Sketchy - lots of red flags
I am moving internationally. This will be my 4th time. I mistakenly used an aggregator site to get moving quotes, and got this company which is American, which I was trying to avoid from previous bad experiences with American companies.
Anyway, the response initially was fairly quick, and after a few back and forth via email, I had an unofficial quote that sounded too good to be true. I got one text message on whatsapp, this is ok we are international and it's the same as a telephone. The text was just a follow up.
However, by July 24th I was told the quote was ready and we could move forward, I had questions and it was like pulling teeth to get a response, I kept asking the same questions the same way. I would get replies, but no answers to my direct questions. My question was merely confirming the quote.
July 29th I got an email from the agent. Honestly I skimmed it, and later the agent started texting me. I was already in bed for the night but ok, I am in a different time zone, we all make mistakes. The texts were in regards to the quote, if I had reviewed it. I said I had, and had responded earlier in the day, and I had also responded on July 24th via email. He admitted he did not read the emails. Also, the email that day I had recived was not for me, I have since confirmed that (recall, I skimmed it). The text messages were meant for me, full of emojis and everything.
I clarified I was ready to sign, in the emails, and texted the quote was fine, can we move forward.
THEN, I was told the quote was still being worked on, and that there were problems on the seas, with tariffs and missing information from shipping companies, and all that. I asked "what does that have to do with me?". There are no tariffs on moves.
There are various youtube videos about millenials and how talking to them is like talking to a tree. While not usually my experience, this felt exactly like that. . I decided to call the company customer service number, the main number. I was going to try to see if we could figure this out.
The main company number is a cell phone and it is disconnected. I would put a red flag emoji here if I could. This has cost me 11 days of back and forth only to be ghosted. My time is way too valuable for these kinds of games.
Update 14 October, 2025- I do not see a way to respond to the company here. "The text was unnecessary" is a nonsense response, as I think on it, something AI would say. Interesting if AI is getting into the mainstream market, like a moving company.
But then, are they saying I am AI? Interesting comeback.**pinches arm** Nope, I'm here. I suppose posting emails with headers, and my chat logs on Whatsapp would solidify my claim, but this is not permitted on Trustpilot (I tried).
