I am a new customer to mweb and its a big mistake. U cannot even change ur email address or phone number. Their emails dont work. I am waiting for a consultant on the live chat for over a week and to make matters worse the coverage is crap

We have been loyal MWeb customers for many years, but the level of customer care is atrocious and we will be forced to look elsewhere. To get hold of anyone for assistance is impossible.
I should have read all the reviews before touching this company. My experience in short, applied for Frogfoot Internet thru Mweb, 25 Jan 2026. Told the process would take 2 weeks. Till today, Wednesday 18 February 2026, I've had ZERO calls, emails, or feedback from them regarding the installation. All I keep getting is a sms message, please send proof of ONT box. Each time I had to phone THEM (Mweb) ive been on hold for 30min plus... avg time on the phone has been an hour. Dont even try chat... you will be lucky if an agent gets back to you or even answer. Guess I got scammed out of R250 installation fee - because I have had ZERO confirmations of my wishes to cancel. I will be reporting them for dishonest conduct, theft and fraud to INCASA? And the Ombudsman!
Absolutely no service from call centre. Emails get stuck somewhere and nobody to help so started using gmail. Waht a shocker after being a client for 40 years really just fix it
Hi everyone, trying to cancel my Mweb fibre line since 01 Feb with no success. I have called daily (waiting hours on hold), tried the website chat with no response, and received 3 ref. numbers confirming a call back - but no calls received in past 15 days. If anyone works at Mweb or is able to assist/escalate this, I would really appreciate it. 🙏
Does Mweb even have a customer service ?? I’ve called countless times and end up giving up because they don’t respond and even when they do they transfer to you another line that won’t pick. I’ve been trying to get my router now for 2 weeks and we haven’t not even resolved an issue that was their responsibility. I’ve only been getting updates because I have to follow up.. That live chat doesn’t even work. I just want to get my admin refund and go somewhere else.
the most pathetic service i have ever received I'm with mweb for 5 years and went over to a new router 5G, the service is pathetic i try to contact mweb I'm holding on for 3-hours they delivered the router via courier 3 day later not installing it, phoned to get help with the installation and holding on R150.00 no answer i just want to cancel with all forth my number is 083 306 3635
Absolutely appalling, wait times more than 2 hours on every platform on every occassion, new customer paid for the router waiting for days, no updates at all
I have been a loyal customer from 2016 I have to say I'm so disappointed with mweb service I have been holding on for the billing appointment for more then an hour now my account just get higher and higher every month and today with no explanation I got a msg that my account is in arrears with R178. And will be suspended I have paid my account every month for years the way you treat your loyal customers is unacceptable I will definitely look for a better service provider 😡
What a bad bad Experience with this company.. From customer services self services what'sapp communications to phones call communications.. We hold for hours waiting for your consultants to answer our calls.. After 3 years of the bad service I'm definitely canceling my services with Mweb.
I have been trying to get hold of Mweb to get access to my emails.
The chat bot doesn't work, I have been number 1 in the queue for 35min. When I complain on their Facebook page I get a response to talk to the chat bot. This is a never-ending circle of BS! When I called in to buy a new package I was answered in 3min. So they are here to take only.....
The worst customer service I've ever encountered. Service was terminated with no prior communication and no explanation. We changed to a different account holder and the product has still not been reactivated after 9 days. The helpline has long wait times and the agents just don't know anything that can help. The chat service will keep you waiting for over an hour with no response over multiple days.
Absolutely shocking service. 2 hour wait on phone until I gave up. Online chat useless - no one answered after 2 hours.
If I could ZERO stars I would! The customer service has been ridiculous and lousy! I am busy switching to fibre and sadly they are my most cost effective option at this point. But imagine customers being the central point of your operation and you can’t keep them satisfied, Live chat and WhatsApp you wait 1-never hours to get responded to, so that forces you to phone them and wait over 20 minutes (less than 20 if you’re lucky) goodbye airtime-and then get redirected to hell and back, just for the lady that whispers and can’t speak up to put the phone down on you because you tell her you can’t hear her. Process repeated about 20 times just to get an answer. I’ve bought 70GB worth out of pocket because they haven’t activated my fibre yet, best part? THEY NEEDED DOCUMENTS THAT THEY NEVER ASKED FOR?! Like I can smell what they need for my fibre to get activated and my router to be sent for delivery because they can’t communicate properly. Fast track to the now, documents sent and I am still waiting, might as well cancel but I can’t as I do not have any other options right now. Horrendous customer service and support, might as well close your doors seeing how bad the reviews are and have been and you still don’t bother to fix it.

Terrible customer service. They have no communication, and take forever just to deliver a router, then don’t provide you with all of the parts necessary to connect it. Then after that, you have to wait another 3-4 days just for them to activate the WiFi itself. Horrible.
