After a slightly rocky start in regards to communication only, the service from Charlie was superb. I would definitely recommend Montpellier Legal but be sure to establish a proper reporting line with a name and direct contact dealing with your case. Once this was in place everything ran very smoothly and Charlie was excellent.

I sold my house and used Montpellier Legal for the conveyancing. I hadn't used them before but I was extremely pleased that I did!
Clare Hitching and her team are highly capable, very knowledgeable, very responsive and extremely efficient. In particular I would highlight Maisie Dyer as being all of the above. Montpellier Legal were the conveyancers on a recent house sale for me. They were truly professional and efficient from day one, utilising a combination of online forms and personal emails to guide me through the process and handled the vast majority of questions asked themselves which meant the completion was achieved in an incredibly short time. 100% recommended on all levels.

The team were friendly, yet professional, and answered every question we had thoroughly and in a (very) timely manner. Updates via their app helped us keep track but we knew the team were always at the end of a phone call or email if we needed them.

A special thanks to Kellyanne who held our hand throughout (this was our first house purchase) and truly went above and beyond to get the sale over the line, despite some challenging obstacles. We were in very safe hands!

We moved away from a long-standing local solicitor because we felt they had become slow, complacent and outdated.
We had heard good things about Montpellier Legal, and our initial telephone conversation with Dion was excellent. We were told that, as this was a chain-free purchase with no property to sell, we should expect completion in around 5–6 weeks if everything was straightforward. I took that timeframe with a pinch of salt, as I appreciate that these things rarely move quite that quickly.

After the initial onboarding, communication went very quiet for several months. We contacted the firm ourselves to ask whether there were any issues we should be aware of. There were some matters outstanding, but nothing that appeared particularly significant.

Another month or so passed before we were asked to provide funding information because we were apparently nearing the end of the process. Yet we still hadn't been provided with some of the key information we needed to review.

We eventually had to specifically ask for the searches and the TA6 and Fixtures & Fittings forms to be sent to us. We only knew to ask for these because of previous experience with property purchases.

We also had to ask twice for a completion statement.

In the end, what was supposed to be a straightforward chain-free purchase took over five months. We weren't particularly in a rush, but it was also nowhere near the 5–6 weeks we had initially been told.

We moved to Montpellier Legal hoping for a more modern, proactive experience. Sadly, our experience was much the same as with many traditional solicitor firms: slow and, at times, leaving us in the dark.

What made this most frustrating was the cost. We were charged significantly more than we had previously paid elsewhere — in fact, more than 100% more — for what ultimately felt like the same level of service.

There were some positives, particularly the initial contact with Dion, but overall the experience did not justify the additional cost.

I wouldn't use Montpellier Legal again and, based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend them.

Once again another superb service by Montpelier Legal, with special thanks to Connor and Abigail, they were professional and extremely helpful throughout the process. We can’t thank them enough. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Hennah and her colleagues were very responsive and accommodating, making my experience as a first time buyer so much less stressful! Super professional and managed to sort my purchase out much faster than I expected (especially when comparing to some of my friends horror stories)
