Review of Modala Beach Resort
The resort is beautifully situated with a stunning white sand beach and clear blue waters—a true highlight of the stay. The staff is consistently fabulous and very helpful, adding warmth to the experience.
The pool is fantastic: very clean and offering a wonderful view out over the sea, making it a perfect spot to relax.
As for the hotel itself, I would rate it a solid 4-star resort rather than 5-star. While the location is excellent and the facilities are good, the property is starting to show signs of wear and is not maintained to the level expected of a 5-star rating.
A few drawbacks:
• There is no fine dining restaurant on-site. Instead, the mall connected to the hotel is mostly souvenir shops and a 7-Eleven, which is convenient but limits the dining experience.
• The music played throughout the day is relatively loud, making the atmosphere less peaceful. For those seeking a quiet escape, this might be a downside.
On the positive side, the rooms are well-kept and retain much of their original charm. I found nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness and comfort here. Overall, the hotel itself is nice and its location is fantastic.
Would I stay here again? Maybe—especially if they toned down the music. That change would make a big difference in the overall impression.
