few months ago I was really disappointed with the texture so I contacted Milk Aid to let them know. They then informed me they were changing the tablets to a newer formula and sent me out a sample. They’ve taken the feedback on board and the newer formula seems to be spot on 👏 Thankyou so much for listening to the feedback regarding the texture and for going above and beyond to ensure your customers are happy. The latest formula is better than the…
The latest formula is better than the “new and improved formulation” that was the worst but non as good as the original. The strawberry junior flavour is probably the closest to the original in terms of sweetness!
Most people that are lactose intolerant are usually consuming a dessert that contains dairy 🥛 which was why the original was fine. The people who complained that the tablets was too sweet should have just purchased a plain lactase enzyme tablet. Just bring back the original formula.
