Amazing experience and top-notch support!

I recently switched to MusicGPT because they simply offer more than other platforms. The possibilities are amazing! It is free to start, and for those who want more options, the subscription plans (monthly or yearly) are very affordable for everything they provide.

I had a minor issue with my payment, but Elsa resolved it the very next day. Fast and professional support; it couldn't have been better! I highly recommend everyone to download the app or visit the website. Definitely a five-star experience!

Stole My Credits (Don't Buy)

Paid for like 25,000 credits worth of music, next month, all points reset. That's a scam. The platform never told me that my credits would reset.
"Oh yeah, just use 25,000 credit within 30 days or we're taking them back"
I honestly feel like I got robbed.

I subscribed for the Pro Plan for a…

I subscribed for the Pro Plan for a month and could not use anything produced. While the production is crisp and clear, it is the worst at producing Covers (Which is what I needed it for). If you want to create something fresh, YES, this is the platform for you. if you want covers, this will not work. The model does what it wants and does not follow instructions as regards covers. [Update] Customer service is great on the platform, and they attended to my issues and resolved. Hence Upgrading to a 3 star. They have assured me that creating covers will be fixed and I will definitely be trying again in future as the quality of the output remains one of the best.

Unerwartetes Jahresabo + Premium-Funktionen trotz Plus-Plan gesperrt


Ich habe bewusst ein monatliches Plus-Abo abgeschlossen und davon zur Sicherheit einen Screenshot gemacht.
In meinem Stripe-Konto wird nun jedoch zusätzlich ein Jahresabo angezeigt, das ich nicht bewusst abgeschlossen habe.
Das führt aktuell zu erheblichem Klärungsaufwand.
Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass auf der Website von MusicGPT keine klar ersichtlichen Support-Kontaktdaten verfügbar sind. . Erst über ChtaGPT konnte ich eine Kontaktmöglichkeit finden, die Support Adresse findet sich unter privacy-policy ganz unten....
Zudem funktionieren trotz aktivem Plus-Abo die beworbenen Funktionen wie z. B. „Remix“ nicht. Stattdessen erscheint weiterhin die Meldung:
"This is part of our premium tools. Upgrade to unlock."
Obwohl mein Plus-Plan aktiv ist und ausreichend Credits vorhanden sind.
Ich hoffe auf eine zeitnahe und transparente Klärung, da die aktuelle Situation kein Vertrauen schafft.

Lately, very bad. I'm asking for a hip-hop song, and it creates normal song (not hip-hop); I'm asking in the prompt for lyrics in Spanish, and it gives me a song with lyrics in English, a salsa song with lyrics in English, how is that even possible? :(

Improper subscription charge

By mistake, I was charged the one-year subscription. I reported my mistake and they had refunded my money immediately. I would ask the company to be clearer as for the payment. Thank you.

Using your program is easy and has great results. Whether you’re coming up with a prompt to tell it the way you want it to go or whether you’re coming up with your own lyrics you’ll probably experience the same thing I have. Sheer joy! It’s a lot of fun and I would say it’s inexpensive. Out of over 20 songs I only had one I didn’t care for. I’ll keep using this program because it’s easy to use. It’s fun to use. It’s inexpensive to use and the results are phenomenal.

Terrible for my purposes - refunded at least

Firstly I am no internet dummy. I signed up to what I thought was a month. I am quite careful with this sort of thing, but it cheapest one didn't have genre switching so I thought I had clicked to the next level for a month. Then suddenly I have subscribed for a year! Not only that the genre switching option was utterly terrible. I would never had purchased it if I had known. I have emailed for a refund so will see what happens. But I also haven't generated one piece of music as yet that is usable for my purposes.

EDIT upgraded to three star because the response to my refund request was quick and was in full. Still, proceed with care abound subscribing of any kinds

This service is a joke or a scam currently

We had in 3 days more problems with this company than any other throughout the whole year.

1, When making the invoice, they doubled the price per request compared to what was promised in the plans. After contacting their support email, they are not really helpful but try to explain the price, which was never defined previously in their plan descriptions.

2, We are using their API functionality, which is a separate service, and they cannot provide an invoice for it. Even though we already asked 3 times for it from their support team. Also, their website cannot provide the invoice, which should be a core functionality if you provide a service to companies. Such a basic functionality, and not even their support team or website can handle it.

3, Their support is completely unusable and is only gaslighting. They do not provide any meaningful replies or an invoice, although I asked for it multiple times. Also, they are not really taking actions on making an invoice double the price per request, like expected; they are just trying to explain their ridiculous scamming scheme for their website.

Conclusion: Do not use this service, this is a scam basically!

UPDATE:
I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars. Not only did Elsa reverse me back to a monthly plan, but also put my credits back to 5000. She hasn't even seen this review yet, so even more kudos to you Elsa for doing what you said you were going to do, and then some. Greatly appreciate it!
Also, another update....November 20, 2025. I emailed her after posting my update, and asked about changing the titles. She stated that to change the title of a song, to play the song, then click on the title in the actual player, not on the list of songs, and it will allow you to change it. IT DOES! I knew there had to be a super simple way to to do it, but I could not for the life of me figure it out, cause I was trying to change it in the list of song area. Amazing customer service! Thanks again, Elsa!
We are truly amazed at the quality of songs we are creating, and will be upgrading to the Ultra monthly plan before our plan renews.

The product itself is great...amazing even, but could use a bit of tweaking.
The ability to change the name of the title of the songs would be fantastic, especially since we have a downloadable license for each song, and if we change the name, does it still count???
Also, the ability to keep using the same voice for the next song would be a game changer!

My ONLY real issue currently with the company is that I signed up for the MONTHLY Plus Plan, and when I was later showing my husband the price plans, the page said to click to UNLOCK the features of the Plus Plan. I thought I needed to click it to activate it. When I did that, it automatically changed me to the YEARLY plan! GRRRRRRRRRR! I emailed support minutes after, and I got an email response from ELSA stating to let her know the email address attached to my account and she would move me back to the monthly plan. I messaged her back that it was the email I was contacting her from, and repeated it within the email, also thanking for her assistance. I get an email back a couple days later that she needs to get someone else involved. :( NO REFUND has been given as of yet, on the yearly plan. Sure hope that gets taken care of quickly! Just want the monthly plan, currently.
I also asked if I were to later upgrade to the monthly ULTRA plan, and ever need to cancel it, do I still have access to what I've created, but she couldn't answer that.
There really needs to be a change in wording on the Pricing page. It makes sense to say "unlock" to go to a different ranking plan, but really should always say to UPGRADE. Also, it should have a separate screen when upgrading to a yearly plan from monthly, to verify that is what you want to do. None of this would have happened, had that been the case, or if it said to UPGRADE to yearly, not "Unlock Plus features". It was confusing, and I thought I had to do something else to activate the features.

If I ever get my yearly refunded, and they move me back to monthly plan, I'll change my rating from 3 to 5 stars.

Concept is great, Execution was problematic.

Subscribed at the lowest level to try it out and I was impressed at first. I got 2 versions of an instrumental I submitted. The first was just over 1:40 and was very creative. The second had a time of 1:00 and I really liked where it was going but went silent at 37 seconds in. Tried to get a few more things done but all I kept getting was generation failed errors.

I used musicgpt to create a tribute song for Ozzy Osbourne using my lyrics. The result was great. I was impressed. The interface of the website is also really easy and with correct prompt the output are limitless.
