Scam website

The business doesn't exist and has no stock to sell. Domain registration is extremely dodgy. Address listed for the business is a home address on a random street linked to a wedding photographer.

Incredibly suspicious positive reviews that read like they were written by AI that have only reviewed mowers.ie and no other company.

Terms and conditions listed on the website are completely illegal.

Very obviously taking money for stock they don't have, and then attempting to enforce illegal terms and conditions and fight chargebacks with fake delivery information.

Worst company in Ireland

Purchased a Luba 2 about 6 months ago. Got the similar run around to other reviews here with constant empty promises of arrival, email of the Lubas in a van only to be told the following week that they had to send out to other customers first. They refused to process my refund request through email and over the phone. Had to get a chargeback done through the bank in the end. Id give 0 stars if it had the option. This company should be shut down for their illegal activities. My advice to anyone: avoid at all costs.

Took money didn't deliver. No refund

Rang and they confirmed the model I wanted was in stock. After i paid they said it was not in stock and offered another model. I asked for a refund instead and now they no longer answer calls or respond to emails. Avoid.
Looks like legal option is only route.

Stay clear!!!

I recently bought a Luba 2 from these guys online. They did not deliver, would not answer their phone, and have still not provided me with a receipt. They will not respond to my calls or emails. I found their location (75 Rochestown Avenue, Dun Laoghaire - A96YR13.) and had to make 3 visits to their home. I was very disappointed to find out they do not have a shop but operate from a van parked in their driveway. I do not expect that they will provide any backup service. I regret getting my mower of them and strongly advise for you to say clear. I will be sending my emails and concerns directly to Luba.

I have just read through some other reviews and I am sure it is illegal to refuse to give refunds for something he can't deliver on time. Brono was asked from me and so many others for refunds and it seems he has not given any.

He needs to be reported to the right governing bodies.

Brono, please do not write a "sincere apology" follow-up to this, I know it is all BS, just like all your copy and paste response below.

I had a small issue with delivery for…

I had a small issue with delivery for the Metabo Mower RM, but it was sorted quickly. The mower is top-notch and makes cutting the grass a breeze. I'm very satisfied with my choice and would definitely order from them again!

I would never order anything from mowers.ie again.

Do not order anything from this company . If necessary, pay a little more to buy from an honest retailer.

Ordered a Luba 2 in May. The website said the item was in stock. Confirmation email said order was getting ready to be shipped. But then nothing.

After 10 days I enquired and I got a response saying the item would be delivered between 11 and 13th of July. This email stated that the other Irish stores would not have stock until August. I now realise, this is because these other companies were not trying to mislead customers about stock levels and delivery times.

Multiple emails making excuses. Multiple phone calls and emails in August were not responded to. A demand for a refund was ignored. Following that I got an email saying the item was dispatched. Further delay was blamed on DPD not picking up the item. DPD confirmed that pick up had not been paid for, and the item had not yet been dropped off to DPD.

Eventually the mower was delivered in September.

I believe this company has total contempt for its customers. I’ve never dealt with a company this bad. Do yourself a favour and stay away.

I went with the Gardena Selino in July

I went with the Gardena Selino in July. Even though there was a slight delay, it arrived in perfect condition. It's lightweight and easy to use, exactly what I needed for my garden. Really happy with the purchase. I'd buy from them again!

I ordered the LUBA 2 AWD 3000 in June, and it arrived in August. I'm thrilled with it! It was easy to set up and works like a charm. The folks at customer service were friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend!

I received my Metabo Mower RM at the end of May. It showed up a bit later than I'd hoped, but they kept me in the loop, so it was alright in the end. The mower is a good piece of kit and handles my lawn well. Decent buy overall.

After doing some research

After doing some research, I decided on the Ryobi Battery Mower in June, and I'm really pleased! Delivery went smoothly, and the mower is lightweight, powerful and perfect for my small garden. Couldn't be happier. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable mower.

My Bosch indigo robot mower arrived in July, and it's a fantastic bit of kit! Delivery was a bit delayed, but they kept me in the loop, so I wasn't too worried. It's super easy to use and does a cracking job on the lawn. Absolutely delighted with this purchase!

mowers.ie follows the playbook of an online scammer

I am deeply disappointed by my experience with mowers.ie who just seem to lie and lie and lie to their paying customers. It has been 3 months since I placed my order and paid an initial deposit. And it is a month since I paid for the mower in full. The website still said that this item was in stock until this week.

I received a number of automated emails between first ordering and final payment, promising me life changing lawn events and telling me how close to delivery my mower was. But once I paid in full the emails stopped as did all communications. This is exactly how scammers operate - doing everything they can to encourage you to give them more money, and once you do they disappear and you never hear from them again.

After many support emails and phone calls with no response, they finally responded with a "guaranteed" delivery day, but "forgot" to include any tracking details. At this stage after reading about these con-men on various forums and review sites, I was not unduly surprised when the guaranteed delivery date arrived and the package did not.

They no longer respond to email. Phoning them gets a "we are very busy and you are in a queue" automated recording - you get to leave a message if you wait for a while. But nobody responds. Hopefully future potential customers of these scammers find these reviews before making the same mistake as the rest of us, who now have to request refunds, or reverse charges on credit cards, or even get solicitors involved.

I ordered the Luba 2 AWD 5000 from Mowers back in early June. Initially, it was a bit challenging to get through to customer service. After a few attempts, I managed to speak with someone who apologized sincerely and explained there was a delay with the container delivery. They offered me a small discount on my next purchase, which was appreciated.

The mower finally arrived Yesterday, and it's fantastic! Despite the delay, I'm satisfied with the product itself. I'm giving 4 stars because, while the delivery hiccup and communication issues were frustrating, the team did their best to make things right, and I'm happy with my purchase in the end.

Buyer Beware

Please, please don't make the same mistake I did. Item never arrived. A couple of made up stories by email promising the world, nothing delivered. Ignored all emails requesting a refund, the phone number had been disconnected. Had to request a card charge back from the bank. This company is a disgrace. Currently as of today their website says they have Luba 2's in stock. I know this to not be true as they have admitted it by email. They are using this false advertising and false in stock quantities to get more money in .

Utterly shocking service

Utterly shocking service, I would highly recommend using anyone else even if this means spending €100s more, please do not waste your time with them. I cannot believe how poor the service was. No responses to emails or phone calls. I was told the item I was purchasing was in stock and would be delivered in 3 days. 5 days later with no mower and no responses they finally said it would be with me in 3 days “100% guaranteed” and it was now in stock. It wasn’t delivered. I’ve gone so far as to speak to the CCPC about this company. Finally, 2 weeks after expected, it turned up.

Placed my order in June for a LUBA 2…

Placed my order in June for a LUBA 2 AWD 5000, and then there was radio silence for a good few weeks. Tried ringing them a few times but no joy, which had me thinking I might’ve been taken for a bit of a ride.

But just when I was about to throw in the towel, I got an email from them explaining the delays, turns out the shipment was stuck in customs. They were very apologetic and promised to keep me in the loop, and to be fair they didn't. However, I got a tracking number from DPD, and the mower arrived last week.

Now that it’s here, I couldn’t be happier with it. The mower does a cracking job. I reckon they had a few bumps along the way, but they were genuine. In the end, they delivered, and that’s what matters. I’d buy from them again, no problem.

Scam Alert: Avoid Bruno’s Mowers.ie

I ordered a Luba2 mower from Mowers.ie in May, expecting delivery in June. They delayed it to July, promising to prioritize my order and claimed to be the only place in Ireland with July stock which subsequently turned out to be a lie. July came and went with more delays. In August, they finally got stock (same time as other Irish retailers) but failed to provide tracking information as promised. Despite numerous attempts, they haven't responded to my emails or calls. Upon further research and seeing other reviews here, it seems this is a scam. After googling the email linked to their paypal mowers.ireland at gmail.com (search full email with quotation marks) it revealed a phone number linked to another shady website, yokefinds.ie, which has similar bad reviews and scam claims. Mowers.ie is run by Bruno, who is clearly unreliable and deceitful. Avoid at all costs and don't take a chance.
