Best sales and purchasing experience I’ve ever had
Having worked in sales and customer service for over 25 years I can honestly say this was the best buying experience I’ve ever had! Friendly greeting at the door with a few questions about what we were looking for and left alone to look with no pressure whatsoever. Once we had found a car we liked it was a sit down with a cuppa and a chat, I was a little sceptical about PCP as was my wife as we have never bought an almost new car before. Jack was outstanding, explained everything to us and answered all of our concerns. We left with no pressure but with the reassurance that we understood everything and that we were confident this was the best way for us to get a new car. I called when home and put a deposit down on the car we’d seen and picked it up the week after (could have been sooner but this was best for us). What a refreshing experience! I highly recommend and will definitely use again

Don't Waste your time!
I would give zero stars if i could!!
I Booked a time slot today for 11:30 am I arrived at 11:15 am. I was greeted by a smart pleasant young man and asked if he could be of any assistance. I said i booked an appointment to sell my vehicle online and gave him my details. He said that he would contact whom it was that was meant to meet with me.
I sat waiting for someone for 25 Minutes!
I spotted the same chap that tried to help me earlier and asked if there was a problem to which he guided me to the reception and asked where my lead appointment was? The receptionist replied they were very busy. I said but i booked a time slot online? I was informed they had 11 customers to get through. I said this was a complete waste of my time! What was the point of booking a time slot when I had traveled 40 mile round trip to fit it in around my other scheduled appointments. A total including my Travel of 1 hr + 20 minutes of my life I will never get back.
I will never deal with this dealership in the future, and I will loudly speak of my experience.
I took my business elsewhere...

Collected the car and noticed a whirling sound both when driving and breaking took it in next day for inspection and told it did not happen while on a test run I drove the car back home from Chester le street to Sherburn and it happened 9 times so I have to take it back again not what you expect when I’ve just paid out nearly 11k for the car

Let down by lack of valeting.
Motorpoint Birtley was a pleasant place to buy and part ex a car. The person I dealt with, Faz, was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable, and was extremely patient when I had problems with my credit card. It was a pleasure doing business with him. However the reason I’m only giving 3 stars is because the car, upon pick up, had clearly not been valeted at all. Nor were a few chips to the paintwork attended to as I’d been assured would be the case. I have had to spend hours cleaning the interior and needed to buy a car vacuum cleaner and car cleaning products. Every single surface and crevice was not just dusty but really filthy. I dirtied multiple cloths. And the petrol filler area had to be seen to be believed, shockingly filthy! Motorpoint Birtley apparently use a 3rd party company to do their valeting. Well they are wasting their money and should change. But also they are giving themselves a bad reputation by not checking the standard of cleanliness before handing over a vehicle.

Amazing service from start to finish
Kate first greeted me in May 2025 when I went down to the Birtley showroom. My car had recently been written off due to a no fault claim and I was looking for a car but was unsure of exactly what I wanted from the off set Kate was so friendly and helpful.
I visited the showroom quite frequently over a number of months and kate was amazing and very approachable and it was a breath of fresh air to not have a pushy sales person. I eventually found a car i liked at the machester branch online and Kate was anazing throughout the whole transfer process. I did end up purchesing the car and had the pleasure of working with Kate from start to end. From start to finish, Kate provided exceptional service. She was knowledgeable about the vehicles, patiently answered all my questions, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Kate's professionalism and friendly demeanor truly stood out.
