Having recently had to take over the running of our rental property all the Staff have gone out of their way to give me help and advice whenever I have needed it. A special thank you to Jordian for her efficient and friendly handling of all my queries - trivial or otherwise - and also to Karolina for helping me with what seemed to me a complicated and frustrating Insurance Claim.

I'm pretty sure the positive ones are paid off by Murray & Currie. One of the horrible agency I have come across in this life. They have put across their own policy on top of Scottish government. Does not care about customers. There is a hell lot of mental trauma one has to go through in order to get out of their contract. NEVER EVER THINK OF GOING WITH MURRAY & CURRIE.

Jordian is an excellent letting agent. She's extremely professional and efficient. Definitely one of the top employees in the United Kingdom.

Richard took us for the viewing of the property we would go on to buy and was very helpful in answering any questions that came up as well as engaging in further communication afterwards.

I have had a great experience working with Murray and Currie from them managing my flat to organising the sale. The whole team go out of their way to make everything straightforward. There is a real feeling of everyone working together to do their best for the client.

DO NOT RENT WITH MURRAY AND CURRIE NO MATTER HOW NICE THE FLAT IS!!! I rented a flat with them and could only take 6 months of the rubbish! The shower had a clear leak and they put off fixing it for 3 months. I ended up moving out because they wouldn’t fix it. The whole flat smelt due to the leak but no urgency to fix it. They made the experience stressful and uncomfortable. They don’t care at all about treating their renters well. I had to get my guarantor involved with the repairs as they wouldn’t take me seriously as a student. I had to threaten taking them to court for them to just do some sealant that was never going to fix the structural leak. I’ve rented with 3 different agencies and Murray and Currie was by far the worst. Very few at Murray and Currie know what they are doing and I had to tell people in the maintenance department what was wrong multiple times even when a whole string of emails was attached. When I moved into the flat it was filthy, 10+ lightbulbs broken, curtains frayed and dirty, oven filthy just because the owner said it was “clean enough” no one from Murray and Currie checked the cleanliness and then at checkout sent me a list saying that carpets, oven etc needed to be professionally cleaned when I had spent £500+ sorting the flat out, when I emailed about these issues no one replied for weeks and there was 0 compensation just weeks of grief. Seriously unpleasant experience. Not surprised the owner chose to sell the flat with a different company.

Staff were supportive and friendly - but Inventory report which was very detailed and informative did not get sent to us until almost two weeks after getting keys to the property. Meter readings were also not sent us because their “systems” weren’t syncing properly to get us the information

I had a mixed experience with Murray & Currie. On the positive side, they were responsive to enquiries and provided a smooth application process with some helpful guidance. Valuations and advice seemed accurate and professional too. However, the property management side left much to be desired. Upon moving in, there were issues with cleanliness and maintenance, which took far too long to resolve. Communication around utilities was also lacking. While there are some good aspects, the standard of service overall didn’t meet expectations.

The company is always quick in responding to issues that concerns the flat

I moved to Aberdeen quite recently. I had requested and booked for viewings with many other letting agencies. In most cases the viewings were cancelled on the day or one day before.
I was able to visit the first property I requested with Murray & Currie. They were punctual and very professional. I was in a rather hurried timeline and was provided all the support needed at the speed I needed it. So far I have requested for 3 repair works. 2 were done on the next day of request and the 3rd one within the week of request.

Murray & Currie will be my preferred letting agents, if I have to find another place to rent.

Zero recognition of the laws regarding landlord responsibilities.
No response to complaints or attempts to resolve issues.
