We had been talking about buying a Campervan for a couple of years but had never taken the plunge. Having googled campervans near us we came across Moorlake who are a Camper King dealership. We knew that Camper King had won some awards so decided to make this our starting point.
We had planned to look at a few different dealers but having visited Moorlake we rather impulsively (unusual for us) put a deposit down on ‘Ernie’ our two tone Campervan. Although lots to chose from we loved Ernie best. The show room was very well set up and helped us to visualise what owning a Campervan would be like, we had even brought our dog with us.
Harry and Paul from Moorlake were never pushy and always available to answer our questions, even when Paul was away on holiday.
The whole handover experience was thorough and detailed, we left knowing we knew what to do but feeling that we could ask Paul questions at any time.
We have been away in Ernie for a few weekends and he feels well made and of high quality. He coped well with heavy rain and a thunderstorm. The bed is very comfortable too.
We would highly recommend Moorlake for their friendliness, professionalism and attention to detail.

The place to buy a VW camper. Top notch service from extremely knowledgable folk. Paul at Moorlake is not just looking to make a sale, so much as patiently help navigate the variables of what is, for most of us, a big purchase decision (as well as an awesome lifestyle choice!). Highly recommended.

We purchased “Cherry Vandy” a T6 LWB camper van from Paul at Moorlake Hull in November 2024.

What can we say ….. We have had 3 short trips away since purchasing and have enjoyed each and every one of them ….. we are planning to do the NC500 in May this year and based on our experience thus far, we are very much looking forward to it.

What can we say about our experience with Moorlake and more specifically Paul ….. Couldn’t have dealt with a nicer guy, he was helpful, informative, enthusiastic and genuinely interested in our travel plans. There was no hard sell and Paul’s focus was on providing us the best vehicle to suit our needs. The whole experience of buying was a pleasure.

We would strongly recommend Moorlake as a company to deal with and will definitely look to use them again if we ever decide to change vehicles.

Having made our decision in principle to downsize from our motorhome to a campervan, and preferring a VW, we had done quite alot of homework, research and looking around ourselves.

It was then all about the detail and being realistic in the practicalities of what would work for us and ultimately, the compromises we would be happy with given how we wanted to use the campervan. Paul helped us work this through with his expert knowledge of the Camper King range and some practical solutions. We had follow up queries which Paul responded to quickly which enabled us to move forward. Our handover was faultless, with the necessary paperwork covered, van walk through and the ‘how to’ practical demonstrations to ensure we understood everything fully.

The added bonus is the real family van life experience Paul has, and loves, and we were able to chat and swap stories of our experiences and times away like we’d been friends for years. We’ve had our SWB Monte Carlo since Nov, and three months in and several great trips away (despite the weather!) we are having fun embracing the ‘less is more’ and are loving our new van.

Well done team Moorlake, for giving us the best friendliest, yet professional experience and customer service we’ve had with our vans, and thank you Paul for being our man in Yorkshire.

Paul was very helpful in making a few tweaks to my VW Kombi prior to delivering (on their trailer) to my house which was 3 hours away !

Wow, what a fantastic buying experience!!
I had already chosen a second hand VW Transporter Kombi that I was going to buy but decided to have a quick look at what the guys at Moorlake had. Not only was there the perfect brand new Transporter there but the whole process from test drive, to explaining the features, to making some custom changes, to paperwork to driving it home was an absolute breeze.

I had been looking at campervans/motorhomes for the past year and eventually decided on a VW transporter conversion which led me to CamperKing and Moorlake. After speaking to Paul Parker from the Hull branch an appointment was made for me to view the LWB Santorini and he even arranged to get a van that I liked transported from Watford to Hull.
I am now a very happy owner of this van and Paul and his sons who have years of campervan experience have passed on to me during handover useful information and advice regarding accessories etc. Altogether a very nice and friendly family business offering excellent customer service and selling top of the range VW campervan conversions.

Great honest friendly company to deal with.
From my first communication right up to collection day the customer service was just as it should be, fantastic.
Good clean van, competitve price, everything explained and demonstrated, the test drive was great, really well thought out too to give you different areas to drive uch as narrower roads, different road surfaces etc rather than the standard up and down a road.

Great experience buying new van and trading in - really smooth process and Ed/Vic were great to deal with.

We bought our VW Camperking conversion from Moorlake in March 2022. We had a fantastic experience at the time of the purchase. And have had many great times away in our van.
We have now bought ourselves electric bicycles and were struggling to get them up onto the high rack that we bought with the van.
After contacting Moorlake, Ed and John have made arrangements for us to have a tow bar fitted and advised us on a suitable cycle carrier to meet our needs and that still allows the tail gate to be opened while bikes attached.
Excellent after sales service, even though our original purchase was over 17 months ago!

Fantastic team with an honest approach to service, very refreshing.

Bought a fab camper from the team and was extremely happy with the end to end process. I have bought a lot of vehicles in the past and this was one of the nicer experiences. Really happy with the camper and a great pre sales and also after sales service when I had to check a few things.
