Their reviews are completely unreliable. I picked a company they had rated top 3 at the time (2021) for a cross country move. They were rated best for accurate estimates. The company they recommended took a down payment from me after a video estimate of all the items I wanted to move and on the day of the move hiked the estimate by over 200 percent. I had to cancel the move and their highly recommended company refused to return me the down payment. I tried to leave a review on movebudda.com for the moving company and movebuddha.com never published my review. Makes me wonder if they rate companies for payments from the moving companies.

I would rate this company 0 star. We selected a "well-rated" moving company-Proud American from their website for our cross-state move. But it turned out to be a huge nightmare. Our stuff were picked up in California on July 22, and they stayed in some warehouse in California until August 17, and we were only told recently that the stuff will be coming our way in Texas. My friends who used another long distance moving company from California to Texas only took 5 days. Horrible experience to say the least. Yet after I provided the feedback on Proud American to MovingBuddha's founder, there has been no response. Please do not trust the ratings that MovingBuddha gives on the moving companies. Proud American is rated 4 stars on MovingBuddha. But we will not recommend that moving company to anyone. In

We relied on moveBuddha in selecting Safeway Moving Systems for our cross country move. moveBuddha recommends Safeway as one of its "best interstate mover[s]" despite an atypical number of complaints lodged with the BBB and DOT for its size. The "high level of customer service and support" moveBuddha cites for Safeway is completely false, evidenced by the numerous complaints describing dodged calls and emails. Do not trust moveBuddha's recommendations; trust the BBB and DOT complaints/reviews. I suspect moveBuddha is receiving some sort of compensation from the companies it refers.

Through your site we learned so much! Especially that a small move can be tricky. We ended up choosing U-Boxes since my daughter has very few things but too much for a car. I have recommended you to others. I really like how your site had the categories of type of moves and then choices within each.

They recommend services like Proud American Vanlines which have terrible reputations and one star on Yelp but give them five stars on movebuddha. Avoid moveBuddha for your moving advice - I wish I had.

I was interested in the cost of container moving and used this site to receive a quote. You MUST put your contact information to get pricing. This site instantly sold my information to more companies that I can count. Emails are flooding into my inbox daily. I’m receiving many, many calls daily, each from a different moving company that have the details I entered about my move. One week later, It’s not stopping. I’ve gotten 12 phone calls in the last two hours from about 5 different companies. One company called me 6 times over a period of 14 minutes!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION, YOU WILL REGRET IT FOR WEEKS!!!

MoveBuddha recommends Safeway Moving Systems and Always Moving as their top 5 for 2020. I had an awful experience with both. I booked through Safeway, but it was Always Moving who showed up for my move! They damaged several furniture pieces, lost a large mirror, and lost the base of a coffee table. When I tried to follow up with both companies, no one would call me back. Move Buddha is clearly biased and recommending their "partners" that pay them. Total scam.

Total scam, stay away from MOVEBUDDHA!! Movebuddha rates Big Ben's 4.5/5, but Big Ben's is a con and Movebuddha knows that. How? Because I used Big Bens and it was HORRIBLE - 17 broken items and numerous pilfered and lost boxes. I sent emails and had several discussions with Movebuddha's founder telling them the horrors of dealing with Big Ben's. Search Google and you will see all the complaints - 100s!. Still Movebuddha gives them a high ranking after I told them and pointed out online complaints. Total rip-off and obviously they sell high ratings to moving companies. Shut Movebuddha down, please!!

This website was invaluable in helping me move across the country. Cross county is so very different than a local move. moveBuddha outlined in detail all the issues to think about, what to expect and what to watch out for. They then gave detailed recommendations. I highly recommend utilizing this site before you make your next move.

MoveBuddha refers to website that are not registered with the Better Business Bureau, have terrible google reviews, and poor reports on the DOT website. You are much better off relying on Google than this website. I wonder whether these companies pay to be listed on MoveBuddha Website.

Movebuddha was completely off on moving expenses. I had received several quotes around 10-12k for my long distance move, and decided I would just move myself. Movebuddha quoted me a range from 3k-5k for my move, and wasted my time and the other moving companies that laughed at the 3k-5k estimate from movebuddha.

I would not share your information with this company. It's a waste of time.

**The exact same information given to movebuddha was the same i gave to every moving company. Size of house, and number of bedrooms. they were still off by 5k. By saying my 3,000sq foot home is off by 3x tells me movebuddha thinks an average 4BR house is 1,000 sq ft....proving my point above...

Lost in the World of How to Select a Moving Company?
We needed to move our belongings from one side of the country to the other, from a storage unit. Which means, moving companies will not provide a firm estimate. Frustrated at how to assess companies, I started to do some research on the internet and found moveBuddha referenced in a Blog post. I called and had a super conversation which provided some tools of how to go about understanding quotes, what to look for, what to ask questions about and then received recommendations of moving companies who performed my kind of move. They contacted me and I selected a super company. All thanks to MoveBuddha.

It took a little for them to get back to me but the rep explained they're still a young company and overloaded at the moment. Either way, it was worth the wait. I had already booked with a mover but Dax (moveBud rep) pointed out they weren't licensed. I ended up booking a container move service after being exhausted dealing with regular moving companies. Would recommend.
