**Buyer Beware**
I originally purchased Monroe QuickStruts 3.5 years ago because they were highly recommended for my 2010 Toyota Corolla. They were recommended from the dealership because I didn't want to invest the money into buying Toyota parts since I wasn't sure how much longer that I would be keeping the car. They don't even last a few months. I push it to try to make them last a year and then do a warranty return because its a supposed lifetime warranty but I've been spending a fortune in labour costs with every install and then front wheel alignments thereafter. All of these labour costs have actually been more over time than had I just bit the bullet and bought the Toyota parts for the car! Well, after 3 consecutive returns, they put a limit on it being my final warranty return. All work done at the dealership, I was advised to contact Monroe Manufacturing in Michigan regarding a possible manufacturing defect, and instead of them offering any sort of empathy, they told me blatantly after reviewing my file, that Canadian Distributors, Retailers and customers have NO business at all using U.S. based products. I was completely shocked and dumbfounded at their response. I still am! Not only did he state it once, but he kept repeating it over and over half a dozen or so times. There's one thing to wipe your hands of a situation but there's another thing altogether to make such an intentional and direct statement such as this. Also, this statement came straight from management! I personally will never purchase products from Monroe again and I'm letting everyone know what you can expect and what Monroe Manufacturing thinks of Canadians! I'm Disgusted!
