I spent a lot of money on a garden dining table and chair set.
It was sold as hard wearing and weather proof. Within a month the wood cracked, i emailed and rang but had no response at all. I then bought an expensive cover to protect the furniture for winter. To realise with horror that upon removing the cover the table is totally rotton, green and mouldy. Far from hardwearing and weather proof. I will have to attempt a charge back through my credit card company as im having no luck trying to communicate with these cowboys. Avoid avoid avoid. I shall upload photos if possible of my table which is only a few months old, most of which has been covered.
Poor Customer Service
I’m really disappointed with the lack of customer service from Moda Furnishings.
I’ve emailed multiple times over several weeks regarding a faulty furniture cover purchased earlier this year and still haven’t received any reply or acknowledgment.
I’ve spent close to £3,000 with Moda this year and expected better after-sales support. The products themselves look great, but the service after purchase has been extremely poor.
I’ve now had to escalate this matter formally under the Consumer Rights Act and through my credit card provider, which is very disappointing for a company of this size.
I would still like this resolved directly, but at this point I’ve lost confidence in the customer-service process.

It’s a shame I couldn’t leave a zero review as a one star is far too much. This company is despicable and best avoided at all costs. We ordered furniture in June but received no delivery updates. After 10 weeks of chasing, I put the £861 in dispute with my credit card company. They contacted Moda who then tell the credit card company that they had tried to contact us by email and telephone to arrange delivery. They had the incorrect telephone number, and probably deliberately so! Moda also sent copies of emails they had purportedly sent me trying to arrange a delivery date. These emails were totally fictitious - why would any company go to such great lengths to create bogus emails?? Because of this, the credit card company filed in Moda’s favour and we are still fighting our case. Georgina, from Moda, contacted us and I really thought it had all been sorted, she even said that she couldn’t find an email trail for us, so in fact confirming indirectly that the copied emails sent to the credit card company had been totally made up. She promised that a refund was on the way and to check my card company. Well, surprise, surprise no refund had ever been submitted - this was 3 weeks ago now and Georgina is no longer responding to texts sent directly to her mobile number or answering phone calls. This was a lady I totally trusted to get the job done. She even said she had had the refund signed off by her director. I am now going to pursue this through legal channels. Companies like this should not exist.
BUYER BEWARE - NO HELP WITH BROKEN PARASOL
BUYER BEWARE. This company offers a 7 year guarantee but went bankrupt in 2023 and customer services told me today that they are not honouring any fault claims for items purchased before their bankrupty date! I purchased a full half moon set with a Cantilever parasol. The Cantilever parasol has broken due to poor quality fixings so it swings like a pendulum & is highly dangerous - I called Moda today to see if they offer a repair service which they don't but they advised they still have the exact same model in stock so I could buy another one at full price - I DON'T think so. Why would anyone buy from this company when the goods are not fit for purpose. I purchased another outdoor set from Costco with Sunbrella fabric at the same time and the difference in quality is like night & day. Moda stuff looks good upon delivery but you will spend an awful lot of time and effort trying to make sure it stays nice and the quality is poor for the price.

NEVER EVER AGAIN will I buy from Moda Furnishings. I will also tell all my friends and family the same!
Highly recommend and ask for Gary
We were recommended by a friend to have a look at the Moda Furnishing Clearance warehouse. Gary was so helpful and we managed to buy 2 chairs which we are so pleased with. Gary arranged delivery within a couple of days and the guys delivering the chairs were excellent. We are really pleased and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for garden furniture.

Brilliant outdoor furniture outlet, loads of choice, spoilt for choice in fact! Pip and the chaps were super helpful on the four times I visited and also responded to messages through Facebook. Highly recommend.
Delivered on time and good…
Delivered on time and good communication as promised by the lads. Courteous and friendly service. I have some issues with what was delivered which I am taking up with Moda directly but couldn’t ask for more from Gary and Greg in terms of delivery.

James and Michael delivered our Halo garden furniture, having called ahead to say they would be 20mins late . Put the furniture together quickly and were very helpful advising about various points as they were assembling. Even pointing out that the corner unit had a twist to it so couldn’t be attached to the next piece . James took photos and advised me what to do . Hoping for a hot summer

Thanks to the friendly and helpful Gary and Greg who delivered our furniture in the freezing cold this morning. All seems to be packed very well and when the weather warms up we can open boxes and enjoy our lovely new garden furniture. Well done Gary and Greg
Good Product, Terrible Service
TL:DR - Don't expect to have your order turn up without chasing them
So here is my account of my ongoing saga with Moda Furnishings.
After a lot of research online, and a visit to their showroom in Manchester, I placed an order with Moda back on the 15th June 2021 for an outdoor seating set, and stone table with a firepit in the centre - from their Halo range.
The sales guy was really helpful, and went through all of the customisation options. He even gave us a little discount in the showroom.
We didn't like the look of the glass in the firepit, so paid for the optional lava rocks to replace the glass, which comes as standard.
On ordering, we were advised that the lead time on the furniture was 6-9 weeks, and the lava rocks were slightly longer at 10-13 weeks, but not to worry, they would send the furniture first, and then arrange for a second delivery for the lava rocks. We were told that we didn't need to do anything, that the delivery team would be in touch as soon as the items came into stock.
So we waited. And waited. And waited.
9 weeks came and went, so I called customer service, and was told that there had been some logistical delays, our furniture was now going to be another 4 weeks. After asking why they had not contacted me to let me know, and getting a very non-committal answer, I was compensated with another small discount.
So again, I waited... nothing.
Again I called up, some of the furniture was in stock, but not all of it. I can't exactly remember what was missing, but it was pretty essential to the function (cushions, or something like that). I was asked whether I wanted what they had in stock delivered, but there was no lead time on the missing items, and rather than have an unusable set in my garden, I refused, and said that I wanted the furniture delivered together. Again, I asked why it kept taking me calling to get updates on the status of my furniture that I had already paid them in excess of £4000 for. Another very obscure answer, and a bit more money off.
I waited.
Another 2 weeks passed by, and the summer (for what it was last year) had already slipped away (it was now October), perhaps we could enjoy some autumn evenings? I called up a third time. This time, the items were in stock, but not the lava rocks. At this point I was pretty annoyed - "you mean you've had them in stock and you didn't dispatch them to me right away?? I've been waiting 5 months!!".
The guy that I spoke to was pretty dismissive, and really didn't seem bothered about the breakdown in their process. On pressing, he reluctantly offered me a voucher to spend with them or a few scatter cushions. I accepted the cushions - surprise surprise, there was a 6 week lead time on them! He arranged for the furniture to be delivered, they would be back in touch when the cushions and lava rocks were available to be delivered, delivery lead time was another 10 days.
The guys that came to deliver and assemble the furniture were awesome - very friendly, courteous & helpful - I have nothing negative to say about them. We were missing a clip for the safety glass which surrounds the fire pit, so I had to call customer service again. They promised to send a replacement, which arrived 3 weeks or so later.
We sat out there twice, due to the delay in getting the set delivered, then the cover went on for the winter, and I didn't think about it again... until this week when the weather finally changed for the better. I took the cover off and got the seat cushions out of storage, and though "hang on... where are my lava rocks and scatter cushions???"
It's now 9 months after my original order, and there are still bits missing!! A human can grow a baby in less time than it's taken Moda Furnishings to produce some lava rocks & scatter cushions!!!!
Again I call customer service, and am told "good news, they're in stock!", my response was "well, I should hope so, given how long I've waited!"
I was told that my order would go to their delivery department, who would arrange for them to be sent. This time, I didn't even get an attempt at an answer as to whether they would have ever contacted me to arrange delivery had I not called them! That was 4 days ago - I'm still waiting.
Needless to say, I won't be ordering from this lot again!

Mike and Chris who delivered the beautiful furniture were outstanding. They were friendly, courteous and kind and nothing was too much trouble for them. A great asset to the company!

We visited the Caterham store in April and were impressed with the variety of stock they had in. We ended up buying something completely different to what we thought we would and it had an expected delivery date of 12-14 weeks. Moda were great at keeping us up to date and it ended up being delivered early by Mark C and Danny N. The chaps were great, we had quite a lot of stuff and ideally it needed to go in the gazebo at the bottom of a large garden. I’d expected them to say no and for it to be left on the drive but nothing was too much trouble. They were great chaps and we’re over the moon with our furniture. We’ll definitely buy from Moda again.

Excellent customer service, kept well informed when our product went out of stock. Delivery from Manchester to Hertfordshire by John and Paul was faultless. They reassured me by text and phone call that my delivery would be made to a safe place even though I had completely forgotten they were delivering that day! The item was v large and heavy and they went above and beyond and delivered it into my garden with no complaints. Thank you v much.
